Today on The Judging Meghan Podcast, I interview Author, Jenny Debolt. We talk her story and how she has dealt with numerous unbearable losses.
Jenny tells us the story of the loss of her niece sue to a drowning accident. The accident forever changed Jenny and her sister. We talk about her journey through grief, as well as supporting her sister through her grief, which left her dealing with an alcohol addiction and depression, which led to her sister’s suicide.
Jenny is on a mission to break the stigma around suicide and how important it is to share stories like hers to help others get help.
If you are someone you know is thinking about suicide, contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline by dialing 988. When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
