Jay Bonnifield is a firefighter with the Everett Fire Department in Washington, assigned to the tailboard of Engine 1 serving old downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods. He has been a firefighter for 13 years, starting in suburban communities to the north of Everett prior to getting hired with EFD. Jay teaches engine company operations for Brothers in Battle, the Sno ho mish County Fire Training Academy, West Coast Fire Training, and works with Derek Roberts/Dennis LeGear on the educated engine project. His class "Anatomy Of A Push" is being presented at FDIC for 2022. Jay is a husband to an incredible wife and a father of 4 awesome kids.
