Lately I have been watching the whole world going into meltdown phase. The world we have been used to is becoming a banana republic and a spin zone of chaos, panic and fear. I have been reading articles and watching the "real" news and seeing that we are slowly running out of food. Many people are becoming aware now. Those that have been aware have been stockpiling, while others have laughed and mocked the reality of it. Now things are changing. People are beginning to wake up and panic. Food prices are astronomical and there is no end in sight.
Along with that, the gas prices are soaring, and people are becoming afraid. There is a coming economic catastrophe and this time it WILL happen. I bring this up because I have been observing a lot of fear and panic. There is so much constant "breaking news" that people are seeing and feeding on all day and night. These words struck me yesterday, "the quiet power of the Holy Spirit." Along with those words came a solid message within my heart, I believe is from the Lord.
While this world is melting down, we do not have to. While the violence and noise of this world is going on, within there is the quiet power of the Holy Spirit who is not phased by any of it. This is now the time for us to all be stepping back out of the edge of the tornado and into the "the quiet power of the Holy Spirit" within us.
In Isaiah 30:15 it says, "For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not."
There is a "returning" to the Lord right now. A returning from the chaos, noise and clamor to the Lord who is "quiet in His presence." He will give you internal, solid peace in the quiet power of the Holy Spirit. When that happens, you will then have quiet strength of power within. When all is quiet within, then you are able to be led by Him. You will then be able to hear His voice quite easily. You will walk in the power of quiet paths while the world is falling at your right hand and at your left. You "will dwell in quiet habitations," because the house of the righteous is blessed.
"Nothing teaches us about the preciousness of the Creator as much as when we learn the emptiness of everything else.” ― Charles H. Spurgeon

The word "prepare" has never been more employed than now. It is used mostly as an alarm bell these days. When really that word is used 266 times throughout the Bible. Not just in the preparing oneself for the coming of the Lord. It is used in many ways relating to God. When I started really looking at that word it became so beautiful to me, as I saw that preparation is something done from the heart. At least when it comes to anything that touches the Lord.
On one hand the believer's life in this world is by osmosis a preparing for heaven. There are other preparations that have to do with preparing one's own heart to seek the Lord on a matter. While there are other times going to God to ask Him to prepare our hearts is for the purpose of going beyond the carnal realm of prayer. Prayer is a true communion with Him. So it is necessary in this fast tracking world to ask Him to get your heart in a place to be able to speak to Him from there.
There are times when a person is getting ready to die, and they ask the Lord to prepare them for eternity. They ask Him to prepare their loved ones for peace when they pass away. God began by "preparing the light and the sun." He prepared a body for His Son to come into this world to be crucified for the sins of all mankind. Jesus went to prepare a place for us. Therefore we must be a prepared people to go to a prepared place. There are so many attempts by well meaning, sincere people in "trying" to prepare.
They come up short because they feel that they can never be what they should be when Christ returns. The real way to prepare is to walk out your life hour by hour in the way of the Lord. Living before the Lord in loving obedience to Him. As well as in everything they do with their eyes on Him. Let God prepare you for everything now while you are alive on earth. And let Him prepare you for eternal glory. After all, that is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit who is making you ready. God is a preparing God, and He has prepared everything for us. Let us go to Him and ask Him to prepare us, and let Him do only what He can and will do to His eternal glory and ours for His namesake.
“It was the mighty power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in Him by which Jesus overcame the world–and that same quiet power, if it dwells in us, will make us win the same victory by faith.” ― Charles H. Spurgeon

There is a very real knowing in the hearts of true believers that Jesus Christ is soon to come in the rapture. Along with that is the long waiting for Him. There is now great exhaustion and a barely hanging on. What is on the horizon is not for the faint of heart. I honestly wonder how people do it without the Lord. I was thinking about the verse in Revelation 3:11 that says, "Behold I come quickly, hold fast what thou hast, let no man take thy crown."
That seemed more powerful to me than ever. Because we are now seeing things being taken away from the earth. The faithful believer typically has had a hard life. They know how to hold up in the hardest of trials and losses. They know how to live in the "Godliness with contentment which is great gain." Without really knowing it, they have been practicing all their lives. When Jesus tells us to hold fast what we have. What we hold fast to is the faith given to us, we hold fast to His enduring mercies, we hold fast to His grace, we hold fast to His love and grace. We hold fast to the end.
In essence we hold on to Jesus Christ who is our life and crown. The exhortation is - hold fast by what God has given in His gospel; hold fast His Son, His truth and His grace. Keep firm hold of the great truths and principles of the gospel. We have a Christ that is worth keeping, see to it that you keep Him, and do not let Him slip away out of your fingers. The end of the race is the hardest part, the one that results in the consequence and reward of hard toil, faithfully done, and of effort that strains every muscle in the race. The faithful participation in life and glory for evermore, which in essence is your crown.
"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible." 1 Corinthians 9:24-25.

As things in our world rapidly deteriorate in our nation, there is a growing epidemic of fear even in the believers lives. There is a very serious famine swiftly approaching, and even threats of a cyber attack that would wipe out all communications. The price of oil is at an historic high which has driven gas prices through the roof. People are beginning to panic. Very shortly from now, everyone's lives are going to face some very terrible circumstances. There will be no earthly answers.
There is only one sure foundation for those that know the Lord and His word. They will have a firm footing upon that eternal word. When the tide rises they will know what God will do for those that have faith in Him from past experiences. They will do what all those in the Bible did in times of famine and war. "They cried unto the Lord and He heard them and delivered them."
God is the creator of the world, and He has sovereign power and control. He is "the God of mercy." He would not be called that if He did not show Himself merciful without fail. He has a perfect track record contained in the entire canon of scripture that spans over six thousand years of mankind upon the earth. God will deliver you in famine, and He will deliver you in war, and in everything that can come upon you. Get into His word, as you daily eat food to keep your physical body alive. He will honor those that trust Him, and from the heart believe His word. There is no greater honor than to literally believe every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God," and live by it. Then He will perform it on your behalf.
“Saints of the early church reaped great harvests in the field of prayer and found the mercy seat to be a mine of untold treasures.” ~Charles Spurgeon

Today Ken Bailey joins me to share some very powerful words of prophecy regarding the very end of time. He share open visions of the end time events God had shown him in the recent years past. He is straightforward, pure and unapologetic about what he reveals to us what he has heard and seen. At the same time Ken is a very loving and incredibly humble man
His visions are vivid, full of intensity, detail and imagery that holds up to the word of prophecy many of us are familiar with. He also exhorts and encourages all people from all over the world to sincerely repent and turn to the Lord for real salvation. He admonishes all of us to know that Jesus is coming in the Rapture for a ready and prepared people. There is so much in this interview to take in and worth every second of listening. You will be greatly encouraged, strengthened and refreshed.
"The Word of God will be to you a bulwark and a high tower, a castle of defense against the foe. Oh, see to it that the Word of God is in you, in your very soul, permeating your thoughts, and so operating upon your outward life, that all may know you to be a true Bible-Christian, for they perceive it in your words and deeds.” ― Charles H. Spurgeon

There are times during devotions, or Bible reading when unexpectedly the Holy Spirit shines His light on a passage. It is unmistakable. It has happened to me many times so I know it is Him. There is nothing like it. Today I read the words in Psalm 20: 2-4, "Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever."
It was written by King David regarding a triumphant victory over his enemies, and of a prophecy regarding Jesus. I understand the historicity of it. However, I saw that God had given David his heart's desire, and did not withhold the request of his lips. He asked life of God and God gave it to Him. Yet it is also a prophecy about Jesus asking His Father to give Him His heart's desire for the salvation of mankind, which is eternal life. I was deeply moved in my spirit about this.
God hast granted all that He desired in his heart, as well as that which He openly requested with his lips. The desire of Christ’s heart was his own resurrection and exaltation, for the benefit of his church; and now he ever liveth to make request with his lips, for the conversion and salvation of sinners. Yet, I saw that this is the key to answered prayers. That we from our hearts desires would make the same request in prayer. The key that unlocks the door of prayer is the same. That we would "ask life" of God for people we love, even our enemies, and circumstances. Such desires will be granted, and such requests will never be withholden. Let us be careful to frame ours after that all-perfect model of divine love.
"It is a solemn thing to find oneself drawn out in prayer which knows no relief till the soul it is burdened with is born. It is no less solemn afterwards, until Christ is formed in them." ~Amy Carmichael

In this episode Brook and I begin with what the act of obedience is, and the greater, more beautiful meaning of it. It is key to the further topics we bring in regarding the final days of this "present evil age." This nation is set for a certain fall. A famine is going to happen, and is well underway. Our economy is also certain to crash, and there will be the end of the dollar.
The war between the Ukraine and Russia is causing a domino effect of all kinds of catastrophe on a total world wide scale. What obedience means now at this last time, will be what will cause you to walk in safety with God. Staying in your bibles will give you strength and courage to stand in faith for yourselves, homes and families.
In the Bible cover to cover God makes Himself known to all humanity through six thousand years of proof that He is the God who saves. He has shown His strength and help to every generation since, and will always do the same. Prayer and knowing His word will strengthen the faith that must go together with obedience, as Brook highly and strongly emphasized. It is now critical that everyone take what is happening seriously, and start right away in preparation for things that are upon us. There is no time to waste anymore. Obedience to the Lord by faith will make everyone sharper. There are many other things that we discussed as we allow the living waters to flow out.
" That obedience which is not voluntary is disobedience, for the Lord looketh at the heart, and if He seeth that we serve Him from force, and not because we love Him, He will reject our offering. ~C.H. Spurgeon

As I have been seeing what has been going on in the Ukraine it is obvious that this is the kick off of the beginning of the end. Even things in Israel and here in the U.S. is all working together to bring about a one world currency. It is paving the way for the Antichrist to be ushered in shortly to broker world peace.
Many nations are involved now in this worsening war, and it is not going away anytime soon. There is a list of economic woes barreling towards us. The whole world is now involved, and they are marching in the hundreds of thousands in their nations demanding peace. This world is now setting the stage for the one world order spoken of in prophecy.
While the people of this nation are hoping for a new man in office, we are looking for the "Blessed Hope." Which is Jesus returning for us in the catching away of His body, the church. All signs point to His imminent return, and our ears are tuned in for the "sound of the last trump of God." Though there are fearful sights and increasing reports of all kinds of hardships, we will trust Jesus Christ as much as ever, and more also. There is a strength now entering into the people of the only true and living God.
I too am being strengthened each day in a way I have never experienced, and it is coupled with incredible joy. I am acutely aware that is a source other than myself. Let us now work tirelessly in His great strength fearing nothing, but in mighty trust to Him that saved us from death. Let your life now be used by God in prayers that are mighty, from your hearts. Making every second count in reaching people for Christ, and leading them to a sure salvation. This is our time now as the armies of God to rise up, go forth under His banner. Never give up, never stop trusting Jesus, and lean only upon His everlasting arm for everything no matter what comes. His way is perfect, the will of the Lord will prevail and we will reign with Christ forever and ever. "Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?" That is us, the body of Christ!
“Let eloquence be flung to the dogs rather than souls be lost. What we want is to win souls. They are not won by flowery speeches.”

Have there been times in your life where you feel that you are flourishing with the Lord? Bible reading is alive, singing songs is effortless, as well as praying to Him? Then a day comes where it is like a closed shop. There is nothing, no strength to pray, everything becomes effort and singing is to hard. That day can easily turn into a week, three weeks even months. For some even years. As I get older I am very aware of earthly mortal time, and that each day "ordained" for us will come and go, and never happen again.
In a sense we are traveling through time to a timeless world called heaven. If the enemy, who is the Robber, can convince you that you must wait for open doors into a ministry. To entice you by getting you to buy into the notion that you must wait for a "divine appointment" that will usher you into a ministry. To seduce you into thinking that you must not go ahead of the Lord or you will ruin everything and will not be able to use you. If he can get you to accept these as truth, then you will waste valuable, precious, unrecoupable time that you will never get back.
You see, Jesus said, "the Spirit is indeed willing but the flesh is weak." When it comes down to it, hour by hour you have a life to live. Being used by the Lord and laboring for Him is not what the standardized thought is. It is how you are treating others, walking in Christ in sincerity towards Him in service to your family. In the most mundane common things you do for a living day by day.
Never let yourself fall into that temptation that you are not valuable to the Lord, and can not be used. Whole lifetimes have been wasted in the supposed "waiting for the Lord." Are you willing? The Holy Spirit is willing. Your flesh will always be weak, but it is up to you to resist the tempter and go forth. Really there is nothing he can do to stop you anything. There is nothing he can do to a saint that rises up in the weakness of their flesh with willingness towards Jesus Christ. That saint just forges past him and the common life becomes a great work of loving service filled with joy to Jesus Christ, and the Father in heaven.
"He who does not serve God where he is would not serve God anywhere else.” ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

**Notes taken from: https://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2021/february-web-only/diana-gruver-companions-darkness-spurgeon-depression.html
Today Brook and I discuss the subject of depression. If you have ever been depressed then you know first hand how horrible it is. We both endured it. It is lonely, tormenting, sorrowful and dark. There are many forms and kinds of depression. Most of them have to do with loss, and those losses take on the form of endless things and circumstances. There is also clinical depression.
There is yet another kind. The kind that comes without cause. For Charles Spurgeon, the celebrated 19th-century preacher, depression was more than just circumstantial. When he spoke of it in his sermons and lectures, his examples, which were often rooted in his own experience, included a significant form of depression: the kind that comes without cause.
In one sermon, he said, "You may be surrounded with all the comforts of life and yet be in wretchedness more gloomy than death if the spirits are depressed. You may have no outward cause whatever for sorrow and yet if the mind is dejected, the brightest sunshine will not relieve your gloom. There are times when all our evidences get clouded and all our joys are fled. Though we may still cling to the Cross, yet it is with a desperate grasp."
Some people expected there to be a quick fix, a logical solution, or some sort of spiritual willpower that could defeat it, but light and joy were evasive. Spurgeon clearly knew this helplessness and how poorly people can react to it. He spoke directly to harsh and insensitive “helpers” from the pulpit—those who were quick to cast blame, quick to tell depressed people to just pull themselves out of it, and slow to show compassion.
He also would not tolerate the accusation that “good Christians” do not get depressed. “God’s people,” he preached, “sometimes walk in darkness, and see no light. There are times when the best and brightest of saints have no joy.” See Isaiah 50:10. He was clear that depression isn’t a guaranteed sign of whether or not someone is a Christian; nor is it a sign you aren’t growing in your faith. It is possible to be faithful and depressed: “Depression of spirit is no index of declining Grace—the very loss of joy and the absence of assurance may be accompanied by the greatest advancement in the spiritual life.”
"I find myself frequently depressed - perhaps more so than any other person here. And I find no better cure for that depression than to trust in the Lord with all my heart, and seek to realize afresh the power of the peace-speaking blood of Jesus, and His infinite love in dying upon the cross to put away all my transgressions." ~Charles Spurgeon
