2021 The Year of God’s Grace and Glory

Ps 84:10-12 I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Blessed is the man who trusts in You!

1. The Lord Gives More Grace in 2021

Ps 102:13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion (Church), for it is time to show favor (graciousness) to her; the appointed time has come

● Grace is a free gift, it’s unearned and undeserved, favor, blessing, ability, wisdom, joy and strength from God

2. The  Lord Gives Undeserved and Unearned Glory in 2021

Isa 60:1-3,9,11,12 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your sons from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor. Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that men may bring you the wealth of the nation’s their kings led in triumphal procession. For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish it will be ruined

● Glory (Chabod) weightiness, that which is substantial or heavy, honor, splendor, power, wealth, authority, magnificence, fame, dignity, riches and excellence, it means to be renowned

● Glory is also defined as the manifest presence of God, it’s when God’s goodness hits your life

1 Chron 13:14 The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had

Ex 33:14-19 “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then he said to Him, “ If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are on the face of the earth.” So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you , and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I’ll be gracious to who I will be gracious, and I’ll have compassion on who I’ll have compassion.”

● When God’s glory is with us, victory and success is guaranteed

Ps 37:10-13 A little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming

3. The Lord Gives Grace and Glory but it Must be Received by Faith #trust

1 Jn 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith

Mk 5:36 Jesus told him, "Don't be afraid; just believe."

Mk 9:23 Everything is possible for one who believes

Jn 11:40 Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?

How to Outlast Every Storm and Finish Strong

Mk 4:35,37-40 “Let us cross over to the other side.” 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing (Satan words)?” 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” 

1. Don’t Stare at the Fear, Stare at the Savior and His Promise to You 

Matt 14:29-31 “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him “O you of little faith why did you doubt?”

• Do not be afraid - To gaze at, to inspect, consider, or bewildered
• Fear always rushes in when faith is not present
• Like God needs our faith to operate, Satan needs our fears to operate
• Fear is the door opener to unbelief, remember it was unbelief that kept God’s people from the promised land

Heb 3:12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God

• It’s actually the most dangerous of sins, it stops the power of God in men’s lives and it keeps men out of heaven 

Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him

Mk 6:5-6 And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 And he was amazed at their unbelief

• Don’t just talk about the storm in fear, but speak to it in faith 

Mk 11:23 Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says

2. No Fear Here Because My Father Loves Me 

1 Jn 4:18 There’s no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been perfected in love

• Worry and anxiety are tormentors, torment is the element Satan uses to cause you to think that God is not going to help you  
• Fear remaining in our lives reveals our lack of faith in Fathers love 

Rom 8:15 You did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out “Abba Father”  

• Fear always brings bondage, faith always brings freedom
• The greatest gift Jesus gave us was adoption by his Father 

Jn 17:23 You have loved them as You loved Me

Is 9:6 And His name will be called Everlasting Father

Heb 12:9 Be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

Matt 6:31-32 Do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need these things 

Ps 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me

The Lord Jesus Is With Us As Our Savior

1. The God We Serve is Willing and Able to Save

Matt 1:21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins

• Jesus (The Salvation of Jehovah) to save, heal, preserve, rescue, deliver, prosper, happiness, and general well being 

Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved 

2. He Saves Us From Our Mistakes, Failures and Sicknesses 

1 Pet 2:24 By His wounds you have been (forgiven) and healed

• Forgiveness and healing always go together #Yourrights

Is 33:24 No one living in Zion (Church) will say, “I am ill and the sins of those who dwell there will be forgiven”

Ps 103:3 (niv) He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases

2 Chron 7:14 Pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land

3. His Salvation Promises Protection, Prosperity and Success #Yourrights

Josh 1:8-9 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go

Ps 3:8 Salvation (protection and prosperity) belongs to the Lord, and your blessing is upon Your people! 

4. How to Receive Our Salvation – Believe, Receive, Confess, Resist 

Rom 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved 

Mk 11:23 Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says

Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue

Rom 4:17 (As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did

5. The Warfare of Worry, Learn How to Resist This Dangerous Temptation 

1 Pet 5:7-10 Cast all your anxiety (worry) on him because he cares for you. 8  Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10  And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast (we can't start in faith and finish in drought)

• You may have something to worry about, but it’s not worth it
• Worry makes us miserable and it opens the door to the enemy 
• Worry doesn’t change anything it only makes things worse 
• Plan for tomorrow use wisdom, but don’t worry about tomorrow

Matt 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own

1.  Faith in God’s Grace and Favor is Crucial for Any Victory

Lk 1:28,30,38 The angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Then Mary said, “Let it be to me according to your word” 

• Highly favored (He has made us) this statement must be received 
• Grace is a free gift, it’s unearned and undeserved, favor, blessing, ability, wisdom, joy and strength from God

2 Chron 20:20 Believe in the LORD, and you shall be established

• Faith is what connects us to the blessings of God including grace 

Rom 5:2 We have access by faith into this grace  

2 Cor 4:13-14,16-18 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak, Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal 

• The spirit of faith speaks the grace train is headed my way 
• Keeping a strong spirit of faith is not God’s responsibility, it is ours

Ps 41:11 By this I know that you have favored me, because my enemy does not triumph in victory over me

1 Pet 5:6-11 God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble. So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But  may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you 

2 Cor 12:9-10 My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2. Giving to the Will of God Releases Greater Grace in Our Lives

2 Cor 8:6-7 We appealed to Titus, since he was the one who got you started and encouraged you to give, so he could help you complete this generous undertaking on your behalf. You do well and excel in every respect in unstoppable faith, in powerful preaching, in revelation knowledge, in your passionate devotion, and in sharing the love we have shown to you. So make sure that you also excel in grace-filled generosity

Ex 36:5 The people are bringing more than is needed for the construction of the work the LORD commanded to be done

• By grace we will finish the project the Lord has placed before us 
• The same miracle Freedom received is the same season you’re entering 

2 Chron 20:20 Believe His prophets, and you shall prosper

• Be established in the prophet and you will push forward and prosper 

Zack 4:6-9 This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” Says the Lord of hosts.” Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the final stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying:  “The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you”

The Lord is With Us as Our Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace

Matt 1:23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name “Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us”

1. He’s With Us As Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace, So Don’t Worry

Is 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

● Peace (Shalom), safe, well, happy, welfare, health, prosperity

Matt 6:25-32 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things

● Worry - Overcome with anxiety, to be anxious about, distracted

Matt 13:22 The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the Word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth (distraction) choke it, making it unfruitful

 2. Because the Lord is With Us, You Know Where to Find Us

Matt 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble

● I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I know God will be with us

Lk 2:49 He said to them, "Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be about My Father’s business?”

1 Cor 15:58 My beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing your labor is not in vain

Jn 4:34 My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and finish His work

Heb 10:9 Here I am, I have come to do Your will

Jn 17:4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do

● 27 years ago, I made a commitment to my Father and His will

Lk 4:18 The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed

● 17 years ago, I had an encounter in my bedroom to bring Freedom

Ex 8:1 Go to Pharaoh and tell him that this is what the LORD says: 'Let My people go, so that they may worship Me’

Lk 4:43 Jesus told them, ‘I must preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God to the other towns as well, because that is why I was sent’

Give Thanks - Thank God that He Gave 

1. God Gave His Best because He Wanted to be with Us

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life

• Because God gave his best, we can have peace
• Peace is a gift, we can't earn it or deserve it 

Jn 14:1,27 (nlt) Don’t let your hearts be troubled trust in God 27 Peace I leave (offer you) with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid

Ps 29:11 The Lord blesses His people with peace

• Shalom - Nothing missing, nothing broken

Jn 16:33 (tpt) And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!

Heb 13:5-6 Live content with what you have, for you always have God’s presence. Hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!”6 So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!”

2. We Give Our Best to Let Him know We’re with Him  

Luke 7:37 (MSG) Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, brought an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner. Jesus answered, “Simon, There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, which of them will love him more?” Simon answered, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.” He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” Then He turned to the woman and said, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

• We give much because we've been forgiven of much
• Some may not understand your worship

LK 17:12 (MSG) Then as He entered a certain village, there were ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”  So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks.  

• I wanna help you, like you helped me
• God I want to give you my best gift

Thank God that the Lord is with Us

1. Thank the Lord that He is with Us Guaranteeing Victory & Success

2 Cor 2:14 (cev) I am grateful that God always makes it possible for Christ to lead us to victory

Joshua 1:8-9 (nlt) Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 9 This is my command to be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.``

Deut 31:6 Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."

Rom 8:31 (nlt) If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

Ps 20:7 Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

Is 41:10,13 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness. 13 For I hold you by your right hand  I, the Lord your God. And I say to you,  ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help 

• When the Lord is with us, He will strengthen and help us 
• Strengthen - To make stout, to make strong, bold, and alert
• Help - To surround, to protect, to give aid to

Ps 124:2-3,8 (nlt) What if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us? 3 They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger 8 Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth

Heb 13:5-6 (nlt) Be happy with what you have. God has said, “I will never leave you or let you be alone.” 6 So we can say for sure, “The Lord is my Helper. I am not afraid of anything man can do to me”

Jud 6:12,14,16 "The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!" 14 Then the Lord turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the enemy. Have I not sent you?" 16 And the Lord said to him, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat them”

2. Thank the Lord that He is with Us Bringing Us His Peace  

Judg 6:23-24 "Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die." 24 So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord, and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace.

• Peace (Shalom), safe, well, happy, welfare, health, prosperity

Ps 85:8 (niv) He promises peace to his people, his faithful servants

Ps 29:11 The Lord blesses His people with peace

Jn 14:1,27 (nlt) Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God 27 Peace I leave (offer you) with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid

• Troubled - To disturb, agitated, stirred up or troubled
• Afraid, to shrink, be fearful, cowardly, and to be timid

Jn 16:33 (tpt) And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!

Col 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful

Matt 1:23 Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us’

Thank God We are the Light of this World 

1 Cor 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord

1. He Overcame All that was in the World and So Can We 

1 John 5:4 For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith 

• World – the system alienated and opposed to God’s system, lying under the power of the wicked one

Js 3:15-16 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. (Satan is the god of this world system)

Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms 

1 Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1. The Lust of the Flesh – The Appetites and Desires of the Sinful Nature 

Gal 5:19-21 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God

1. The Lust of the Eye – The Love of Money 

Eccl 5:10 Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless 

1. The Pride of Life – Power and Fame without God #abomination

Matt 4:8-10 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 "All this I will give you," he said, "If you will bow down and worship me." 10 Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" 

2 Tim 4:10 Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world

• If you don’t go with the world they will hate you because they hate Jesus

Jn 16:33 In me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world 

2. Thank God that Everywhere You Go the Victory Goes with You

Jn 17:15-16,18 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.  16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. #LIGHTOFTHEWORLD

2 Cor 2:14 (CEV) I am grateful that God always makes it possible for Christ to lead us to victory. God also helps us spread the knowledge about Christ everywhere, and this knowledge is like the smell of perfume

• Our lives are an example of the mercy, grace, and victory of the cross

1. Go Forward with Purity Knowing the Lord is Coming Back 

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching

Matt 24:37-42 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.  For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;  and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.  Therefore keep watch, and be on guard because you do not know on what day your Lord will come

2 Pet 3:9-12,14 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.  Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. So dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him

Rom 13:10-14 You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts

2. Go Forward Without Strife Knowing the Lord is Coming Back

Js 3:16 Where envy and strife is confusion and every evil thing is there.
Acts 8:23 I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity

• The temptation of offense is a trap that has bait, the bait of satan 
• Don’t allow unforgiveness back into your spirit and soul, its poison 

2 Cor 7:1 let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. 

• A strong spirit will sustain a man in sickness, a wounded offended spirit will do the opposite 

Prov 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? 

• Offended people are a danger to themselves and to others 

Heb 12:15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled

• Unforgiveness and offense are temptations that God helps us with

Heb 4:15-16 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. 

Lk 11:4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive all who sins against us 
Eph 4:32 Forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you 

• No forgiveness no joy, no joy no strength, no strength no victory
