We are towards the end of December and Christmas is around the corner. Every December the word "peace" is spoken of mostly because of the verse in the Bible that reads: "... a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."  Yet this is the time when there is no peace more than any time of the whole year.

This season brings out the worst emotions, awful memories and feelings of intense pain. Actually it is all year long that everyone is seeking for "peace IN earth," not realizing the "peace on earth" is from the Prince of Peace IN heaven.

Jesus gave us a parting gift before He died. He said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27. So technically there is no peace on earth, but peace in us that are in the earth until He returns again. Then there will be perfect peace on earth during the Millennial Kingdom, until then He did promise us peace and has given it to us through His life.

There is the peace with God, the peace in God, and the peace of God. Jesus is the God of Peace, Prince of Peace, King of Peace, that gives supernatural peace. It might seem impossible for you to have peace. This is true. It cannot come from you, or this earth. Your peace IS in and with Jesus Christ. Jesus IS your peace. There are many reasons people do not have peace and one of the greatest reasons is unforgiveness.

Take the time to forgive, get rid of the darkness of it that has blocked the light of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will give you the power to forgive, then when you do, it will be though His life in you. Then the light will break forth upon you and in you. The dark clouds above you will grow thin, and a new day of freedom will happen.   He would not have told us to forgive if it were impossible. And what is impossible for you is not impossible with God. So it is not impossible to forgive.  What you cannot do He will do for you for His namesake.

“May God give you peace with yourselves; may he give you good will towards all your friends, your enemies, and your neighbors; and may he give you grace to give glory to God in the highest.” ~ Charles Spurgeon

There is nothing anyone can do to stop it. We do not take it into account while we are young, full of energy and life. Then when we are born again, there is a double life. That is if you were born again in your youth. The new creation born again life coupled with the youthful outward life.

If you were born again as an older person, the marvelous graces of love and beauty will be bestowed upon you too.

There is so much studying, thrill and Spiritual action. This is the typical beginning of the newly born again life. However, as time goes on we begin to lose outward power. We cannot do the things we so easily did before. Our minds are not as sharp as they once were. Veteran believers begin to feel as if they are being spiritually outsourced by the new generation. They dream of what life used to be when they were young in the faith and served the Lord with vigor.

They sit down at the end of their race. It feels like a great loss and sadness enters in. But the truth of the matter is the polar opposite. When we grow older in Christ, our "outward man that perishes," is showing us it is getting ready for heaven. And "the inward man has been being renewed day by day" by wholly following the Lord throughout the entire life. The soul which is eternal is now overtaking the natural man (the body).

It is the full blossoming of the "lilies of the valley" releasing our sweetest aroma upwards to the Lord. We enter a new path and start growing heavenward, where there is such beauty and freedom in service of the unfading life.

Last week I was having downward day of frustration and stress. I gave in to outward grumbling and complaining. Within minutes I felt the Holy Spirit convicting me stronger than I have felt in a very long time. I had grieved the Holy Spirit. Yet with His correction came much mercy and revelation I did not expect.

As soon as I repented I heard the words, "Every wise woman buildeth her house, but the foolish woman plucketh it down with her hands."  Proverbs 14:1. Immediately another verse came rushing in, "In all thy ways acknowledge Him...." Proverbs 3:6.

    The teaching began.

Over the next three days I was in the classroom of the Holy Spirit. Because my heart was torn open I was able to receive deeper understanding and light. The Lord was teaching me about how to build up my house in loving people, praying for them instead of complaining. I saw my own need for forgiveness and mercy in my failure. I felt so bad.

We are human, and we are going to feel stress, frustration, anger and many more hot emotions. And yes we are going to have moments of letting it out. But if we do not know when to stop saying negative things, then we are going to pull our houses down.

Then the invading forces of the enemy will come in and Satan will become master of our spiritual houses (ourselves), and of our homes. I understand that the reverse of that is speaking to the Lord, good over those we love. This is the building up of strong fortress-like homes where the enemy cannot come in. Where the light of Christ will remain.

“They say stars have greatest influences when they are in conjunction with the sun; then sure the graces of a saint should never work more powerfully than in prayer, for then he is in the nearest conjunction and communion with God." ― William Gurnall, The Christian in Complete Armour

Over the past few days I felt the Lord telling me to walk softly before Him. I felt everything come to a stop. Meaning, my ongoing daily studies, reading, planning, researching, all of it stopped. Spiritually speaking, I felt the Lord close the doors. It was not a punitive thing, it was a loving thing. A necessary thing.  I heard His voice in my very heart, the center of my life, say, "I want you to walk softly before Me." I felt a warm peace enter into my soul and I rested well.

There are different times people will walk softly before the Lord for different reasons.  Some go through some heavy correction from the Lord. His correction is always with mercy and done in purest love. Which makes the person deeply sorry, broken and they become quiet in their souls. They walk before the Lord softly for the rest of their lives. Not out of condemnation but in a forgiven way that causes a peaceful humbleness. A loving, holy silence within remains for the rest of their lives.

Others who have had long illnesses that suffer and are healed, walk softly all the days of their lives. They remember every day and night of heavy pain. They understand in a sense that their healing is like a resurrection. They walk in a newness of increasing better health. The sun shines differently and brighter upon them, "and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in the land."

There are those that are continual hard driving workers for the Lord. He steps in and shuts the whole thing down from time to time. When that happens that servant realizes that walking softly before the Lord by His command, is a blessing. They realize WHO the source of their life is and inspiration.

Then their is the veteran saints who, due to age are now walking softly towards heaven, their final destination. The "waters of Shiloah flow softly" to attend their way. When you are walking softly before the Lord, He walks with you, and there is a quiet confidence in His life and you die to your own.  Then, "there shall be peace and quietness in your days."

I was very happy that Sister Jaz had invited me onto her new podcast program called "Open Door" to discuss the sources of dreams and visions. So many believers have a lot of questions, and rightly so.

There are three sources of dreams. God, our selves and the devil. There needs to be teaching on this subject so desperately. If people cannot discern the source, then there will be a lot of wasted time in their walk, including disaster. There must be a spiritually intelligent reception or rejection of them.

Right now, there are many people having dreams that have never had them before and do not know what to make of them. Others are getting dreams of prophetic events on the horizon.

Some are having dreams that are personal and have only to do between them and the Lord, and not meant to be shared. Then there are dreams the devil gives that are direct attacks on believers to weaken them and keep them in fetal positions of fear. Paralyzed and never able to go forward in joy and the victorious power of the saints of Jesus Christ.

Sister Jaz and I discuss these things in depth and many other insights that we both know will be a great help to everyone, and a seriously needed education to all believers, and those who are not yet saved. They also receive dreams too.

"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams." Acts 2:17

When we go through suffering and trials as believers we refer to it as being in a "night season." A time of "darkness where there is no light." In the physical realm we experience heartache, and in the spiritual realm we suffer in our spirit. It is double pain and agony.

This morning I read in Exodus 12:41-42, "And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt. It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations."

What struck me are the words, "a night to much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out." I began to see all the places in the Bible that the most powerful things happened during the night, and wonderous things in the morning. I have lived long enough to have gone through the very dark nights that went on for years. But a morning came, and slowly a new day began to take shape. I walked out of prison houses of sorrows I thought would never end. I saw the spiritual night turn into the brilliant shining morning, a new day.

“And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.” 2 Samuel 23:4.

Keep it in mind and never forget that Jesus never leaves people in the pits of darkness, in prisons of suffering, who call out His name. He WILL deliver them. He has staked His own name on His word because He is the word. Surely He will do as He says. He is the Lord and Savior.

"If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee." Psalm 139:12. ~ King David

When I was searching my heart in prayer for a few days for a message, I kept coming up empty. Today, I saw the words, "Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:31.

I had been in the word this morning for quite some time before I read these words, "Ye are of more value," which shone brightly. I could not take my eyes off of that word that narrowed down, "value." I then heard the voice of the Lord deep within me say, "There are so many people who are alive that feel they have no value at all." They are lonely, hopeless, broken and depressed. Many of them do not want to live anymore."

Those little words were full of the love of God, more powerful than I can possibly write to you. In fact when I heard Him speak, I could also feel so greatly His the depth of His concern. Like there was nothing else He was concerned at all about but for me to tell people that Jesus sees them, and hears them "crying to Him out of the depths."

Even if they are not crying to Him, but crying out of the depths, He hears them and wants to change their lives.  Is that you? Are you crying out of the depths? You may have even said that God has forgotten you, that He loves others more than you.   Today, He wants you to know that YOU are of great value to Him. Jesus loves YOU with an everlasting love. A fathomless love and He means to turn your life around even now. He WILL do it. His love never fails.

Prayer is a vast economy. There are so many kinds of prayers, giving of thanks, intercessions, warfare and more. Prayer is boundless and eternal. There are so many who struggle trying to pray. There are others who are natural at it.

There there are others who rely on others only to pray for them feeling they are not qualified. Many feel their prayers sound empty, or feel they go no higher than the ceiling. Many are insecure about themselves in prayer.

There are those who intercede for others. It is different than the prayers we all pray on a a daily basis. Intercession begins with the very heart of God. He then by His Holy Spirit moves deeply within the hearts of those He chooses. There are many who call themselves intercessors who go about always heavy, with faces downcast. They tell others they are heavily burdened down with interceding for so many people. Those many things were never given to them by God, they took those things upon themselves.

There are some who constantly scream and yell in prayer. Yet I contend that is not the way, or how the Holy Spirit does things with the saints. Though there are times by His command we raise our voices against the enemy when sanctioned. Bottom line, true intercession by the Holy Spirit has a deep quiet, persistence.   He draws the person away into "peaceful and quiet habitations."

There they can hear the deep voice of God moving within them. The power of intercession begins with being quiet and staying quiet, and always private.   Do not carry any longer the burdens God never gave to you. They do not belong to you, they belong to Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest. Shake off the fetters and go to Him, to that shining prayer mountain. Let your face shine and be lifted up. Pray only for what and who He gives you. He never overloads any of His saints.

"Shut the world out, withdraw from all worldly thoughts and occupations, and shut yourself in alone with God, to pray to Him in secret. Let this be your chief object in prayer, to realize the presence of your heavenly Father." ~ Andrew Murray - With Christ In The School of Prayer

Yesterday I was reading in Exodus when Moses had received the 10 commandments. After receiving them, there was "thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking." When the people saw it they stood afar off and told Moses they did not want to hear the voice of God anymore. Moses gave a few words to them then,  "Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was."

That really grabbed my heart. I saw a man standing alone, yet he still went into the thick darkness where God was. And God spoke to Him there. What a picture.

How many today are standing afar off not wanting to hear the voice of the Lord, but only want someone else to tell them what God said. They only want those that draw near unto the thick darkness where God is, to tell them second hand what He said. Many want to walk in the ways of God, and know His thoughts. They want the higher ways and thoughts of God, but will not go alone to Him. They never hear Him.

Have courage to stand alone like Moses. Go to the Lord in His word, and do whatever He says in it. Take every word and walk by it, listen to His voice in the Bible speaking to you. Pray to Him always, until His thoughts become your thoughts, and His ways become your ways.

The people stood afar off from the mountain for the rest of their lives, but Moses went on to hear His voice until the very day he died. It all has to do with your heart of love towards Jesus Christ. You can stand afar off from Him, or draw near to Him where you can hear His voice.

For a long time now I have had one thing within my heart that I have struggled with not having God's assurance of. I would say that it has been decades I have had this in my heart. I have carried it about like a great weight. I never understood why my prayers were not being answered. But I kept on praying and hoping.

About a couple of months ago in prayer I said to the Lord, "I am no longer asking you to do it, I know your word says you will do it and I believe you. Now all I ask you is to give me directly, personally, a solid heart assurance so I can go on with my life."

Two mornings ago after the same prayer, I came across this verse in Acts 17:30. "Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."

It was like a window from above flooded light upon me and I received sight by the Spirit of revelation. I understood perfectly that it was purely by the resurrected life of Jesus Christ that stands as my assurance. And that means not for that one thing, but for all that is in my life now, and that which is to come. I had a peace enter in and now I can go on.

I realized that I had been living within walls I had built for myself that had no doors. There was no beauty only bareness there. Yet throughout all these years in "a place where the King's prisoners are bound," a light sprung in.

The Bible is the sum of all Truth. I read the words "Lord to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life." Those words opened a window that no blast of hell can ever shut. And I flew like a bird through that open window. My soul will go on knowing the freedom of the windows of heaven now. When I saw it I was free, because in the spiritual world to see out is to be out. We are where our thoughts are, just as we are where our love is. Then the Shepherd gives songs in the night.

"For where your treasure is so there will your heart be also."  “Bare heights of loneliness...a wilderness whose burning winds sweep over glowing sands, what are they to HIM? Even there He can refresh us, even there He can renew us.” ― Amy Carmichael
