———————————————————. Have you ever wondered what the subtle unsatisfied restlessness is inside your heart for wanting to make a bigger impact in this world, and in your life, but not knowing exactly how to do that? The Bible says eternity is written in the hearts of men, and that means God’s principles, as another passage indicates are also written in our hearts. What is important to him has been embedded into our spirit. And making disciples is his number one priority and mandate on our lives in this earth. That itch to leave a legacy was put there by God and is satisfied when we live out his mandate to make disciples. Unfortunately, while the term is very common in church circles, it is not very common that people understand how to go about that, and they often feel unqualified or too busy to do it. In today’s episode, I answer the question of who should be making disciples, who should we be discipling, and how do we go about doing that? This episode breaks things down very simply and makes things very doable. You will leave feeling inspired to go and make a change in someone’s life today. Don’t forget to share this episode with a friend and share it on social media (tag me if you do!)! let’s jump in. :-)

  • Ep136- The Powerful Whispers of God: hearing his mighty voice in his tender whispers w/Author Christa Spaeth
    Treat Jen to Coffee www.PATREON.COM/JAVAWITHJEN
    ———————————————————
Have you longed to hear the voice of God? My guest Christa grew up a bit unfamiliar with the concept, and was drawn into a beautiful journey with the Lord, BY the Lord, where she also learned to hear his voice and lean into it. This is what she brings to us in her book, "Powerful Whispers", and that journey is what she shares with us in this episode as well. Lean in and see where you resonate... her down to earth approach and perspective and simple way of experiencing the voice of God is refreshing! I'm sure you'll enjoy her as much as I did... enjoy the episode, and read below to see how to connect with her more!
    ———————————————————Meet Christa Joy
Christa Joy Spaeth is the founder of Christa Joy Ministries. It was in 2022 when Minnesota-based author Christa received a compelling message from God. In a prayer cabin called “Whisper,” He prompted her to write a seven-week devotional.
Since then, Christa’s eyes, heart, and ears were opened to more whispers, so that she may start fulfilling her new purpose of helping the hurting and share the love of Christ.
This blessed wife, mother of two, and businesswoman is passionate about living up to God’s plans for her every day. So much so that in 2022, she stepped down from her decades-long career as a Registered Dietitian at a large food manufacturing company to pursue the promptings of the Lord and encourage others in Christ.
Today, Christa owns and operates Christa Joy Ministries where she publishes her own books, writes daily encouragements and God whispers on her social media accounts. In addition, she does guest blog posts for various social media accounts.

    The Podcast Mastermind: https://jsamuelstyling.samcart.com/products/the-podcast-plan-mastermind

    ----------------------------------------

Have you ever felt the paralysis of needing to make a decision, seeking the Lord about it and he just isn’t saying anything?? That can be sooo frustrating. But believe it or not, Him not micromanaging your steps may mean he is saying something else very clearly with his silence. In this episode we dive into something the Lord recently spoke to me that freed me from the Spirit-led-analysis-paralysis that so many of us can experience. He is not a micromanaging God, it brings Him glory to see you do what you do the way you do it… because he is the father who made you that way! It brings him joooooyyyy. This episode dives into the tension and balance point between the two extremes of not moving until he speaks, and moving without giving him the opportunity to speak… wisdom is found in the middle. Let’s jump in!

  • Ep133: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality w/Jenilee Samuel
The Podcast Plan Mastermind- head to javawithjenpodcast.com to check it out!
    ----------------------------------------------------
Did you know, it's impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature at the same time. At least that's the premise of the book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero. In today's episode you get to join me for a live recording where I was teaching an introductory class to a small group at church that I would then proceed to take through the workbook, Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. Now, much of the content taught in this episode is mine, however I do reference the book quite a few times. This is a topic I'm very passionate about and believe is sadly very under-taught and even misunderstood in many Christian circles, so I do my best to bring some light to this very important issue. We all are made in God's image, and that's not just our spirits that are...our souls are too! Our mind, will and emotions, are an essential part of the triune God head built into us, and we need to treat them with special honor and care as we grow in becoming like Jesus. I think you'll love this episode. Remember to share it with a friend (or three!) and post it to social media! Tag me so I can see it and give you a big digital hug! I love you, you're the best... let's jump in!

  • Ep132- Exploring God Conversations from a former-Cessationist to a PhD in Hearing God's Voice, with Tania Harris
    Treat Jen to Coffee www.PATREON.COM/JAVAWITHJEN
    ———————————————————
Are miracles, powerful acts of the Holy Spirit and hearing God's voice really just for the Bible days? (This belief is called Cessationism). Or what about women who want to be preachers? My guest, Tania Harris PhD., and I tackle these questions in today's episode. She shares a personal look at her journey from cessationist beliefs and being taught that women couldn't preach, to getting a degree on hearing God's voice and went on to plant churches, write books and start a ministry. Clearly there was a lot that transpired between points A & B, and she gets into that journey with us, and includes many of the scriptures that tripped her up and questions she had that you perhaps have asked too. You'll enjoy this real-life look at some of the deeper theological questions many of us carry or have been raised with.
    --------------------------------

    ———————————————————
Have you ever felt like life just took a crazy turn that you never consented to, interrupting your life in ways you never asked for? Yeah... sometimes life throws a curveball. But, despite how cool or how traumatizing those turns may turn out, if we hold close to the Lord in the process, asking the hard messy questions that we have shoved down into our "deal with it later" spaces, the Lord can take what you'd never choose to lead you into the faith you'd always wanted. Listen to today's episode to encourage your heart if you find yourself in that space of unexpected, or even unwelcomed change. God is REALLY good at using ALL things for our good... ———————————————————
This episode, recorded with Kala Yoder for the "Confidence in Christ" Podcast, is a glimpse into Jen's other-world... her journey into the Fashion industry as she held hands with the Lord and followed his unexpected instructions for her life.  Many Christians feel like being concerned with fashion and style is to be carnal, fleshly, materialistic or vain.  So, when the Lord interrupted her path to full time Ministry in order to shift her life steps into the fashion industry and business world, it was a head scratcher for some. As Jen searched the Word to discover how God feels about clothing, style, and dress, she had a major epiphany that he cares VERY much about it.  It caused her to shed some religious beliefs and burdens she had grown up with that really did not reflect God's heart.
You'll discover that Jen also has a course called "Fashion|Sense: Two hours to a more stylish you!" Where she breaks down the most vital information she has learned in styling over 9,000 people to help them have a fashion transformation that enables them to love and honor the body God gave them, feel like themselves in their own clothes, and look amazing without the stress and overwhelm.  You can find that Course here: https://jsamuelstyling.samcart.com/products/order-workshop

Have you ever felt like or even overheard people say (or maybe even been told) that getting counseling means you're not trusting God to handle your problems?  Whether you've been taught this concept or simply "caught" this concept from the environment around you, then you'll want to listen to today's episode.  We are built in God's image, body, soul, and spirit, and we have all accepted the importance of Pastors to help us oversee our Spirits, we have doctors to help us oversee our health... but somehow it's considered taboo to have a counselor to help oversee our soul's health.  Well, if you've ever wondered about this topic, this episode is for you.  Let's jump in!
