Building with Loyal Hearts 

1. Giving to God’s House is a Heart and Loyalty Issue

1 Chron 22:19 So dedicate your hearts and lives to serving the LORD your God. Start building the holy place of the LORD God

1 Chron 28:9-10 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. 10 Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.”

• Loyalty (Shalem) full, complete, a whole heart or a perfect heart 
• God doesn’t want some of our heart he wants the whole thing
• Our actions including our giving will always follow our hearts

Matt 6:21 Wherever your treasure (wealth) is, there the desires of your heart will also be

2 Cor 8:5 They did more than we had expected. First, they gave themselves to the Lord and then to us, since this was God's will.

2. When God Has Loyalty of Heart He Can Then Release His Blessing 

Jn 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life

• There is nothing like sacrificial heart giving that releases miracles 

Gen 22:1-2,9-14 Later God tested Abraham and called to him, “Abraham! “Yes, here I am!” he answered. 2 God said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I will show you.”9 When they came to the place that God had told him about, Abraham built the altar and arranged the wood on it. Then he tied up his son Isaac and laid him on top of the wood on the altar. 10 Next, Abraham picked up the knife and took it in his hand to sacrifice his son. 11 But the Messenger of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Yes?” he answered. 12  “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you did not refuse to give me your son, your only son.” 13 When Abraham looked around, he saw a ram behind him caught by its horns in a bush. So Abraham took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering in place of his son. 14 Abraham named that place The Lord Will Provide. It is still said today, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

• With God it’s not just about the money it’s the heart that he is after 
• God doesn’t mind us having riches he minds riches having us
• Giving becomes the greatest test of our devotion to God, it’s the fastest and most effective way to dedicate our hearts to him  
• After sacrificial giving always comes great miraculous breakthrough

Phil 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus

• Riches - Wealth, money, possessions, abundance, valuables 
• David was so wealthy and powerful because God had his heart 

1 Chron 29:1-3, 5 The work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the Lord God. 2 Now for the house of my God I have prepared with all my might 3 Because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver 5 Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the Lord?”

1 Chron 16:29 Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him, worship Him in the beauty of holiness!

• Glory also means Doxa – The praise due God, to obey God

Give God the Glory

1. The Glory of God is His Goodness 

Ex 33:18-19 “Please, show me Your glory.” 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you”

• Glory means to be heavy with everything good
• Goodness is the greatest of all that is positive and desirable. God’s love and goodness blesses, protects and gives victory 
• Sages – the set time has come to show you as much of divine goodness as you can comprehend and handle
• He is pouring heavy goodness out but we must be ready to receive  

Jer 33:9 Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.’

2.  The Fear and Reverence for God Prepares Us for His Goodness

Ps 31:19 Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid (treasured) up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!

• Treasured up goodness for those who honor and reverence the Lord
• Fear (Reverence) is what we pay to kings because of their majesty
• The unlimited goodness of God is limited by our minds, attitudes and lifestyle, drawing near to His presence and word changes us
• The glory of God is attracted to Holy living, that which is sanctified

2 Cor 3:18 But we all are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord

Rom 12:1-2 I urge you, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is His good, pleasing and perfect will 

3. Fearing the Lord in Our Stewardship Prepares Us for Heavy Glory 

1 Chron 16:29 Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him, Worship Him in the beauty of holiness! 

• Glory also means Doxa – The praise due to God, means to obey God 
• God stores up goodness for us, but we do the same for Him
• To glorify God is to fear, honor and to obey His purposes

• David’s offering - 2,688,000,000 + 17,280,000,000 = 19,968,000,000

1 Chron 29:13-14,16 “Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name. 14 But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You. 16 O LORD our God, from Your hand comes all this abundance that we have provided to build You a house for Your holy Name, and all of it belongs to You

• Lit – everything that exists is from you, and we administrate it from your hand, because David understood this he was trusted with it 

1 Sam 13:14 But now your rule will not last. The Lord has found a man who is pleasing to him in every way. He has chosen him to rule over his people, because you have not obeyed the Lord

Acts 13:22 David will please My heart. He will do all I want done

Jn 17:4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do

Built for Greater Glory – The Timing of God

1. Understanding the Timing of God and How it Works 

Ps 102:13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.

• Time (Kairos) An Opportune time, Set time, due time, proper time, appointed time or season, a moment of maximum opportunity, it is a moment when change is possible and a moment when all things “come together” and align

Lk 19:44 Because you did not know the time of your visitation

Jer 38:20 Obey the voice of the LORD in what I am telling you, that it may go well with you and you may live.

2 Chron 20:20 Believe His prophets, and you shall prosper

2. Glorify and Honor God with Obedience in These Seasons 

1 Pet 2:12 Glorify God in the day of visitation

Haggai 1:2-11 Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.” Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying,  “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes. Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands

3. We Are In a Miracle Season and It’s About to Get Stronger 

Haggai 2:8-9 The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. And in this place, I will bring peace. I, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

• Glory (Chabod) weightiness, that which is substantial or heavy, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches and excellence, it is the goodness of God
• Just like neglecting God’s House in the wrong season affected them negatively, blessing God’s house in the right season brings blessing

1 Kings 17:12-16 She replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.” Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.’” She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah

• She could have allowed excuses, reasoning, fear, unbelief, rebellion to rob her of this great miracle season, but she believed and obeyed 
• We need to give to God because we’re grateful, but we must also give to God expecting a great miracle harvest on what we sow 

Grace and Glory

1. Thankful for the House of God  

Psalm 34:6 This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles

• My life was changed in the House of God
• Share your story

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you

• We didn’t realize as we were seeking God and being faithful to God and HIs house He was healing us and restoring us and generational curses were being broken
• It was in the House of God that I was healed of a broken heart

Psalm 84:11-12 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. 12 Lord Almighty,  blessed is the one who trusts in you

Psalm 107:8-9 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.

2. Experiencing Grace and Glory #TheGoodnessofGod

Ex 33:18-19 And he said, Please, show me Your glory 19 Then He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you…

• His glory is His goodness (the blessings) testify a little brag on God a little 

2 Tim 2:13 If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. 

• God is faithful even when we are unfaithful

3. Freedom We Received Freedom We Give

• This is why we do what we do 
• Bringing God’s freedom 

Isaiah 61:1  The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty (freedom) to the captives,

And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

4. Build God a House for His Glory

Exodus 25: 1- 2, 8 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering. And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them 

Haggai 2:6 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory, says the Lord of hosts. 8 The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts. 9 The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

Built for Greater Glory – To the Faithful Church

1. God Builds Us with The Characteristics of Faithfulness

Is 43:7 Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created (built) for my glory, whom I formed and made

Rev 3:1-13 “to the angel of the church in (Philadelphia) Whittier write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly” Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. 13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” 

2. A Faithful Church Always Works for the Lord Even with Little Power

Js 1:3 The testing of your faith develops Patience (endurance)

• Endurance - to be underneath something, to remain in your spot, to keep a position and stance, to make up your mind to maintain some territory that has been gained 
• Soldiers hold your position in the middle of fierce battles 
• In spiritual battle we use our supernatural power, endurance helps us to be steadfast, unmovable and outlast and outlive our enemies

1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain

3. A Faithful Church Keeps God’s Word and Doesn’t Deny His Name 

Acts 13:36 After David served God's purpose in his generation, he slept

Ex 9:1 Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, so that they may worship me."

Acts 26:19  I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.

• They deny because the fear of others, fear of ridicule & persecution
• God said you had the chance to break your vow and walk away and you didn’t do it, you stayed loyal to me and my cause 

Heb 10:38-39 And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.” But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved

4. A Faithful Church is Joyful Knowing They Are Built For Greater Glory 

Js 1:2-4 Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing

• A perfect Church is mature and ready to handle greater Glory 
• A faithful Church will have their opposers (satan) bow their knees
• A faithful Church will have God ordained open doors
• A faithful Church will receive special protection from the Lord
• A faithful Church receives blessings in this life and in the one to come 

2 Cor 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal

Built for Greater Glory

1. If You Believe You Will See The Glory of God

Ps 84:11-12 The Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.  What joy for those who trust in you

● Glory (Chabod) weightiness, that which is substantial or heavy, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches and excellence, it is the heavy goodness of God

Jn 11:40 Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”

2. Built Through Tested Faith, Faith Not Tested is Faith That Can’t Be Trusted

Is 43:7 Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created (built) for my glory, whom I formed and made

Ps 105:19 Until the time came to fulfill his dreams (Prophetic promise), the LORD tested (refined) Joseph’s character

● Metal is forged in the fire because it is built to withstand great pressure and to last so God forges us in the fire because he prepares us for the glory – glory means weight or pressure
● Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, David & Paul were built by fire for the glory
● Testing fire purifies motives and produces confidence in God’s will

1 Pet 1:7 The genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory and honor to Jesus Christ

3. Built Through Patience, Developing Contentment and Endurance

Rom 5:3-4 We glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope

● The early church called patience the queen of all virtues
● If you’re not satisfied today with what you have, getting more won't fix it

Phil 4:11-13 I’m not telling you this because I’m in need, for I have learned to be satisfied in any circumstance. I know what it means to lack,and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. (Dependency)

Js 1:3 The testing of your faith develops Patience (perseverance)

● Patience – to be underneath something, to remain in your spot, to keep a position and stance, to make up your mind to maintain some territory that has been gained (spiritual bench-pressing)
● Patience is a military word that was given to soldiers to hold their position in the middle of fierce adversity and battle
● To do this the soldiers had to have great courage and character
● Patience develops (Character) persistence, tenacity, determination

Heb 6:12,15 Then you will not be sluggish, but will imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

● Endurance, steadfast, unmovable, to outlast and outlive our enemies

Js 5:11 We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful

Job 42:10,12 And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. So the LORD blessed Job's latter days more than his first

Job 23:10 But he knows the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold

How to Manifest God’s Promises for Grace & Glory in 2021

1. The Word of God Has The Power to Bring Itself to Pass

Is 55:11 So My word I send it out, it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it

The word of God is God and it can be relied upon

Mk 4:19 Worries of this age, the seduction of wealth, and the lusts for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful

To choke utterly as weeds do plants, to strangle out, to drown

2. Greed & Worry Make the Word Unfruitful, Barren, Profitless, Useless

Hag 1:1-7 ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lords house should be built. Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Here God’s people got into trouble because they decided to build their house while neglecting God’s house, the source of glory

Lk 12:16 “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

This man was rich toward himself but not rich towards God

2021 make sure you're rich toward the house of his glory

Lk 12:22-24,28-32 “I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom and these things will be given to you as well. “Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

3. The Coming Glory Coming to God's House
Hag 2:6-9 (In a little while)... I will shake all nations... I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of the 2nd temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place, I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

Entering Into Greater Grace and Glory 

1. Make a Fresh Commitment to Pray and Seek the Lord 

Matt 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you openly

Gen 32:24,29 Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Then Jacob asked, saying, “Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said, “Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there

• You don’t see his time with God, but you see the evidence of it 

Heb 11:6 Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him

2 Chron 7:13-15 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence (Plague, Disease, Contagion, Infection, Pandemic) among My people if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place

2. Make the Lord Our Tower of Trust and Cast All Our Worries On Him

Ps 62:6-8 (TLB) Yes, he alone is my Rock, my rescuer, defense, and fortress why then should I be tense with fear when troubles come? My protection, success and Glory come from God alone. He is my refuge, a Rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust him all the time. Pour out your longings (heart) before him, for he can help!

• Many times, great glory is connected to warfare, learning that the Lord is a strong tower will be key to being trusted with greater grace

Ps 59:16 In my most troubled hour You defended me, You’re my shelter

Ps 56:11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (What can the son of earth do to me)

1 Pet 5:7 (TLB) Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you

3. We’re About to Reap What We Sowed for And What We Didn’t Sow For 

Jn 4:38 I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor

Josh 24:13 So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build; and you live in them and eat from vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant

Deut 8:8-10 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you

1. Grace and Glory Defined

• Grace is a free gift, it’s unearned and undeserved, favor, blessing, ability, wisdom, joy and strength from God

2. The Glory is Always Connected to the House of God

2 Chron 7:1-3 When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever.”

• Awesome - To fear, to revere (what an incredible privilege we have)

1 Chron 28:10 So take this seriously. The LORD has chosen (selected) you to build a temple as His sanctuary (house). Be strong, and do the work

Is 60:7 I will glorify (adorn, beautify) the house of My glory

3. Prayer in God’s House Reverses Curses and Releases Glory 

2 Chron 7:12-16 I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.  When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. (Be very wise on handling the house of Glory)

For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged

Haggai 2:9 The future glory of this Temple will be greater than its past glory, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. And in this place, I will bring peace. I, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!
