今日はマグロのお寿司屋に行きました。っていうトピックで話します。

Today, I will talk about the topic: "I went to a tuna sushi restaurant."

週末友達とお寿司屋に行きました。

I went to a sushi restaurant with a friend over the weekend.

そのお寿司屋はマグロの専門店でした。

That sushi restaurant was a tuna specialty shop.

専門店って知っていますか専門店は一つだけ売っているお店のことです。

Do you know what a specialty shop is? A specialty shop is a shop that sells only one type of thing.

だからマグロの専門店はマグロだけあります。

So, a tuna specialty shop has only tuna.

他にも例えばスニーカーの専門店とかです。

There are other examples, like sneaker specialty shops.

スニーカーだけ売ってます。

They only sell sneakers.

専門店は1つだけ売っているお店とか、これだけはとても美味しいですよ。

A specialty shop is a shop that sells only one thing, or says, "Only this one is very delicious."

これだけは他の店に負けませんよっていうお店です。

It's a shop that says, "We won't lose to other shops with this one item."

僕が言ったお寿司屋はマグロの専門店でした。

The sushi restaurant I went to was a tuna specialty shop.

寿司って色々ありますよね。

There are many kinds of sushi, aren't there?

マグロとかイクラとかイカとかタコとか魚も色々あります。

There are various kinds of fish like tuna, salmon roe, squid, and octopus.

でもそこはマグロだけありました。

But that place only had tuna.

だからマグロがめちゃくちゃ美味しいですよっていうお寿司屋です。

So, it's a sushi restaurant that says their tuna is incredibly delicious.

そしてそこでマグロを食べたんですけど。

And so, I ate tuna there.

本当に美味しかったんです。

It was truly delicious.

マグロも色々ありますよね。

There are various types of tuna, right?

赤身とか中トロとか大トロとかです。

Like akami, chutoro, and otoro.

僕は中トロが一番好きです。

I like chutoro the best.

だからそこの中トロを食べました。

So, I ate the chutoro there.

本当に美味しくてまた行きたいです。

It was so delicious that I want to go again.

中トロって時々脂っぽいですよね。

Chutoro is sometimes fatty, isn't it?

でもそこの中トロは全然脂っぽくなかったです。

But the chutoro there wasn't fatty at all.

なんか新鮮で食べやすい感じでした。

It felt fresh and easy to eat.

そのお店はお寿司だけじゃなくて、他のマグロのメニューもありました。

That shop didn't just have sushi; it had other tuna dishes too.

例えば、マグロのステーキとかマグロのサラダとかです。

For example, tuna steak and tuna salad.

僕はマグロのステーキを食べました。

I ate the tuna steak.

本当に美味しかったです。

It was really delicious.

とてもジューシーでしたね。

It was very juicy.

僕の友達は大トロが大好きだから、大トロをたくさん食べてました。

My friend loves otoro, so they were eating a lot of it.

本当に美味しいって言ってました。

They were saying it was truly delicious.

日本って面白い専門店がたくさんあると思うんです。

I think there are many interesting specialty shops in Japan.

そして専門店ってわかりやすいですよね。

And specialty shops are easy to understand, aren't they?

そのお店のおすすめがすぐわかります。

You can immediately tell what the shop's recommendation is.

お店の人のおすすめだから味も美味しいです。

Since it's the shopkeeper's recommendation, the taste is also delicious.

美味しいことが多いと思います。

I think it's often the case that they are delicious.

今日はマグロのお寿司屋に行きましたっていうトピックで話しました。

今日は 勉強 時間を 作って ますかっていう トピックで 話します。

Today I will talk about the topic, "Are you making time for study?"

ぼくは オンラインで 日本語を 教えて います。

I teach Japanese online.

生徒さんの 一人が とても 仕事が 忙しいです。

One of my students is very busy with work.

勉強する 時間が ありませんって 言っていました。

They were saying that they don't have time to study.

その 生徒さんは 日本語を たくさん 勉強して います。

That student studies Japanese a lot.

でも 最近 仕事が とても 忙しくなりました。

But recently, work has become very busy.

仕事の ポジションが 上がって とても 忙しくなったみたいなんですね。

It seems like their work position went up and they became very busy.

だから 日本語が 勉強したいけど、時間が ありませんって 言っていました。

So they were saying that they want to study Japanese, but they don't have time.

これは 今 ポッドキャストを 聞いて いる 人にも 大切な トピックだと 思います。

I think this is an important topic for the people listening to the podcast now, too.

みんなは どうやって 勉強の 時間を 作って ますか？

How is everyone making time for study?

ぼくは 勉強は してないけど、本を 読みます。

I am not studying, but I read books.

本が 好きだから 毎日 本を 読みたいんです。

I like books, so I want to read books every day.

埋もれ 時間が ない ときとか 疲れて いる ときは 本が 読めません。

But when I don't have time or when I am tired, I can't read books.

だから 時間を 作ることが 大切だなって 思っていました。

So I was thinking that making time is important.

ぼくの アドバイスは 勉強を ルーティーンの ように することです。

My advice is to make study like a routine.

1日の ルーティーンの 中に 入れる ことですね。

It's about putting it into your daily routine.

例えば、みんなは 毎日 トイレに 行きますよね。

For example, everyone goes to the toilet every day, right?

トイレです。

It's the toilet.

トイレは 勉強するのに いい 場所なんです。

The toilet is a good place for studying.

トイレに 行った とき、勉強するっていう ルーティーンを 作ります。

I make a routine that I study when I go to the toilet.

例えば、トイレの 壁に 新しい 言葉を たくさん 貼ります。

For example, I stick many new words on the toilet wall.

トイレを 出る 前に その 新しい 言葉を 言います。

Before leaving the toilet, I say those new words.

できる 人は 単語を 言う だけじゃなくて、単語で 文を 作ります。

People who can should not just say the words, but make sentences with the words.

それを してから トイレを 出ます。

After doing that, I leave the toilet.

トイレと 勉強の ルーティーンを 作るんです。

I make a routine of the toilet and study.

他にも お風呂は とても いい 勉強する 場所に なります。

Besides that, the bath becomes a very good place to study.

お風呂って カラオケする 人 いますよね。

There are people who do karaoke in the bath, right?

お風呂で 歌を 歌うと 気持ちよく なります。

When you sing a song in the bath, it feels good.

お風呂で カラオケと 同じ ことを するんです。

In the bath, you do the same thing as karaoke.

例えば、自分の 1日の ことを 話します。

For example, I talk about my day.

今日は 仕事に 行きました。

Today I went to work.

そして 仕事の 後で 買い物に 行きました。

And after work, I went shopping.

今日は ラーメンを 作って 食べました。

Today I made ramen and ate it.

とか、自分の 1日の ことを 話したり、明日の スケジュールの ことを 話したり します。

Or, I talk about my day or talk about tomorrow's schedule.

明日は 会議が あります。

Tomorrow there is a meeting.

忙しいですとかです。

Like, "I'm busy."

カラオケを しないで お風呂で 勉強するんです。

I study in the bath without doing karaoke.

勉強してから お風呂を 出ます。

After studying, I leave the bath.

これも お風呂の ルーティーンと 勉強を 合わせました。

This also combined the bath routine and study.

ぼくの 一番の おすすめは スマホです。

My number one recommendation is the smartphone.

スマホの スクリーン ありますよね。

There's the smartphone screen, right?

スマホの スクリーンを 日本語の 新しい 言葉に するんです。

You make the smartphone screen into new Japanese words.

わかりますか メモの アプリで 新しい 言葉を 書いて、それを スマホの スクリーンに します。

Do you understand? You write new words in a memo app and make that the smartphone screen.

そして スマホを 使う とき、その 単語を 言ってから スマホを 使います。

Then when using the smartphone, after saying that word, you use the smartphone.

今日は 大きな 地しんから 15年ですっていう トピックで 話します。

Today I will talk about the topic that it has been 15 years since the big earthquake.

今日は 3月 11日です。

Today is March 11th.

3月 11日は 日本の 人に とって とても 大切な 日なんです。

March 11th is a very important day for Japanese people.

15年前 大きな 地しんが ありました。

15 years ago, there was a big earthquake.

本当に 大きな 地しんでした。

It was a truly big earthquake.

日本では 東日本大震災って 言います。

In Japan, it is called the Great East Japan Earthquake.

ちょっと 難しい 言葉だけど、日本の 東の方で 大きい 地しんが ありましたっていう 意味です。

It is a slightly difficult word, but it means that there was a large earthquake in the eastern part of Japan.

今日で 15年が 経ちました。

Today, 15 years have passed.

とても 早いですね。

It is very fast, isn't it?

早く 感じます。

It feels fast.

今日は 日本の 人に とって とても 大切な 日ですって 言いましたよね。

I said that today is a very important day for Japanese people, right?

たくさんの 人が 亡くなりました。

Many people passed away.

今も たくさんの 人が 見つかって いません。

Even now, many people have not been found.

だから 日本の 人は この 大きな 地しんを 忘れない ために お祈りを します。

Therefore, Japanese people pray so as not to forget this big earthquake.

もくとうって 言います。

It is called a silent prayer.

もくとうは 亡くなった 人を 思う ことです。

A silent prayer is thinking about the people who passed away.

日本の 人は 3月 11日に なると みんなで もくとうを します。

When it becomes March 11th, all Japanese people offer a silent prayer together.

地しんの 時、ぼくは 福島県に いました。

At the time of the earthquake, I was in Fukushima Prefecture.

だから 本当に 本当に 大変だったんです。

So, it was really, really difficult.

福島県は 東北地方の 1部です。

Fukushima Prefecture is a part of the Tohoku region.

東北地方が 大きな 被害を 受けたんです。

The Tohoku region suffered great damage.

ぼくは 福島県に いました。

I was in Fukushima Prefecture.

地しんの 時 仕事 していました。

I was working at the time of the earthquake.

ぼくは 学校の 先生だったから、子どもたちと 一緒に いたんですね。

Since I was a school teacher, I was with the children.

その 時の ことは 今も 忘れません。

I still cannot forget that time.

よく 覚えています。

I remember it well.

地しんの 時、子どもたちが 本当に 泣いていたのを 覚えています。

I remember that the children were really crying during the earthquake.

ぼくは 子どもたちを 守らなくちゃって 思いました。

I thought that I must protect the children.

その 時は ぼくと 子どもたち、同りょうの 人も 安全に にげることが できました。

At that time, I, the children, and my colleagues were able to escape safely.

学校の 外に にげたんです。

We escaped to the outside of the school.

ウェでも、地しんの 後が 本当に 大変でした。

But, it was really difficult after the earthquake.

家が こわれたり、水が 出なかったり、ガスが 使えなかったり しました。

Houses were destroyed, water did not come out, and gas could not be used.

この 時の 生活は 本当に 忘れられません。

I truly cannot forget the life at that time.

ぼくの 家族や 友達は みんな 大丈夫でした。

My family and friends were all okay.

でも たくさんの 人が 亡くなりました。

But many people passed away.

今も 見つかって いません。

Even now, they have not been found.

だから ぼくは 3月 11日に なると もくとう します。

Therefore, I offer a silent prayer when it becomes March 11th.

その 地しんの ことを 忘れない ためです。

It is in order not to forget that earthquake.

今日は 少し 重い トピックでしたね。

今日は 二日酔いになりましたっていうトピックで話します。

Today, I will talk about the topic "I got a hangover."

そうです。

That is right.

僕は日曜日 二日酔いになりました。

I got a hangover on Sunday.

土曜日にたくさんお酒を飲んだんです。

It is because I drank a lot of alcohol on Saturday.

たくさん飲んだから二日酔いになりました。

Because I drank a lot, I got a hangover.

みんなは二日酔いって知っていますか？

Does everyone know what a hangover is?

二日酔いはお酒を飲んだ次の日に気持ち悪くなることです。

A hangover is feeling sick the day after drinking alcohol.

英語でハングオーバーですね。

In English, it is "hangover," right?

僕は土曜日友達と会いました。

I met my friend on Saturday.

久しぶりに会いました。

We met for the first time in a long while.

だからとても嬉しかったんです。

So, I was very happy.

友達と居酒屋に行ってビールを飲んだり、レモンサワーを飲んだりたくさん飲んじゃったんです。

I went to an izakaya with my friend and ended up drinking a lot, like drinking beer and lemon sours.

だから次の日はめちゃくちゃ大変でした。

So, the next day was very difficult.

二日酔いが大変だったんですね。

The hangover was tough, wasn't it?

でも本当に楽しかったんです。

But it was truly fun.

その友達は前一緒に仕事していました。

That friend and I used to work together before.

仕事だけじゃなくて、プライベートでもとてもいい友達でした。

Not just for work, we were very good friends in our private lives too.

その友達と多分 2年ぶりぐらいに会ったんです。

I met that friend for the first time in probably about two years.

だからとても嬉しい気持ちになったんですね。

So, I felt very happy.

友達は 3人いました。

There were three friends.

3人の友達と会ってお酒を飲みました。

I met three friends and drank alcohol.

久しぶりに友達に会うとなんか楽しい気持ちになりますよね。

When you meet friends after a long time, you feel kind of fun, don't you?

最近どうですかとか元気でしたかとか話すことがたくさんあります。

There are many things to talk about, like "How have you been lately?" or "Were you doing well?"

たくさん話すとお酒もたくさん飲みたいですよね。

When you talk a lot, you want to drink a lot of alcohol too, right?

二日酔いになったけど、とてもいい時間でした。

I got a hangover, but it was a very good time.

僕はお酒があまり強くありません。

I am not very strong with alcohol.

パンデミックの前はよくお酒を飲みました。

Before the pandemic, I often drank alcohol.

だからお酒も強かったです。

So, I was strong with alcohol too.

でもパンデミックの後、お酒をあまり飲まなくなりました。

But after the pandemic, I stopped drinking alcohol much.

だからお酒はあまり強くないです。

So, I am not very strong with alcohol.

弱くなりましたね。

I have become weak, haven't I?

だからいつもビール 1杯とか 2杯とか飲みます。

So, I always drink one or two glasses of beer.

でも土曜日はたくさん飲みました。

But on Saturday, I drank a lot.

ビール 2杯とレモンサワー 2杯と日本酒も飲みました。

I drank two glasses of beer, two lemon sours, and also Japanese sake.

みんなは日本酒好きですか？

Does everyone like Japanese sake?

僕はお酒は強くないんです。

I am not strong with alcohol.

でも日本酒が大好きなんです。

But I love Japanese sake.

日本酒ってすぐ酔っ払いますよね。

You get drunk quickly with Japanese sake, don't you?

内もあったかい日本酒とか冷たい日本酒とかいろいろな味があります。

But there are various flavors, like warm sake or cold sake.

だから日本酒をいつも飲むんです。

So, I always drink Japanese sake.

日本酒って特別なイベントの時も飲みますよね。

You drink Japanese sake during special events too, right?

お正月とか結婚式とか特別なイベントの時、よく日本酒を飲むから日本酒っていいですよね。

Since we often drink Japanese sake during special events like New Year's or weddings, Japanese sake is great, isn't it?

たくさんお酒を飲んだから、日曜日は大変でした。

Because I drank a lot of alcohol, Sunday was difficult.

とても気持ち悪かったです。

I felt very sick.

なんかお腹が変な感じでした。

My stomach felt kind of strange.

僕は週末とてもアクティブなんだけど、日曜日は全然ダメでした。

I am usually very active on weekends, but on Sunday, I was no good at all.

全然動きたくなかったです。

I didn't want to move at all.

今日は桜のトピックですね。みんな桜好きですよね。

Today's topic is cherry blossoms. Everyone likes cherry blossoms, right?

僕も大好きです。 3月になりました。

I also love them. It is now March.

3月になるとニュースとかインターネットとかで桜はいつ頃咲きますっていうのがわかります。

When it becomes March, you can find out around when the cherry blossoms will bloom through the news, the internet, and so on.

3月だからもうすぐ桜が咲くと思います。

It's March, so I think the cherry blossoms will bloom soon.

だから僕も桜のニュースをチェックしました。

So I also checked the cherry blossom news.

日本は小さい国です。

Japan is a small country.

でも桜が咲くときは全部一緒じゃないです。

But when the cherry blossoms bloom, it is not all the same.

場所によります。場所によって違うんです。

It depends on the place. It differs depending on the place.

西の方が少しあったかいからいつも早く咲きます。

The west is a little warmer, so they always bloom early.

でも本当に場所によって違います。

But it really differs depending on the place.

だから桜を見たい人はニュースとかインターネットをチェックしなくちゃいけません。

So people who want to see the cherry blossoms must check the news, the internet, and so on.

今日は東京と大阪の桜のことを話します。

Today I will talk about the cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Osaka.

今インターネットを見ています。

I am looking at the internet now.

東京は 3月 18日ごろだそうです。

I heard it will be around March 18th in Tokyo.

そして大阪は 3月 23日だそうです。

And I heard it will be March 23rd in Osaka.

今年は東京の方が早いですね。

Tokyo is earlier this year, isn't it?

この東京は 3月 18日、大阪は 3月 23日これを知っていなくちゃいけません。

You must know this: Tokyo is March 18th, and Osaka is March 23rd.

桜って満開になる時がとても短いです。

The time when cherry blossoms are in full bloom is very short.

満開って知っていますか満開は桜が 100パーセント咲いている時のことです。

Do you know "mankai"? Mankai is when the cherry blossoms are blooming 100 percent.

だから一番綺麗な時たくさん咲いている時を満開って言います。

So we call the most beautiful time, when many are blooming, "mankai".

この満開の時間がめちゃくちゃ短いんですね。

This full bloom time is incredibly short, isn't it?

そして天気もとても大切です。

And the weather is also very important.

雨が降ったら桜も落ちます。

If it rains, the cherry blossoms will also fall.

だからこの桜がいつ咲きますかっていうのと、桜がいつ満開になりますかっていうこの 2つがとても大切なんです。

So these two things are very important: when the cherry blossoms bloom and when they reach full bloom.

今年東京は 3月 18日ごろ桜が咲くそうです。

I heard cherry blossoms will bloom around March 18th in Tokyo this year.

大阪は 3月 23日ごろ桜が咲くそうです。

I heard cherry blossoms will bloom around March 23rd in Osaka.

次はいつ満開になるかをチェックしなくちゃいけません。

Today, I will talk about the topic that there are many okonomiyaki restaurants.

前お酒を飲みに 行ったんです。

I went out to drink some alcohol before.

家ぞくが東京に来たから一しょにお酒を飲みました。

Since my family came to Tokyo, we drank alcohol together.

そしてい酒屋がたくさんある所を歩いていたんですね。

And I was walking in a place where there are many izakayas.

そうしたら、お好みやき屋がめちゃくちゃ多かったんです。

Then, there were a huge number of okonomiyaki restaurants.

僕は前そこの近くに住んでいました。

I used to live near there before.

だからそのい酒屋がたくさんあるエリアによく行っていました。

So I used to go to that area with many izakayas often.

前はお好みやき屋はあまりありませんでした。

There weren't many okonomiyaki restaurants before.

でも前行ったら本とうにたくさんあったんですね。

But when I went there recently, there were really many.

僕は今ポッドキャストをしているから、日本でこれが人気ですとか、これが流行っていますっていうトレンドをよくチェックします。

Since I'm doing a podcast now, I often check trends like what's popular in Japan or what's trending.

でもお好み屋さんが人気ってあまりニュースで見ませんでした。

But I didn't see much news about okonomiyaki restaurants being popular.

だからお好みやき屋さんが多いけど、今人気があるのかなって思ったんですね。

So there are many okonomiyaki restaurants, but I wondered if they are popular now.

お好みやきは好きですよ。

I like okonomiyaki.

めちゃくちゃおいしいです。

It is extremely delicious.

僕も外国から友だちが来るとき、いつもお好みやき屋さんに行きます。

When my friends come from abroad, I always go to an okonomiyaki restaurant.

お好みやきを一しょに食べてお酒を飲んでとても楽しいです。

It is very fun to eat okonomiyaki together and drink alcohol.

だからお好みやき屋さんがたくさんあることは嬉しいんです。

So I'm happy that there are many okonomiyaki restaurants.

でもどうしてかなって思ったんですね。

But I wondered why that is.

これってよくありますよね。前はよく言っていました。

This happens often, doesn't it? I used to say it often.

でも、さい近行きません。

But I don't go there lately.

そして行った時前とぜんぜんちがうってありませんか？僕はよくあるんです。

And don't you find it totally different from before when you go? I often do.

これってとてもワクワクするけど、少し寂しい気持ちになりますよね。

This is very exciting, but it makes you feel a little lonely, doesn't it?

前はこのい酒屋によく行ったけど、今はありませんとか、新しい店がたくさんできて前とちがうとかこういう気持ちってありませんか？

Don't you have these feelings, like "I used to go to this izakaya often, but it's gone now," or "there are many new shops and it's different from before"?

だから僕は家ぞくとそのエリアを歩いていたけど、なんか前とちがうなあって思っていました。

So I was walking in that area with my family, and I was thinking that it's somehow different from before.

少し寂しい気持ちでしたね。

It was a slightly lonely feeling.

今日はお好みやき屋が多いですっていうトピックで話しました。

今日は WBCのことを話します。

Today I will talk about the WBC.

WBCは野球の大会です。

The WBC is a baseball tournament.

とても大きい大会です。

It is a very big tournament.

日本は今ニュースで WBCのことをよく見ます。

In Japan, we often see things about the WBC on the news now.

とても人気があるんです。

It is very popular.

日本は野球とかサッカーとかバスケットボールとかスポーツが人気です。

In Japan, sports like baseball, soccer, and basketball are popular.

でも野球は最近人気になりました。

But baseball has become popular recently.

大谷選手っていうとてもいい野球の選手がいるからです。

That is because there is a very good baseball player named Otani.

大谷選手はアメリカのロサンゼルスドジャースでプレーしています。

Otani plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers in America.

そしてとてもいい選手で活躍しているんです。

And he is an active and very good player.

たくさんの子供たちが大谷選手のことを応援しています。

Many children are rooting for Otani.

そして日本の人も大谷選手のことが本当に大好きだと思います。

And I think Japanese people also really love Otani.

テレビでニュースを見るとき、いつも大谷選手がホームランを打ちましたとか、活躍しましたっていうニュースを見るんです。

When I watch the news on TV, I always see news like "Otani hit a home run" or "he played an active part."

だから、この WBCの大会をたくさんの人が見ると思います。

Therefore, I think many people will watch this WBC tournament.

もちろん大谷選手もアメリカから日本に来ました。

Of course, Otani also came to Japan from America.

今日本で練習しています。

He is practicing in Japan now.

WBCにも出る予定です。

He is also scheduled to appear in the WBC.

みんなの国ではどうですか野球は人気がありますか？

How about in your country, is baseball popular?

日本は最近人気になりました。

In Japan, it has become popular recently.

僕が子供の時も人気があったけど、今はもっと人気になったと思います。

これはやっぱり大谷選手がめちゃくちゃ活躍してるからですね。

This is because, as expected, Otani is playing incredibly well.

大谷選手ってめちゃくちゃ真面目な人だと思うんです。

I think Otani is an incredibly serious person.

野球の試合の後で時々インタビューがありますよね。

There are sometimes interviews after baseball games, aren't there?

そこでいつもいいことを言うんです。

He always says good things there.

いつもポジティブなことを言うから、たくさんの人は大谷選手いいなあって思っていると思うんですね。

Because he always says positive things, I think many people think Otani is great.

僕は野球は最近あまり見ませんね。

I don't watch baseball much lately.

でも WBCは見ようと思っています。

But I am thinking of watching the WBC.

大きい大会だからまあ見た方がいいと思います。

It's a big tournament, so I think it's better to watch it.

アメリカのスーパーボールと同じかもしれませんね。

It might be the same as the Super Bowl in America.

あまりアメフトは見ないけど、スーパーボールだけ見ますっていう人いますよね。

There are people who say they don't watch American football much, but they watch only the Super Bowl, right?

僕も同じかもしれません。

I might be the same.

前の WBCの大会は日本が勝ちました。

Japan won the previous WBC tournament.

日本のチームって野球が強いんです。

Japanese teams are strong at baseball.

だから、この WBCの大会もとてもワクワクしています。

So, I am also very excited about this WBC tournament.

大谷選手も他の選手もみんな頑張ってほしいです。

I want Otani and all the other players to do their best.

今日はひなまつりのことを話します。

Today, I am going to talk about Hinamatsuri.

みんなはひなまつりって知っていますか？

Does everyone know what Hinamatsuri is?

ひなまつりは日本のイベントです。

Hinamatsuri is a Japanese event.

とてもでんとうてきなイベントなんです。

It is a very traditional event.

ひなまつりは3月3日にします。

Hinamatsuri is held on March 3rd.

そしてひなまつりは女の子のイベントなんです。

And Hinamatsuri is an event for girls.

女の子のことをお祝いするイベントです。

It is an event to celebrate girls.

ひなまつりは女の子をお祝いします。

Hinamatsuri celebrates girls.

女の子が健康で元気に大きくなってくださいとか、幸せになってくださいとかお祝いします。

We celebrate and pray for girls to grow up healthy and strong, and to be happy.

僕の兄弟は3人です。

I have three siblings.

お兄さんと弟がいます。

I have an older brother and a younger brother.

みんな男の人です。

Everyone is male.

だから今までひなまつりをお祝いしたことがありませんでした。

So, I had never celebrated Hinamatsuri until now.

でも僕は今小さいむすめがいます。

But now I have a young daughter.

女の子です。

She is a girl.

だから最近はひなまつりをお祝いするんです。

So, lately, I celebrate Hinamatsuri.

ひなまつりの時はおひなさまっていう人形を飾ります。

During Hinamatsuri, we display dolls called Ohinasama.

これはぬいぐるみじゃないです。

These are not stuffed animals.

人形です。

They are dolls.

ちょっと昔の日本の人っぽい人形を飾ります。

We display dolls that look like Japanese people from a long time ago.

僕のうちにも男の人と女の人の人形が飾ってあります。

At my house, too, male and female dolls are displayed.

このおひなさまの人形がめちゃくちゃきれいなんです。

These Ohinasama dolls are incredibly beautiful.

この人形はひなまつりの時だけ飾ります。

These dolls are only displayed during Hinamatsuri.

だから本当に特別な人形とか飾りなんです。

So, they are truly special dolls and decorations.

めちゃくちゃ日本っぽい人形ですね。

They are very Japanese-style dolls, aren't they?

飾りも桜とか日本の着物っぽい服とかを着ています。

The decorations include things like cherry blossoms, and the dolls wear clothes like Japanese kimono.

だからこれは特別な人形です。

So, these are special dolls.

おひなさまって言います。

They are called Ohinasama.

そしてひなまつりの時は特別な料理を食べます。

And during Hinamatsuri, we eat special food.

特にひなあられが僕は好きです。

I especially like Hina-arare.

ひなあられは特別なおかしです。

Hina-arare is a special sweet.

ピンクとか白とか緑の小さくて甘いおかしです。

They are small, sweet treats that are pink, white, and green.

これはスーパーで買えます。

You can buy these at the supermarket.

でもひなまつりの時だけです。

But only during Hinamatsuri.

いつも買えません。

You cannot buy them all the time.

だから特別なおかしなんです。

So, it is a special sweet.

僕も今年のひなまつり、家族とひなあられを食べました。

I also ate Hina-arare with my family during Hinamatsuri this year.

とても美味しかったです。

It was very delicious.

もちろん他の特別な料理もあるけど、ひなあられのことだけ話しました。

Of course, there are other special dishes, but I only talked about Hina-arare.

今日はひなまつりのことを話しました。

Today, I talked about Hinamatsuri.

今日はデカドリンクのことを話します。

Today, I am going to talk about "Deka-drinks."

最近日本でとても人気がある飲み物です。

They are drinks that have been very popular in Japan lately.

デカドリンクって言います。

They are called Deka-drinks.

でかいって分かりますか。

Do you know what "dekai" means?

でかいは大きいっていう意味です。

"Dekai" means "big."

とてもカジュアルな言葉です。

It is a very casual word.

だからデカドリンクはとても大きい飲み物のことです。

So, Deka-drinks are very large drinks.

最近このデカドリンクが人気があるみたいです。

Lately, it seems these Deka-drinks are popular.

若い人にとても人気だそうです。

I heard they are very popular among young people.

僕は前デカドリンクが人気ですっていうニュースを見ました。

I saw a news report before saying that Deka-drinks are popular.

だからインターネットで調べたんです。

So, I looked it up on the internet.

デカドリンクめちゃくちゃ大きいです。

Deka-drinks are incredibly large.

デカドリンクは大きいんだけど、値段が安いんです。

Deka-drinks are large, but the price is cheap.

だいたいデカドリンク1つで200円から500円くらいです。

Generally, one Deka-drink is about 200 to 500 yen.

安いですよね。

It's cheap, isn't it?

そして700ミリリットルとか800ミリリットルくらいあるそうです。

And I heard they are about 700 or 800 milliliters.

大きいですよね。

It's big, right?

僕のすいとうより大きいです。

It's bigger than my water bottle.

若い人はこのデカドリンクを買って飲みながら友達と歩くのがトレンドだそうです。

It seems to be a trend for young people to buy these Deka-drinks and walk with friends while drinking them.

面白いですよね。

It's interesting, isn't it?

でも僕はデカドリンクを飲んだことがありません。

But I have never drunk a Deka-drink.

だって同じ飲み物をたくさん飲みたいですか。

I mean, do you want to drink a lot of the same drink?

僕は少しでいいんです。

A little bit is enough for me.

美味しい飲み物を少し飲みたいんですね。

I want to drink a little bit of a delicious drink.

だから大きい飲み物はいりません。

So, I don't need large drinks.

でも若い人はこのデカドリンクを飲むのがはやってるそうです。

But it seems that drinking these Deka-drinks is in fashion among young people.

人気があるそうですね。

They seem to be popular.

なんか人気があるものって面白いですよね。

Things that are popular are kind of interesting.

前はタピオカドリンクがとても人気でした。

Before, tapioca drinks were very popular.

でも今タピオカドリンク屋さんはあまりありませんね。

But now, there aren't many tapioca drink shops.

だから人気があったけど、すぐ人気がなくなります。

So, they were popular, but the popularity disappears quickly.

このデカドリンクも同じかもしれないですよね。

These Deka-drinks might be the same.

今はいけぶくろとかしぶやとかながはまとかで飲めるそうです。

I heard you can drink them in places like Ikebukuro, Shibuya, or Yokohama now.

だから飲みたい人はデカドリンクをぜひ飲んでください。

So, people who want to drink them, please do try a Deka-drink.

味もいろいろあるみたいだからお店に行って味を選ぶのも楽しいかもしれません。

There seem to be various flavors, so it might be fun to go to the shop and choose a flavor.

今日は旅行の計画を立ててますっていうトピックで話します。

Today, I will talk about the topic of making travel plans.

今旅行の計画を立ててます。

I am making travel plans right now.

「計画を立てます」って知ってますか ？

Do you know "keikaku o tatemasu"?

これは英語で to planですね。

This is "to plan" in English, right.

そうです。

That's right.

今旅行の計画を立ててるんです。

I am making travel plans now.

日本は 5月にゴールデンウィークがあります。

Japan has Golden Week in May.

ゴールデンウィークは長い休みです。

Golden Week is a long holiday.

大抵 4日間とか 5日間休みです。

Usually, it is a 4-day or 5-day holiday.

このゴールデンウィークに旅行に行きたいって思っています。

I am thinking that I want to go on a trip during this Golden Week.

僕は家族と旅行に行きたいです。

I want to go on a trip with my family.

だから家族みんなで行けるところがいいなって思っています。

So, I think a place where the whole family can go would be good.

温泉がいいと思います。

I think an onsen (hot spring) would be good.

温泉って大人も楽しいし、子供も楽しいですよね。

Onsens are fun for adults, and fun for children too, right?

だから温泉はいいと思っています。

So, I think an onsen is a good idea.

でもゴールデンウィークの旅行ってまあまあ大変なんです。

But traveling during Golden Week is somewhat difficult.

めちゃくちゃ混むんです。

It gets incredibly crowded.

ゴールデンウィークの時たくさんの人が旅行します。

Many people travel during Golden Week.

だからめちゃくちゃ人が多いんです。

So, there are a huge number of people.

そして早く予約しなくちゃいけません。

And you have to make reservations early.

ホテルとかレストランとか予約しなくちゃいけないんです。

You have to reserve things like hotels and restaurants.

予約しなかったらダメです。

If you don't make a reservation, it's no good.

ホテルはありません。

There will be no hotels available.

レストランでも食べれません。

You won't be able to eat at restaurants either.

予約も大変です。

Making reservations is also difficult.

僕の両親は福島県に住んでます。

My parents live in Fukushima Prefecture.

だから、福島県に旅行するのがいいと思っています。

So, I think traveling to Fukushima Prefecture would be good.

両親は近いし、僕は福島県出身だし、いいアイディアだと思います。

It's close for my parents, and I am from Fukushima Prefecture, so I think it's a good idea.

僕は福島県出身だけど、行ったことがないところがたくさんあるんです。

Although I am from Fukushima Prefecture, there are many places I have never been to.

みんなもわかりますよね。

Everyone understands, right?

自分が住んでいるとうちの近くはあまり旅行しません。

When you live somewhere, you don't really travel near your home.

違うところに行きたいですよね。

You want to go to a different place, right?

だから福島県を旅行したことがあまりありません。

So, I haven't traveled around Fukushima Prefecture much.

今は福島県のいい温泉を探しています。

Now, I am looking for a good onsen in Fukushima Prefecture.

実は福島県って温泉がたくさんあるんです。

Actually, there are many onsens in Fukushima Prefecture.

そしてラーメンがめちゃくちゃ美味しいんです。

And the ramen is incredibly delicious.

喜多方ラーメンって言います。

It's called Kitakata ramen.

醤油ラーメンですね。

It's a soy sauce ramen, right.

喜多方ラーメンは最近人気になりました。

Kitakata ramen has become popular recently.

朝ラーメンが人気なんです。

"Asa-ramen" (morning ramen) is popular.

朝ラーメンですよ。

It's ramen in the morning.

朝ラーメンを食べるんです。

People eat ramen for breakfast.

これがめちゃくちゃ人気になってたくさんの人が朝ラーメンを食べます。

This has become incredibly popular, and many people eat morning ramen.

だから、ゴールデンウィークの旅行は温泉に入って、朝ラーメンを食べる計画を立てています。

So, for the Golden Week trip, I am making a plan to soak in an onsen and eat morning ramen.
