Watched a great doc on the SEC Network about the Cuban Comet, Carlos Alvarez who was an All-American WR for the Florida Gators as a sophomore and still holds the program record for receiving yards.  He left Castro's Cuba at age 10 and was an inspiration for Cuban Americans.  
After Daniel Jones stinker last night and the travails of Sam Darnold who is still dealing with shoulder issues are these two QB's the future for their respective franchises?  Survey says no right now.
Giancarlo Stanton smart not to opt out of your contract.  With the current financial situation he wasn't going to see more money than the $218M still left on the deal.  
Why the Jets franchise is an embarrassment.  WR Denzel Mims first Jet to lead the team in receiving yards in his first two career games.  He had 42 yards each vs Buffalo and KC.  That's 84 total yards in 2 games.  That stat is relevant for a franchise that hasn't won a SB since the year of my birth, 1969.

Florida Sports Man stumped me on a college football trivia question.  Only QB to have 10K passing and 4K rushing in college football history.  
Florida Sports Man still ticked about Blake Snell being yanked in Game 6 series loss by Kevin Cash.  
Texas had the 2022 #1 recruit QB Quinn Ewers decommit.  Looks like he might be headed to THE Ohio State.  Tom Herman has to run the table to keep his job.  But who is out there to replace him?  Bill O'Brien maybe?  I heard Urban Meyer.  Texas has some deep pockets.

Congrats to Dodgers for winning first title since 1988 and Clayton Kershaw for winning his first ring.  But MLB and the Dodgers didn't handle Justin Turner and his positive test well at all.  Seeing Turner out there celebrating was just horrifying.  He can be asymptomatic but what about his manager Dave Roberts who is a cancer survivor?  Can't be selfish during this pandemic.
1980 Paul Silas was hired for first time as an NBA coach.  FORTY years later his son Stephen Silas is about to become the Rockets head coach.   
Showtime premiering a documentary on Hector "Macho" Camacho December 4th.  I can't wait to watch it.

Chiefs only favored by twenty points on Sunday over the Jets.   I don't see the Jets covering the spread.
NBA season could start 72 days after the final game of the 2019-20 season.  Are we shocked?  It's about the sponsors and the TV money.
So Nick Foles told the ESPN production crew that he can't execute the play calls coming in from head coach because he doesn't have enough time after the snap.  Amazing the Bears are 5-2 and not good that your starting QB and head coach are on the same page.

The Dodgers looked like my Little League team last night.  Rays now tied 2-2.  Anything is possible.
Jets played better but lost on 6 Buffalo FG's and going into their final series had NINE yards of total offense.  Lost 18-10 after being up 10-0 in the first half.
Cowboys are beyond crap.  25-3 loss to WFT.  Andy Dalton took a vicious hit that knocked him out of the game.  
Love Halloween and love Stefon DIggs cleats even more.  A homage to Jason Vorhees.  
Props to Michigan Football on blowing out Minnesota last night.  Joe Milton who knew?  Rutgers first BIg Ten win since 2017 at Michigan State.

Florida Sports Man joins the podcast today.  Love his upset this week of Pitt over ND.  
He says this is the year of Tampa Bay.  Lightning, Rays in 7 and the Bucs making the Superbowl this year.  Let's see if it all comes to fruition.
His LOCK OF THE WEEK is TB beating LV at Allegiant Stadium.  
Stan Van Gundy is a neighbor of his in Florida.  Upset he won't hear him on TNT this upcoming season.  We shall see what he does this upcoming season as head coach of the Pelicans.

Justin Gaethje with money he makes fighting Khabib at UFC 254 will allow his mom to retire.  Freaking awesome.
TNF must see TV Giants @ Eagles.  Eagles have won seven straight in the series but dealing with a ton of injuries.  Down to third and 4th string on the OL.  Giants 17-14.
Penn State Basketball Coach Pat Chambers resigned.  Told a former player he'd help loosen the pressure he was dealing with and the noose around his neck.  You're at a school with zero tolerance.  Never ceases to amaze me how some people just don't get it.  Chambers had been there since 2011.  Had built up the program and now he's done.

I feel bad for Fitz.  He was having a very good year.  But the Dolphins will have this season to evaluate Tua and if it doesn't work out they will have the Texans #1 pick which could be a very high pick and go after Trevor Lawrence.
Clayton Kershaw pitched well in Game 1 and Mookie Betts is the missing piece that could have the Dodgers winning their first World Series title since 1988.
Stan Van Gundy is getting the keys to Zion Williamson and the Pelicans.  Am I missing something?  Can we stop recycling coaches?  This is his fourth franchise.  And he had losing seasons in three of his four years with the Pistons at his last stop.

Florida Sports Man in the house and he picked the Rays-Dodgers World Series and he has the Rays winning in 7 games.
Tua starting for the Dolphins who were 3-3 with Fitzmagic.  Why switch now?  Dolphins looking to the future.
There are two teams in College Football.  Clemson and Alabama.  The rest are playing for the final two spots in the College Football Playoff.

23 years since UNC had been #5 in college football and they are losing 24-0 in first half and eventually 31-7 to a terrible FSU team at the half.  End up losing 31-28 and are now #14 in the country.  They just seemed happy to be there.  The goal is to STAY relevant and not be known as only a basketball school.  Mack Brown can you get them back there?  I'm not sure.
Now there is only one winless team in the NFL.  The Jets.  Congrats to the Giants for getting their first win of the season. 
Justin Jefferson you score a garbage TD for the 1-5 Vikes down 40-23 and start celebrating.  Give the ref the ball and get back to the sideline.  
Bears are 5-1.  Call them a terrible 5-1 but at the end of the day you are judged by wins and losses.  Browns are 4-2 and their fans are livid after getting blown out by the Steelers 38-7.  Baker keep making those Progressive ads.
