I had the pleasure of being a guest on A Minute To Midnite to discuss the world wide drought happening. About four months ago I started to see articles about two of our largest reservoirs at historically low levels. I knew we were in a long term drought but really had no idea how bad it was. More articles started to appear literally daily that were alarming.
Our water supplies were evaporating at alarming speed. I began to see that our entire nation was under a severe drought, even in places no one would ever expect. Then I saw articles from NASA led scientists that were seeing all the fresh water sources such as rivers, lakes and streams drying up at the same rapid speed all over the world. They have gone on record saying "the have no answers, no explanations."
Then I began to see that the greatest rivers of the world were nearly gone in Europe. The most alarming reports were the two most ancient rivers mentioned in end times prophecy. The Nile River and the River Euphrates, as well as the Tigress River, all nearly completely dried up. Scriptures prove that this will only happen right before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We are now in that time. Thank you for listening!

Notice throughout the last few years there is always some kind of build up regarding seemingly prophetic events? Then as sure as they mounted up, all of a sudden it was like nothing was ever happening. Everything went into a kind of lull. This feels like an exercise. Well, lately I have noticed this same kind of lull again.
For the last several months we have been seeing that same kind of intensifying build up. Dire reports of every kind backed up with fact. All of it being real. Yet there is this "everything-seems-just-fine" air. But the truth is that nothing is "fine." It is strange, weird and odd.
In Bible reading and meditation this morning I was thinking about this lull. Then from deep within I heard:
"This is no lull like the other times. Everyone has had a long time to prepare materially. This will be a short lull with a singular and critical purpose. There has been given a long time for everyone to prepare materially. But now this lull is the time to turn to the Lord and fortify. To those that will not, they will not be able to stand in what is coming with certainty. This IS the time to prepare spiritually in Christ, in His great power."
This is only a very short lull before this window will close. What is coming swiftly upon this world will be upon everyone with immense spiritual force. It is more than just having a food supply, but the great supply of power by prayer and being saturated in the word of God. This is the final ready mark. This lull is not the time to be lazy.
King Asa did all he could to prepare his entire kingdom, the people and his armies. He also commanded them to seek the Lord for themselves. Then Zerah the Ethiopian came against him with a million man army. Though King Asa prepared for ten years, it was not enough to defeat the great force of Zerah's men and three hundred chariots. That is when King Asa "cried unto the Lord his God" and his entire kingdom was delivered. Because he sought the Lord His God and prepared everyone else to do the same. This is our call. Amen.
"What hinders me from hearing is that I am taken up with other things. It is not that I will not hear God, but I am not devoted in the right place. I am devoted to things, to service, to convictions, and God may say what He likes but I do not hear Him.” ― Oswald Chambers

There was a time in my life I was feeling really low. Life was so very hard for me back then. I would always turn to the scriptures for comfort and relief. One day I came across a scripture I had read over and over for years. But at this one moment in time, it was as if it were written in blazing light just for me. Proverbs 4:18, "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."
I knew in that moment that word was given to me from Jesus. I realized that He was telling me I was on a sure path, though rough, but having promise of ever-increasing light. I saw that it has an end that has no ending. I saw it in three parts. Since then that word has reminded me about this "path of life," that as long as I am journeying on it, will be with growth throughout the my days. But in that growth, He would be perfecting His love in me His graces of love, of mercy, of joy, forgiveness, patience, meekness, goodness and more.
As a young woman I understood that that light could only be in reference to the word of God lived out in me. The going to the word and doing what He told me to do in it. I saw another verse, "Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart." Psalm 97:11. And, "With thee is the fountain of life, in thy light shall we see light." Psalm 36:9.
With the Lord is only increase, and the "brighter and brighter." I saw that we all "increase with the increase of God." Everything about God enlarges, grows, expands, reaches and stretches eternally. "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end." It says in Isaiah 55:11: "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
I saw that His word has been spoken, and it will accomplish His good pleasure, and prosper in the things He has sent it. In Psalm 147:15 it reads,"He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly."
You see His word must always be your light. The path you are on must be understood that it is a shining one, a holy one, a safe one. Make it your determination and aim to keep on it by faithfully abiding daily in His written word of Light. Christ is your Light. Trust Him to see you all the way home to heaven. His word will lighten your path making sure you get there in great victory. Where you will see all the saints and Christ "face to face," and go on into everlasting joy with crowns on your head while you rejoice with great rejoicing and unspeakable glory.
"The life of faith is not a life of mounting up with wings, but a life of walking and not fainting.” Oswald Chambers ― Oswald Chambers

There is always a beautiful response to the new birth life. Those who have been truly brought in to the "household of faith" always desire to work for the Lord. They are now made alive in the Spirit, and they are always looking for ways to serve the Lord. From birth to the end of life, those believers are always on-call.
Now, let me submit that all of us are called to work on His behalf according to John 15:16. I can say with certainty that we are always full of joy and happiness in serving others in Jesus name. We never tire of it. In fact we want to do more and more. It's so wonderful. I never feel more alive than when I have done something that I know He has asked me to do. There is nothing like it because it is HIS life in me doing it. Remember God puts His workers where He puts His Son.
When a person has a call on their life they know it. They can feel the grip of God upon them like Paul the Apostle. The pattern for God's workers are that we are entrusted with a mission no different than Moses and Paul. We have to be in God's hand and be ready for Him to bend us and break us if He has to, in order to be His co-worker.
Paul said he would rather die than not preach the Gospel. The person called feels the same way. They cannot be otherwise persuaded. It is a real calling, and it is for the rest of their lives. It is not always to preach either. Whatever Jesus is calling you to do is your work commission. Do you feel a calling on your life? Are you gripped from within that you must work for the Lord? Then it is evident that you most likely have a distinct call on your life to serve the "Great Shepherd of the sheep."
He has something certain He wants only you to do. Stay in prayer, wait for Him, and He will bring it to pass in you. The work that will be given to you will concern other lives who will become "your work in the Lord and your seal and apostleship in the Lord."
"All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom." ~King David - (Psalm 145:10-12).

A few days ago as I was thinking about what to share or teach, a partial verse came into my mind, "Preach the word." (2 Timothy 4:2). There is more to that verse, but only the three words stood out. The following day, another verse came to my mind, "Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them." (Hebrews 13:3). There is also more to that verse too, but it was only these few that stood out.
I was struck by the memory of all the times I was able to pray for those in all kinds of pain or loss. But there were some whose pain, loss and suffering I could not touch. It felt as if a bridge was broken down before me and I could not pass over. I then thought of that verse in Luke 16:26, "And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence."
That is exactly how it feels. And I realized that our call to preach the gospel is highly contingent on our sufferings. Without which we cannot enter into their bond of sufferings as bound with them. Then is our preaching in vain. We are only then talking heads.
"A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed." Song of Solomon 4:12.
There is great power in prayer for those you can touch who are now in the same pain you were in. Only you can touch them unlike any other because you see their pain and loss, and remember. Then when you pray or preach the gospel, it will come flooding out of you like rivers of eternal life. It says in Isaiah 42:3 it reads, "A bruised reed shall He not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth."
Amy Carmichael said, "The poorest shepherd boy on our South Indian hills in careful to choose, for the making of his flute, a reed that is straight and fine and quite unbruised. But our heavenly Shepherd often takes the broken and the bruised, and of such He makes His flutes."

When ever the word "sanctification" is used it typically comes across as an antiquated dusty old religious word suitable for the Puritans. People tend to feel that it is severe, and meant for only those who are in high, unattainable religious heights. Especially in these days where millions of believers do not consider that word simply means to "be separated unto God." What could be more beautiful?
The work of Justification happens only once at the moment of a person who believes and receives Jesus Christ as their Savior. The "Just and the Justifier of many."
Then they are indwelt immediately by the Holy Spirit who then works for the rest of their lives to sanctify them. He works to mature believers, to grow them up and make them fruitful unto our Father in heaven. Purging and "purifying their hearts by faith" through the whole landscape of their lives for His eternal glory and theirs.
But there are conditions expected too. A person who is truly alive in Christ will desire to work with the Holy Spirit. They will "not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." The purpose of sanctification is that the Holy Spirit is making you like the Son of God. A true child of the House. He wants to get them to go from glory to glory, "with ever increasing glory."
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18.
The more truth you believe, the more sanctified you will be. The operation of truth upon the mind is to separate a man from the world unto the service of God. Just in proportion as truth is given up, worldliness and frivolity are sure to prevail. ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

For many decades there has been a very deep longing I have had. This deep longing has brought me much sorrow. I get a little bit better year after year, but still, that sorrow wells up within me. It seems that when it does, it is as painful as ever and tears flow.
This morning I was reading about Mary when she Simeon spoke to her about her 8 day old Son Jesus: "...Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed."
I thought about that "sword" that had to do with her Son. She did not get good news, but rather sorrowful news. Several months before she had called herself "Blessed among women." And, "behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed." I thought about her entire life, and then the light sprung in from above.
I began to see that her life in a sense was the very picture of the born again life. She gave birth to her Son, and by Him we have the new birth. We confess we are "Blessed among people." However, as time marches on, the fears, doubts and dreads come upon us. We even doubt our salvation at times, as I am sure she had doubts about His mission. That sword was piercing her heart from that very day Simeon told her a "sword would pierce her own soul."
Mary's sorrow is compared vividly to a sword passing through her soul. Yet the soul is not the heart which is put in antithesis to the spirit. The "hearts of many" were agitated with so many thoughts, but the soul of Mary only experienced the sword. Then came the cross. We know she stood by it the whole while.
And after the cross and the Resurrection, silence. We know she died saved and in joy. I knew that the Lord spoke to me when I thought how she stood there. I saw those words in my spirit, "Stand by the Cross." Peace washed over me. Stand by the Cross no matter what longings have bypassed you. What Mary could not have here on earth, she has now in heaven. Stand by Christ. Stand by the Cross!

This morning I was thinking about the thief on the cross. A man who hung right next to the One who came to save. I would assume that man had no one, no family, no friend. He hung there alone and dying. Right before his death, his eyes were opened by the Holy Spirit to see that the man dying next to him was his Messiah.
"He said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour." Luke 23:42-43.
I feel so strongly in today's message that the Lord wants me to over emphasize that He is with us, He is with you. I cannot begin to put it into words, but it is what He wants you to know today. I felt the power of this message increase as I was preparing. I have a firm conviction of it, and know I have His heart on this. He knows many of you are worn out, and are losing ground on believing Jesus is with you. For this is very much a time of "darkness over all the earth."
Jesus told the thief, "Today...." And we saw that day Jesus was with him in that worst possible circumstance. He was with that man going through the same death, and today, both are with each other in eternal glory, the endless "Perfect Day." Do not fear what is coming around the corner, or what is might happen tomorrow. No matter what you are facing or fearing, Jesus is with you today. He will be with you tomorrow and all the days of your life.
He is with you and He wants you to rest in His love knowing this is an irrefutable, comforting truth. Nothing and nobody can ever separate you from Him and His love for you. No power of hell, no scheme of man. Never. I believe that is something very strongly in His heart that He wants you to know for sure today. You can rely on His everlasting words, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:20. Rest in His love today and evermore. Let His peace roll over you....

To many believers the subject of the Judgment Seat of Jesus Christ has a cloud over it. There are passages in the Bible where Paul the apostle describes "the day and fire." A day where each believer who will appear alone before the Lord for Him to go over their lives. "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10.
Paul speaks in another place of how that will look like in 2 Corinthians 3:10-17. He focuses on two things. The Day and Fire: ‘The day shall declare it,’ that is the day on the believer dies, and that is ‘the day,’ that ‘shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test every man’s work.’ Many feel that they will be ashamed on that day. That they will not be able to face the Lord because of being ashamed of not doing more. But that is not what the Bema Seat is for. And what ever Jesus winds up burning up there in heaven, will cause you to rejoice and be glad to see it go.
You are not going there to be shamed, but richly rewarded. Do not fear it. It will be your day in the private audience of the King of Kings where you will receive your crown(s), and "a white stone with your new name on it." After which you will join the multitudes in heaven to live forever in light of God's glory.
"There are no crown-wearers in heaven who were not cross-bearers here below." - Charles Spurgeon

What do you do when you find yourself without vision, without direction or enthusiasm? There is no uplift. Many of us find ourselves like current-less waters, like parched dry ground. It seems that taking that step into the unseen is hard. The step into devotion, into prayer is strangely hard.
It takes the Almighty grace of God to take the next step when there is no vision or leading. It takes a far more conscious drawing of God than each one of those steps. Even giving a Bible study is easier than going into the working of the unseen. When I have gotten into that valley, there is a conditioned perseverance. I make myself get up and go up to the Mountain of Prayer, I open my Bible and read it still. Do I allow myself to rest?
Yes, as Elizabeth Elliot said, "Rest is the weapon of God. Satan likes to wear out the saints, he does not like rested ones." So I take my rest when necessary. But there is a common ground war we are all fighting. Fighting for our unsaved people we love. Fighting for good health, fighting for finances, fighting the onslaughts of Satan coming from every direction. But we are not fighting this unseen fight alone.
Listen to Charles Spurgeon's last recorded words from June 7, 1891:
“Those who have no master are slaves to themselves. Depend upon it, you will either serve Satan or Christ, either self or the Saviour. You will find sin, self, Satan, and the world to be hard masters; but if you wear the livery of Christ, you will find him so meek and lowly of heart that you will find rest unto your souls. He is the most magnanimous of captains.
There never was his like among the choicest of princes. He is always to be found in the thickest part of the battle. When the wind blows cold he always takes the bleak side of the hill. The heaviest end of the cross lies ever on his shoulders. If he bids us carry a burden, he carries it also. If there is anything that is gracious, generous, kind, and tender, yea lavish and superabundant in love, you always find it in him.
These 40 years and more have I served him, blessed be his name! and I have had nothing but love from him. I would be glad to continue yet another 40 years in the same dear service here below if so it pleased him. His service is life, peace, joy. Oh, that you would enter on it at once! God help you to enlist under the banner of Jesus even this day! Amen.”
