    Student loans started has a good initiative in the 1950's, but it has now turned into a ravenous monster. Now, 43 million Americans have a combined debt of $1.5 trillion dollars. More than credit card debt and auto loan debt. In this episode, I talk about student loans, my experience on trying to pay them off, and how colleges are using loans to make money off you. Doesn't the last part sound familar? It's a similar technique that credit cards and auto loans use to lure you in and get you stuck with the loan for a long time. However, student loans are even harder to pay off.

    Britney Spear's book is chaos. I hated it, but we have better books coming out that day I would recommend John Stamos (actor in Big Shot and Fuller House) book called If You Would Have Told Me, Diary of Wimpy Kid 18 by Jeff Kinney, Pioneer Women cookbook, and Oprah Winfrey's book club book called Let Us Descend. by Jesmyn Ward. In this episode, I'll do a quick review over Britney Spear's book and talk about some other books coming out on October 24th (books always release on a Tuesday unless your James Patterson).

  • 80. New Fourth Wing Limited Edition Sprayed Edge Has Been Announced
    Fourth Wing exclusive is releasing on November 7th. The same day Iron Flame comes out. This new Fourth exclusive has a red cover and black sprayed edge. The publishing team, Red Towers, went with this excluvie to match Iron Flame. So what does this mean? This means that the stencilled dragon sprayed edge will never restock. It looks like the publishing team is sticking with the black edge because it's easier to do, and they're able to get the book out six to eight months ahead of schedule.     It's been a year since I started this debt free journey when I put my first paycheck into my credit card payments and private loan. It's been a journey. Hard, gruesome level of effort, but it will be worth it. Paying off debt is extremely hard because you have to rewire your financial behavior and bad money habits that you might have been doing for decades. Also, credit card companies want you to stay in debt with them, so they make money off you. In this episode, I discuss what I did the first year in paying off debt, how much debt I paid off, and the 15 financial books I read that helped me build a solid, plan on paying off debt.

The week is to bring awareness to the books that are banned and censored in the United States. 2022 has seen the most banned books ever, and it's only getting worse in 2023.   • 74. How Tiktok Has Pumped Millions of Dollars In Sales For Books
    Over the last three years, sales have increased tenfold for book sales. One factor could be that people started reading again, but what caused that? Tiktok. People were on social media alot more, and Tiktok videos over books became the norm. The #booktok has amassed 176.9 billion views. That's a lot of eyeballs on books! Someone watches it, reads it themselves, and then recommends it to their friends. It's a continous cycle that has leads to more book sales. In this episode, I talk more about this.

  • 73. Iron Flame Updates: Midnight Release Parties!
    Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros, the second book to the Fourth Wing, is coming out Nov. 7th. It's highly anticipated release day, and it looks like bookstores across U.S. have initiated a midnight release party. Each bookstore is going to do something different to pass the time like trivia games, board games, etc. Once the clock turns to 12 a.m., this is where chaos will happen, and people will be able to get their hands onto the book. This is giving me Harry Potter vibes, and I definetly won't be sleeping Nov. 6th to Nov. 7th. I hope to have my review over this book out on Nov. 7th or that week, but we'll see. In the episode, I talk about the midnight release parties, where Rebecca will be on Nov. 7th, and information on the Today show providing an excerpt of this book.
