Eddie Van Halen RIP.  Died today at 65 of throat cancer.  "1984" was one of my favorite when it came out and to this day.  Loved Van Halen's videos too.  He was a unique talent.  RIP.
Yanks got it done in Game One over TB last night and Giancarlo Stanton hit a grand slam to clinch the win.  Now on to Game 2.  
I love Aaron Rodgers saying on Pat McAfee's podcast that his supposed down years are career years for most QB's.  Only 4 touchdown passes vs the Falcons last night on MNF.
Bill O'Brien it was time to go with the Texans.  Can't get rid of Hopkins, Clowney and waste the prime years of JJ Watt and Deshaun Watson.  Romeo Crennel oldest NFL coach ever at 73 will keep the seat warm for hopefully Eric Bieniemy.

Jimmy Butler only cares about wins and losses.  Down 2-1.  Can they knot it at 2-2 on Tuesday.  I think not.
Matt Patricia and his lions have 6 consecutive losses when leading by 10+ points.  He came in saying he had a lot of things to fix.  10-25-1 record so far.  I'd say you have a long way to go.
Yanks-Rays tonight.  Cole vs Snell.  Can't wait.

The Big12 is done.  History.  Texas shows that Tom Herman shouldn't be their head coach much longer and Lincoln Riley and the Sooners are 0-2 in the Big12 for first time since 1998.  Oklahoma State and Baylor are the only undefeated teams in Big12 which means no one is making the college football playoff.  But big props for Iowa State for first home win vs Oklahoma since 1960 and TCU 7-2 vs Texas since TCU joined the Big12.  
Cowboys are showing why the NFC least is really terrible.  Gave up 31 points in the first half at home to the Browns are are losing 41-14 as I write this. OBJ two TD catches.  Welcome back.  
Cam Newton tests positive for Covid-19 but the game will go on Monday with Brian Hoyer vs Pat Mahomes.  Yeah the Pats got a shot.

Jets 0-4 for second straight year.  37 points to a third straight QB in his first NFL start.  Deplorable. 
NBA and WNBA finals tonight.  Heat are in trouble without Dragic and Bam. AD and Lebron are looking unstoppable. Get those brooms ready.  
College Football back tomorrow and we both like Iowa State upsetting Oklahoma at home.  Lincoln Riley could be coaching in Dallas this year instead of Norman.

Congrats to Corin Adams for becoming only the fifth women to be named an assistant on a Men's college basketball team.  She will be joining my buddy's alma mater Loyola University Maryland.  Go Greyhounds!
Yankees swept the Indians in the longest postseason game ever.  Almost 5 hours and I was up at 1am watching it.  Gary Sanchez almost gave me a heart attack with his passed ball on what would have been the game ending strikeout.  What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger, right?
Broncos over the Jets tonight 9-6.  Sorry Harris but I see the Jets starting the season 0-4 for the second year in a row.

Lebron 50TH Finals game tonight.  Has played in the NBA Finals in 58.5% of his  NBA career and has appeared in over 13% of ALL the NBA Finals.  From players in my lifetime I have him behind MJ.  And that's it.
Yanks hit a lot of HR's in their 12-3 Game 1 win over the Indians.  Now Tanaka has to close it out. 
Twins 18 straight postseason losses.  Props to to the Astros for sweeping.

So first two road teams in the MLB playoffs have won.  The Astros and White Sox.  I see a lot of higher seed teams going home this week.
NFL has first Covid-19 'outbreak" with the Titans.  We shall see what it does to this weekend's games.  
Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are showing the rest of the NFL whose King of the Mountain for the next decade possibly.  He is mesmerizing to watch.

Who has the longest winning streak in college football?  Tennessee at 7.  LSU has their 16 game winning streak at home snapped by K.J. Costello and Mike Leach's Mississippi State 44-34.  Costello throws for SEC record 623 yards.  
Oklahoma loses Big 12 opener at HOME to Kansas State 38-35. Kansas State lost to Arkansas State at home earlier this year.
Texas needs an onside kick, TD and 2 point conversion to send it in to OT and win 63-56 over Texas Tech.  Yeah the CFB is going to be quite interesting this year.
I have the Giants in an upset today 24-21 over the depleted Niners.  Indy over Jets 31-3.  Jets have as many healthy WR's as QB's on the roster with 4.  Are you going to help Sam Darnold succeed?

Today's show had guest "Florida Sports Man" and he had a fantastic idea for where the Jets and Giants should be playing all their games.
His World Series pick which I wasn't crazy about but if you're a Rays fan you should be ecstatic.  
Florida Sports Man is a UF graduate and feels that the winner of the World's Greatest Cocktail party between Georgia and Florida will be playing for the SEC championship.  LSU is in for a down year per Florida Sports Man.  I disagree on that front too.
