I started reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens last year, and I thought 'Why don't I read it every Christmas?' I might as well, so this is the tradition I've started. I talk more about this book and why I started this tradition in this episode.

Nelnet is my loan provider. There's a simple tool to use that allows you to pay more in the prinicipal of the loan. This is key since you'll be able to pay the loan off quicker. Don't worry about the interest. Pay off the prinicipal, so the interest doesn't increase more. In this episode, I discuss this trick in more depth.

I also provided a detailed post about this trick as well with pictures to help you out:

Ballards of Songbirds and Snakes comes out today. This movie is adapted from the same title by Suzanne Collins. It's the beginning of the Hunger Games (64 years earlier), and you get information about how president Snow became president and information about the mysterious victor, Lucy Gray Baird, who was the 1st victor to win from District 12. The information for the 10th Hunger Games was erased, so people don't know who the victor was. Her name wasn't mentioned in the Hunger Games movie or book.

This is a collector's item. An item that shouldn't be read! I put mine on the shelf, not to be touched again until I move it to another spot. I'll give the three main complaints I'm hearing about the book, which is over the damaged book, sprayed edges, and misprinting errors. I have only got to 7% so far, but I'll also provide my initial reaction of the book.

Iron Flame and Holiday Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros are already OOS online. Absolutely insane. One of the biggest release days of the year. If you didn't pre-order the book, you better go to your local bookstore or retailer like Walmart on Tuesday morning. Later you get to the store, the more likely you're not going to get these special editions.
