(1:10) [Prophetic visions of Isaiah, son of Amoz, about Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah]

(0:19) THE WICKEDNESS OF JUDAH (0:52) Listen, O heavens, pay attention, O earth! For the Lord speaks: “I raised children, I brought them up, but they have rebelled against me! An ox recognizes its owner, but Israel does not recognize me, my people do not understand.”

(1:58) O nation full of sin, a generation of evil-doers, false-hearted children: they have gone away from the Lord, they have no respect for the Holy One of Israel, their hearts are turned back from Him.

(2:48) Why do you insist on being battered? Why do you continue to rebel? Your head has a massive wound, your whole body is weak. It’s a mass of open wounds and no🫒oil has been put on them.

(3:11) Your land is devastated, your cities burned with fire. Right before your eyes your crops are being destroyed by foreign invaders. They leave behind devastation and destruction.

Your country has become waste, burned and overcome (3:39) Daughter Zion is now like a watchman's shelter in a cucumber field, a town shut in by armies. (3:55) If the Lord had not kept some of us safe, our fate would have been that of Sodom & Gomorrah (4:21).

“Of what importance to me are your many sacrifices?” says the Lord. (4:39) "I am stuffed with burnt sacrifices of rams and the fat from steers (0:00) What use to me is the number of the offerings which you give me? (5:04) I take no pleasure in the blood of oxen, or of lambs, or of he-goats. Do you think I want animals trampling on my courtyards?

(5:27) I cannot tolerate sin-stained celebrations! Give me no more false offerings; the smoke of burning flesh is disgusting to me, so are your new moons and Sabbaths and your holy meetings. They are a crushing burden on My spirit (5:48).

(6:01) When you spread out your hands in prayer I look the other way, because your hands are covered with blood. (6:26) Cleanse yourselves! Remove your sinful deeds from my sight. Stop sinning! (6:45) Learn to do what is right! Take up the cause of the orphan! Defend the rights of the widow!

(0:20) “Come, let's consider your options, (7:02) though your sins have stained you like the color red, you can become white like snow; though they are as easy to see as the color scarlet, you can become white like wool.” (7:21) Let us have this argument together, says the Lord.

(7:30) If you have a willing attitude and obey, then you will again eat the good crops of the land, but if you refuse and rebel, I will send destruction on you by the sword.” Know for certain that the Lord has spoken.

THE UNFAITHFUL CITY (7:53) (9:27)

How tragic that the once-faithful city has become a prostitute! She was once a center of justice, fairness resided in her, but now only murderers. (8:14) Your silver is no longer true metal, your wine is mixed with water.

(8:29) Your officials are rebels, they associate with thieves; every one of them is looking for profit and bribes…

(8:47) Therefore, the Strong One of Israel says: “Ah, I will seek vengeance against my adversaries, I will take revenge against my enemies (9:23) And my hand will again be on you, washing away what is unclean as with soap, taking away all your false metal. I will reestablish honest judges as in former times, then you will be called, 'The Just City, Faithful Town.' Zion will be freed by justice, and her returnees by righteousness. (9:33) And I will give you wise advisers as in the past.”

(9:54) All rebellious sinners will be shattered, those who abandon the Lord will perish. But a common destruction will overtake sinners and evil-doers together, and those who have gone away from the Lord will be cut off.

(10:19) You will be put to shame because the sacred gardens of your pleasure where you choose to worship, like a tree whose leaves wither. The powerful will be like a thread of🧶yarn (food for the fire), their deeds like a spark; both will burn together, and no one will put out the fire.

(0:14) CONFESIÓN Y ARREPENTIMIENTO DE JOB

Entonces Job respondió al Señor: (0:33) Reconozco que tú todo lo puedes, y que no hay plan que te sea irrealizable ni pensamiento que se esconda de ti. [Me preguntaste] "¿Quién es ese que encubre el consejo, con palabras sin entendimiento?" Ciertamente dije cosas que no entendía, cosas demasiado maravillosas para mí, las cuales jamás podré comprender.

(1:06) Escucha, por favor, y hablaré: "Yo te preguntaré, y tú me lo harás saber." De oídas te había oído; mas ahora mis ojos te ven. (1:27) Por tanto, me retracto, y me arrepiento en polvo y ceniza.

EL SEÑOR AMONESTA A LOS AMIGOS DE JOB (1:36)

Y aconteció que después que habló el SEÑOR estas palabras a Job, el SEÑOR dijo a Elifaz temanita: Mi ira se encendió contra ti y tus dos compañeros, porque no habéis hablado por mí lo recto, como mi siervo Job.

Ahora pues, tomad para vosotros siete toros y siete carneros, id a mi siervo Job y ofreced holocausto por vosotros. Entonces mi siervo Job orará por vosotros, porque a él atenderé para no trataros con afrenta. Porque no habéis hablado lo recto acerca de mí, como mi siervo Job.

(2:51) Fueron pues Elifaz temanita, y Bildad suhita, y Zofar naamatita, e hicieron como el SEÑOR les dijo; y el SEÑOR tuvo respeto a Job. [Entonces fueron Elifaz el temanita, Bildad el sujita y Zofar el namatita, e hicieron como Jehovah les había dicho. Y Jehovah atendió a Job.]

EL SEÑOR RESTAURA A JOB SU FORTUNA (3:13) (3:49)

Y tornó el SEÑOR la aflicción de Job, orando él por sus amigos; y aumentó al doble todas las cosas que habían sido de Job. [Jehovah restauró a Job, cuando él oraba por sus amigos, y aumentó Jehovah al doble todo lo que había pertenecido a Job.]

(3:28) Y vinieron a él todos sus hermanos, y todas sus hermanas, y todos los que antes le habían conocido, y comieron con él pan en su casa, y se condolieron de él, y le consolaron de todo aquel mal que el SEÑOR había traído sobre él. Y cada uno de ellos le dio una oveja, y una joya de oro.

[Entonces vinieron a él todos sus hermanos, todas sus hermanas y todos los que le habían conocido antes, y comieron con él en su casa. Se compadecieron de él y lo consolaron por todo aquel mal que Jehovah había traído sobre él. Cada uno de ellos le dio una pieza de dinero y un pendiente de oro.]

(4:19) Y el SEÑOR bendijo a la postrimería de Job más que a su principio; porque tuvo catorce mil ovejas, y seis mil camellos, y mil yuntas de bueyes, y mil asnas.

[Jehovah bendijo los últimos días de Job más que los primeros, y llegó a tener 14.000 ovejas, 6.000 camellos, 1.000 yuntas de bueyes y 1.000 asnos.]

(4:53) Y tuvo siete hijos y tres hijas. Y llamó el nombre de la una, Jemima, y el nombre de la segunda, Cesia, y el nombre de la tercera, Keren-hapuc. Y no se hallaron mujeres tan hermosas como las hijas de Job en toda la tierra; y les dio su padre herencia entre sus hermanos.

(5:30) Y después de esto vivió Job ciento cuarenta años, y vio a sus hijos, y a los hijos de sus hijos, hasta la cuarta generación. [Después de esto, Job vivió 140 años y vio a sus hijos y a los hijos de sus hijos, hasta cuatro generaciones.]

Murió pues Job viejo, y lleno de días. [Y murió Job anciano y lleno de años.]

JOB'S CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE

(0:14) Then Job answered the Lord: I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted; You asked, 'Who is this who darkens counsel without knowledge?' (0:46) But I have declared without understanding things too wonderful for me to know, about wonders not to be searched out. You said, 'Pay attention, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.'

(1:04) I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye has seen you. Word of you had come to my ears, but now my eye has seen you. (1:21) Therefore I despise myself, and I repent in dust and ashes! VII. The Epilogue (42:7-17) For this cause I give witness that what I said is false, and in sorrow I take my seat in the dust.

THE LORD REBUKES JOB'S FRIENDS (1:28)

(2:17) After the Lord had spoken these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My anger is stirred up against you and your two friends, because you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has. So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. (1:53) And my servant Job will intercede for you, and I will respect him, so that I do not deal with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has." (2:45) And Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, went and did as the Lord had said. And the Lord gave ear to Job.

THE LORD RESTORES JOB'S FORTUNES (3:04)

So the Lord restored what Job had lost after he prayed for his friends, and the Lord doubled all that had belonged to Job. (3:34) And the Lord made up to Job for all his losses, after he had made prayer for his friends: and all Job had before was increased by the Lord twice as much.

(3:46) And all his brothers and sisters, and his friends of earlier days, came and took food with him in his house; and made clear their grief for him, and gave him comfort for all the evil which the Lord had sent on him; and they all gave him a bit of money💰(a piece of silver) and a gold ring.

(4:05) So the Lord blessed the second part of Job's life more than the first. He had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. (4:36) And he also had seven sons and three daughters. The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah, and the third Keren-Happuch. Nowhere in all the land could women be found who were as beautiful as Job's daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance alongside their brothers.

(5:08) After this Job lived 140 years; he saw his children and their children  and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations. And so Job died, old and full of days.

JOB PROMETE🤫GUARDAR SILENCIO (0:10) Además de eso respondió el SEÑOR a Job y dijo: ¿Tendrá sabiduría para desistir el que contiende con el Todopoderoso? El que argumenta con Dios, que responda a esto…Entonces Job respondió a Jehovah y dijo: (0:28) Yo soy vil e insignificante, (0:44) ¿qué te responderé? Mi mano pongo sobre mi boca. Una vez hablé y no volveré a responder; aun dos veces, pero no continuaré.

EL SEÑOR RETA  A JOB

(1:06) Entonces respondió el SEÑOR a Job desde el torbellino y dijo: Cíñete ahora como varón tus lomos; yo te preguntaré, y tú me lo harás saber: ¿Acaso invalidarás mi juicio? ¿Me condenarás a mí para justificarte tú? ¿Tienes un brazo como el de Dios? ¿Truenas con una voz como la de él? Atavíate ahora de majestad y de alteza; vístete de gloria y esplendor (2:00) Difunde la indignación de tu furor; mira a todo soberbio y humíllalo. Entiérralos juntos en el polvo; encierra sus rostros en lugares ocultos. Entonces yo también reconoceré que tu diestra te dará la victoria.

(2:51) He allí el Behemot, al cual yo hice junto contigo. Come hierba como el buey. Su fuerza está en sus lomos y su vigor en los músculos de su vientre. Su cola mueve como un cedro, y los nervios de sus muslos están entretejidos. Sus huesos son como tubos de bronce, y su osamenta como barras de hierro. (3:37) Es una obra maestra de Dios. Sólo su Hacedor le puede acercar su espada. Pues los montes producen hierba para él, donde retozan todos los animales del campo. Se recuesta debajo del loto en lo oculto del cañaveral y del pantano, rodeado por los sauces (4:41) Cuando el río se desborda, no se apresura a escapar. Estará confiado aunque todo el Jordán se arroje contra su boca. ¿Lo atrapan y le perforan la nariz con garfios?

Job capítulo 41  (5:13) ¿Sacarás tú al Leviatán con anzuelo? ¿Sujetarás con una cuerda su lengua? ¿Pondrás gancho y soga de juncos en sus narices? ¿Acaso te colmará de ruegos? ¿Te hablará con palabras sumisas? ¿Hará un trato contigo, para que lo tomes por siervo perpetuo?

(5:43) ¿Jugarás con él como con un pájaro? ¿Lo atarás para tus niñas? ¿Negociarán por él los grupos de pescadores? ¿Se lo repartirán entre sí los mercaderes? ¿Podrás cortar con cuchillo su cuero o atravesar su cabeza con lanza de pescar? (6:11) Pon sobre él tu mano: Te acordarás de la batalla, ¡y nunca volverás a hacerlo! Toda esperanza del hombre se frustra, ante su solo aspecto uno cae hacia atrás. Nadie hay tan osado que lo despierte. ¿Quién podrá presentarse delante de él?

(6:51) ¿Quién me ha dado primero para que yo le restituya? ¡Todo lo que hay debajo del cielo, mío es! No guardaré silencio acerca de sus miembros, ni de sus proezas, ni de su gallarda figura. ¿Quién se acercará a él con su doble coraza? ¿Quién abrirá sus fauces? (7:33) Hay terror alrededor de sus dientes. Su espalda está recubierta de hileras de escamas herméticamente unidas entre sí.

(8:22) Sus estornudos lanzan destellos de luz, de su boca salen llamaradas. De sus narices sale humo, como de olla que hierve. Su aliento enciende los carbones, de su boca sale llama. Su poderío reside en su cuello; su presencia incurre desaliento.

(9:10) Los pliegues de su carne son apretados; son sólidos e inamovibles. Su corazón es sólido como la piedra inferior de un molino (9:36) De su grandeza sienten pavor los fuertes, y retroceden ante el quebrantamiento. La espada que lo alcanza no lo afecta; tampoco la lanza, ni el dardo, ni coselete.

(10:08) Las flechas no le hacen huir; las piedras de la honda le son como rastrojo. Al garrote considera hojarasca; se ríe del blandir de la jabalina (10:51) Por debajo tiene escamas puntiagudas; deja huellas como un trillo sobre el lodo. Hace hervir el abismo como caldera y convierte el mar en una olla de ungüentos. Tras de sí hace resplandecer un sendero; como si el océano tuviera blanca cabellera.

(11:16) No existe sobre la tierra algo semejante; está hecho exento de temor. Menosprecia todo lo que es alto; es el rey de todas las fieras arrogantes.

THE LORD CHALLENGES JOB INTO SILENCE (6:30)

(0:00) (0:44) Then the Lord answered Job: “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let the person who accuses God give him an answer!”

(0:17) Then Job answered the Lord: "Indeed, I am completely unworthy, how could I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself. I have spoken once, but I cannot answer; twice, but I will say no more."

(1:43) Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind (1:14) Get ready for a difficult task like a man. I will question you and you will inform me! (1:27) Would you indeed annul my justice? Would you declare me guilty so that you might be right? Have you an arm like God? have you a voice of thunder like his? Adorn yourself, then, with majesty and excellency, and clothe yourself with glory and honor!

(2:19) Let your wrath be overflowing; let your eyes see all the sons of pride, and make them low. Send destruction on all the proud, pulling down the sinners from their places (2:43) Let them be covered together in the dust; let their faces be dark in the secret place of the underworld. Then I will give praise to you, saying that your right hand is able to give you salvation.

(2:56) See now the Great Behemoth Beast, whom I made, even as I made you; (3:19) he takes grass for food, like the ox. His strength is in his body, and his force in the muscles of his stomach. It makes its tail stiff like a cedar, the sinews of its thighs are tightly wound. Its bones are tubes of bronze, its limbs like rods of iron.

(3:38) (4:07) It ranks first among the works of God, made by him for his pleasure. The hills bring it food, where all the wild animals play. Under the lotus trees it lies, in the secrecy of the reeds and the marsh. If the river is overflowing it is not disturbed, even if the Jordan is rushing up to its mouth.

Job, chapter 41 (4:32) Will anyone take him when he is on the watch, or put metal teeth through his nose? Is it possible for Leviathan to be pulled out with a fish-hook? (5:21) Will he make prayers to you, so that you may take him as a servant for ever? Can you play with it, like a bird, or tie it on a leash for your girls? Will partners bargain for it? Will they divide it up among the merchants? Can you fill its hide with harpoons or its head with fishing spears? If you lay your hand on it, you will remember the fight, and you will never do it again!

(6:00) Truly, the hope of his attacker is false, he is laid low even at the sight of it. Is it not fierce when it is awakened? [ Who has confronted me that I should repay?] Everything under heaven belongs to ME. Who ever went against me, and got the better of me? There is no one under heaven!

(6:48) I will not keep silent about its limbs, and the extent of its might, and the grace of its arrangement. Who can penetrate to the inside of its armor? Who can open its mouth? Its teeth are fearsome. Its back has rows of shields, shut up closely together as with a stamp or a seal; no air may come between them.

(7:48) His sneezings give out flames, and his eyes are like the eyes of the dawn. Smoke comes out of his nose, like a boiling pot. Strength is in his neck, fear goes dancing before him. His heart is as strong as a rock, hard as the lower crushing millstone. When it rises up, the mighty are terrified, at its thrashing about they withdraw.

(9:02) Striking it with a sword will have no effect, nor with the spear, arrow, or dart. It regards iron as straw and bronze as rotten wood. A club is counted as a piece of straw; it laughs at the rattling of the lance. Its underparts are the sharp points of potsherds, leaving its mark in the mud like a threshing sledge.

(10:21) It makes the deep boil like a cauldron and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment. It leaves a glistening wake behind it; you’d think the deep had a head of white hair.

On earth there is not another like him, who is made without fear. Everything which is high goes in fear of him; he is king over all that are proud.

(0:16) Entonces EL SEÑOR RESPONDIÓ A JOB desde [la oscuridad] un torbellino y dijo: ¿Quién es ese que oscurece el consejo con palabras sin sabiduría? Ahora ciñe como varón tus lomos; yo te preguntaré, y hazme saber tú.

(2:36) ¿Alguna vez diste órdenes a la aurora, para que al tomar por los extremos la tierra, sean sacudidos de ella los impíos? Ella se transforma cual la arcilla en el molde, y se presenta como una vestidura.

(3:24) ¿Por ventura has entrado hasta lo profundo del mar, has visto las puertas de la sombra de muerte? (3:45) ¿Has reflexionado acerca de la amplitud de la tierra? ¡Decláralo, si sabes todo esto! ¿Dónde está el camino hacia la morada de la luz?

(4:29) ¿Sabías tú cuándo habías de nacer, y si el número de tus días había de ser grande? (4:44) ¿Has visto los depósitos del granizo que tengo reservados para el tiempo de la angustia, para el día de la batalla y de la guerra? (5:10) ¿Cuál sea el camino por donde se reparte la luz; por donde se esparce el viento solano sobre la tierra? (5:38) ¿Quién abre cauce al aluvión, y camino a relámpagos y truenos, haciendo llover sobre la tierra deshabitada?

(6:00) ¿Acaso la lluvia tiene un padre?…(6:36) ¿Podrás unir con cadenas a las Pléyades o aflojar las cuerdas de Orión? ¿Sacarás tú a su tiempo los signos de las constelaciones, o guiarás el Arcturo (la Osa Mayor) con sus hijos? (6:55) ¿Conoces las leyes de los cielos? ¿Alzarás a las nubes tu voz para que te cubra abundancia de aguas? (7:22) ¿Enviarás tú los relámpagos? ¿Quién puso la sabiduría en el corazón? ¿O quién dio al entendimiento la inteligencia? (7:37) [¿Quién puso sabiduría en el ibis? ¿Quién dio inteligencia al gallo?]

(7:50) ¿Quién puede contar las nubes con sabiduría? 

(8:15) ¿Cazarás tú la presa para el león? ¿Saciarás el hambre de los leoncillos, cuando se están en sus guaridas para acechar? (8:36) ¿Quién preparó al cuervo su alimento, cuando sus polluelos claman a Dios, y andan errantes por falta de alimento?

Job 39 (8:52) ¿Conoces el tiempo en que paren las cabras monteses? ¿Has contado los meses que cumplen? (9:26) Se encorvan, expulsan sus crías y luego se libran de sus dolores. Sus hijos crecen en campo abierto y no vuelven más.

(9:50) ¿Quién echó libre al onagro (asno montés)? Se burla del bullicio de la ciudad; no escucha los gritos del arriero.

(10:33) ¿Consentirá en servirte el unicornio (toro salvaje), pasará la noche en tu pesebre? ¿Labrará los valles en pos de ti y le fiarás tu labor?

(11:18) ¿Diste tú hermosas alas al pavo real, o alas y plumas al avestruz? Ella abandona sus huevos en la tierra y sobre el polvo los deja calentarse…(11:58) Trata con dureza a sus hijos, como si no fueran suyos, sin temor de que su trabajo haya sido en vano. Es que Dios le hizo olvidar la sabiduría, pero cuando levanta las alas para correr, se ríe del caballo y del jinete.

(12:32) ¿Diste bravura al caballo? ¿Engalanaste de crines su cuello y su cerviz de relincho? El formidable resoplido de su nariz es temible, escarba en el valle y se regocija con fuerza. Se ríe del miedo y no se espanta; no vuelve atrás ante la espada y la jabalina. Con estrépito y furor devora la distancia y no se detiene aunque suene la corneta y el grito de guerra.

(14:11) ¿Es por tu inteligencia e industria que el gavilán emprende el vuelo? ¿Es por tu mandato que el águila se eleva y pone en lo alto su nido? Pernocta en la cumbre del peñasco, en lugar inaccesible. Desde allí acecha la presa, muy lejos. Luego sus polluelos chupan la sangre. Donde haya cadáveres, allí estará ella.

(0:12) THE LORD ANSWERS JOB out of the whirlwind: (0:28) Who is this who makes the purpose of God dark…you will give me the answers. (0:44) Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars made songs together, and all the sons of the gods gave cries of joy?

(1:27) Who shut up the sea with doors when it burst out of the womb, when I prescribed its limits and said, ‘So far you may come, and no farther; here the pride of your waves will be stopped?’

(2:06) Have you ever in your life commanded the morning, or made the dawn conscious of its place, so that it might take a grip of the skirts of the earth, shaking all the evil-doers out of it? (2:27) The earth takes shape like clay under a seal; its features are dyed like a garment. Then from the evil-doers their light is kept back, and the arm of pride is broken.

(2:46) Have you gone to the springs that fill the sea, or walked about in the secret places of the deep? Have the door-keepers of death ever seen you? Have you considered the vast expanses of the earth? Tell me, if you know it all! (3:18) In what direction does light reside, and where is the store-house of the dark…You know, for you were born before them; and the number of your days is great!

(3:56) Have you entered the secret place of the snow, or seen the armory of the hail, which I reserve for the time of trouble, for the day of war and battle? (4:15) In what direction is lightning dispersed? (4:45) Who carves out a channel for the heavy rains, or causes it to rain on a desert where there are no human beings, to satisfy a devastated and desolate land, and to cause it to sprout with vegetation? (5:01) Does the rain have a father, from whose womb does the ice emerge?

(5:33) Can you tie the bands of the Pleiades, or release the cords of Orion? [Can you lead out the constellations (Mazzaroth) in their seasons, or guide the Bear with its cubs?] (5:53) Do you know the laws of the heavens, (6:07) did you give them rule over the earth? Can you send out lightning bolts, and they go? Will they say to you, 'Here we are'?

(6:22) Who has put wisdom in the heart, or has imparted understanding to the mind? [Who has put wisdom in the high clouds, or given knowledge to the lights of the north?] Who by wisdom can count the clouds, and who can tip over the water jars of heaven, when the dust hardens into a mass, and the clumps of earth stick together?

(6:56) Do you hunt prey for the lioness or the raven, when their young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?

Job 39 (7:38) Are you acquainted with the way mountain goats give birth? (8:32) Who let the wild donkey go free? It does not hear the shouts of a driver, searching after every green plant (9:13) Is the wild ox willing to be your servant? (9:54) Is the wing of the ostrich feeble? For she leaves her eggs on the ground, and lets them be warmed on the soil, where a foot might crush them. (10:23) She’s harsh with her young, as if they were not hers, unconcerned about the uselessness of her labor; for God deprived her of wisdom. But as soon as she springs up, she laughs at the horse and its rider.

(10:58) Do you give the horse its strength? Do you clothe its neck with a mane? Do you make it leap like a locust? Its proud neighing is terrifying! It paws the ground in the valley, goes out to meet the weapons and makes sport of fear. (11:28) In excitement and impatience it consumes the ground; it cannot stand still when the trumpet is blown. At the sound of the trumpet, it says, 'Aha!' And from a distance it catches the scent of battle, the thunderous shouting of commanders, and the battle cries.

(12:18) Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, and spreads its wings toward the south? Is it at your command that the eagle soars, and builds its nest on high? (12:41) From a rocky crag it spots its prey, its eyes gaze intently from a distance. And its young ones devour the blood, and where the dead carcasses are, there it is.

(0:00) ELIHÚ EXALTA LA GRANDEZA DE DIOS…aún tengo palabras a favor de Dios, (0:42) atribuiré justicia a mi Hacedor…(1:00) Dios es grande y poderoso, y no aborrece ni desprecia a nadie…a los afligidos concede justicia. No quitará sus ojos del justo; antes bien los hace sentar en tronos junto con los reyes para siempre, y los enaltece.

(1:45) Aunque estén presos con grilletes y atrapados con cuerdas de aflicción, él les anunciará la obra de ellos, sus transgresiones, pues ellos mismos se enaltecieron… (2:13) Si oyeren, y le sirvieren, acabarán sus días en bien y sus años en deleites, con bienestar y prosperidad. Pero si no escuchan…perecerán en su ignorancia.

(2:42) Los hipócritas e impíos de corazón acumulan ira; morirán en la juventud, acabarán sus vidas entre los fornicarios y pervertidos. (3:05) Al pobre librará de su pobreza, y en medio de la opresión abre sus oídos. (3:17) También te induce a salir de las fauces de la tribulación a un lugar espacioso, libre de restricciones y de todo apuro, al solaz de tu mesa llena de abundancia.

(3:37) Pero a ti, por estar lleno del juicio que merece el impío, el juicio y la justicia te echarán mano. Por lo cual, teme. En la desgracia no te ayudarán tu clamor, tus riquezas, ni todos tus esfuerzos. (4:17) No anheles la noche…guárdate de no volver a la iniquidad, porque eso escogiste más que la aflicción.

(4:38) Dios es exaltado en su poder. ¿Quién le dirá: "Has hecho maldad"? Acuérdate de engrandecer su obra, de la cual cantan los hombres. (5:08) Dios es sublime y grande, y nosotros no le conocemos; es inescrutable el número de sus años.

(5:33) Él atrae las gotas del agua y a la lluvia convierte en vapor, el cual destilan las nubes y chorrean en abundancia sobre los hombres (6:01) Con ellas castiga/gobierna a los pueblos, y da comida en abundancia a la multitud. (6:23) Con las nubes encubre la luz, y les manda dar en su blanco. Su trueno anuncia su presencia y su celo contra la iniquidad.

Job 37 (6:50) ELIHÚ PROCLAMA LA MAJESTAD DE DIOS

También por esto se espanta mi corazón, tiembla y salta fuera de su lugar. Oíd atentamente el estruendo de su voz (7:22) …su relámpago se extiende hasta los confines de la tierra (7:37) Tras de él bramará el sonido, tronará su valiente voz. Después de él ruge el trueno con su majestuosa voz…él no lo detiene. Dios truena maravillosamente con su voz; hace grandes cosas que no las podemos comprender.

(8:05) Pues a la nieve dice: "¡Desciende a la tierra!"; y a la lluvia y al aguacero: "¡Sed impetuosos, oh lluvia y aguaceros!" Con la vehemencia de la lluvia encierra a todo hombre, para que todos conozcan su voz y reconozcan la obra suya.

(8:49) La fiera entra en su escondrijo y permanece en su guarida. Por el soplo de Dios se forma el hielo, (9:26) recarga las nubes de humedad y dispersa sus relámpagos. Se revuelven en derredor por sus designios, para que realicen todo lo que les ordene sobre la faz de su mundo habitado. (9:41) Unas veces como azote, otras  por causa de su tierra y otras por misericordia las hace aparecer.

(10:12) Presta atención a esto, oh Job; detente y reflexiona en las obras maravillosas de Dios. ¿Sabes cómo las pone Dios en concierto con su nube luminosa? ¿Sabes tú cómo flotan las maravillas de aquel que es perfecto en conocimiento? (10:50) Tú, cuyas ropas quedan calientes cuando la tierra es silenciada por el viento del sur, ¿has extendido con él la bóveda celeste, firme cual espejo de metal laminado?

(11:15) Muéstranos, qué le hemos de decir; para que no hablemos disparates, pues no podemos organizar nuestras ideas a causa de las tinieblas. ¿Habrá que informarle que yo voy a hablar? ¿Se le ha de referir lo que uno diga?

(11:41) Nadie puede mirar el sol que resplandece entre las nubes, cuando pasa el viento y las despeja. Del norte viene un dorado esplendor y una temible majestad. El Todopoderoso, a quien no podemos alcanzar, es sublime en poder y en justicia. Los hombres le temen, pero Él no mira a ninguno de los que se creen sabios.

ELIHU EXTOLS GOD'S GREATNESS (0:10) “Give me a little more time, for I have still something to say for God, (0:36) to give righteousness to my Maker. (0:45) He does not despise people, he is mighty, and firm in his intent (1:15) He does not allow the wicked to live, but he gives justice to the poor…with kings on the throne he seats them, making the righteous safe for ever.

(1:34) And if they have been prisoned in chains, then he reveals to them what they have done (1:56)(2:14) And he reveals this for correction: If they obey and serve him, they live out their days in prosperity, he gives them long life, and years full of pleasure.

(2:25) But if they refuse to listen, they pass over the river of death and expire without knowledge. Those who have no fear of God keep wrath stored up in their hearts. They die in their youth, and their life ends among the male cultic prostitutes, (2:32) their life is short like that of those who are used for sex purposes in the worship of their gods.

(2:57) He makes the wrong done to the poor the way of their salvation, He delivers the afflicted by their afflictions, he reveals himself to them by their suffering. (3:10) And surely, he drew you from the mouth of distress, to a wide place, unrestricted, and to the comfort of your table filled with rich food.

(3:28) But now you are preoccupied with the judgment due the wicked…be careful that no one entices you with riches; do not let a large bribe turn you aside. (3:40) Would your wealth sustain you, even all your mighty efforts? (4:06) Do not long for the cover of night (4:16) Take heed, do not turn to evil, for because of this you have been tested by affliction.

(4:34) Indeed, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him? Who has said to him, 'You have done what is wicked'? Who ever gave orders to him, or said to him, You have done wrong?’

(5:02) Remember to extol his work, which people have praised in song. All humanity has seen it; people gaze on it from afar. (5:18) Yes, God is great, beyond our knowledge! The number of his years is unsearchable.

(5:31) For he sends drops through his mist as rain, which the clouds pour down and shower on humankind abundantly (5:48) Who can understand the spreading of the clouds, the thunderings of his pavilion? …It is by these that he judges the nations and supplies food in abundance. (6:17) With his hands he covers the lightning, and directs it against its target.

Job 37 ELIHU PROCLAIMS GOD'S MAJESTY (6:52) At this also my heart pounds and leaps from its place. Listen carefully to the thunder of his voice. (7:23) Under the whole heaven he lets it go and does not hold back his lightning bolts when his voice is heard.

(7:49) God thunders with his voice in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. To the snow he says, 'Fall to earth,' and to the torrential rains, 'Pour down.' (8:07) He causes everyone to stop working, so that all people may know his work (8:31) A tempest blows out icy cold, the breath of God produces ice, He loads the clouds with moisture (8:57) The clouds go round in circles, wheeling about according to his plans, to carry out all that he commands them over the whole inhabited world. Whether it is for punishment for his land, or whether for mercy, he causes it to find its mark.

(9:31) Pay attention to this, Job! Stand still and consider the wonders God works…(9:43) you, whose garments are hot when the earth is still (10:12) Will you, with him, make the skies smooth, and strong as a polished looking-glass? (10:28) Tell us what we should say to him. We cannot prepare a case because of the darkness. (10:58) But now, the sun cannot be looked at, it is bright in the skies (11.07) From the north he comes in golden splendor; around God is awesome majesty. God's glory is greatly to be feared.

(11:24) As for the Almighty, we cannot attain to him! He is full of righteousness, doing NO wrong. Therefore people fear him, for He has no respect for all those who are wise in heart.

(0:55) ELIHÚ ASEVERA LA JUSTICIA DE DIOS

Elihú continuó diciendo: Oíd, sabios, mis palabras; vosotros doctos, estadme atentos. (1:52) Porque el oído distingue las palabras,como el paladar gusta para comer. Escojamos lo que es correcto; conozcamos entre nosotros lo bueno. (1:22) (2:12) Porque Job ha dicho: “Yo soy justo, y Dios me ha quitado mi derecho. Mi herida es incurable a pesar de que no hubo transgresión”.

(1:34) (2:23) ¿Qué hombre hay como Job, que bebe el escarnio como agua? Y va en compañía con los que obran iniquidad, y anda con los hombres maliciosos. Pues ha dicho: "El hombre no sacará provecho de estar de acuerdo con Dios."

(2:37) Varones de entendimiento, oídme: Lejos esté de Dios la impiedad, y del Omnipotente la iniquidad. Porque él pagará al hombre según su obra. Realmente, el Todopoderoso no pervertirá el derecho (3:20) ¿Quién le ha puesto a cargo de su tierra? Si él se propusiera en su corazón y retirara su espíritu y su aliento, toda carne perecería juntamente, y el hombre se tornaría en polvo (3:51) Si has entendido, oye esto; escucha la voz de mis palabras: ¿Acaso gobernará el que aborrece el derecho?

(4:14) Cuánto menos a aquél que no favorece al rico ante el pobre, pues todos son obra de sus manos. En un momento morirán, a medianoche. La gente será sacudida y pasará; los poderosos serán eliminados, y no por mano.

(4:58) Porque los ojos de Dios están sobre los caminos del hombre. No hay tinieblas ni oscuridad para que allí se puedan esconder los que hacen iniquidad. (5:30) Pues Dios no impone plazo al hombre para que vaya a juicio ante él…quebrantará a los fuertes sin pesquisa, y en lugar de ellos establece a otros.

(5:48) Por sus maldades los castiga en un lugar donde lo vean. Porque dejaron de seguirle y no consideraron ninguno de sus caminos, haciendo que el clamor del pobre llegase ante él, y que él oyera el clamor de los afligidos.

(6:23) Y si él diere reposo, ¿quién inquietará? Si escondiere su rostro, ¿quién lo contemplará? Él está igualmente sobre pueblos e individuos, haciendo que reine el hombre hipócrita para evitar que reine el hombre impío y que ponga trampas al pueblo.

(6:52) Porque de Dios es decir: Yo perdoné, no destruiré. Enséñame tú lo que yo no veo; que si hice mal, no lo haré más. ¿Acaso ha de retribuir según tus condiciones, porque tú rechazas las suyas? Pues tú eres quien escoge, y no yo; habla entonces lo que sabes.

(7:31) Los hombres de entendimiento dirán conmigo que Job no habla con sabiduría (7:51) ¡Oh, que Job fuera examinado a fondo, pues responde como los hombres inicuos! (8:12) Porque a su pecado añadió impiedad; aplaude en medio de nosotros y multiplica sus palabras contra Dios.

Job 35 (0:08) ELIHÚ CONDENA A JOB

(8:28) Procedió Eliú en su razonamiento: ¿Piensas que es correcto que digas: "Soy más justo que Dios"? Porque has dicho: "¿Qué te importa a ti la ventaja que yo saque de mi pecado?"

(8:55) Yo te responderé con argumentos, a ti y a tus amigos contigo: Mira a los cielos, y observa, y considera que los cielos son más altos que tú. Si pecas, ¿qué logras tú contra él? Si tus rebeliones se multiplican, ¿qué le podrás hacer a él?

(9:35) Si fueres justo, ¿qué le darás a él? ¿O qué recibirá de tu mano? Al hombre como tú dañará tu impiedad, y al ser humano aprovechará tu justicia.

(9:55) Claman a causa de la mucha opresión; gritan a causa del poderío de los grandes. Sin embargo, nadie pregunta: "¿Dónde está Dios, mi Hacedor, que da canciones en la noche, que nos enseña por medio de los animales de la tierra, y que nos hace sabios mediante las aves de los cielos?"

(10:22) Allí claman, pero él no responde, a causa de la soberbia de los malos. Ciertamente Dios no escucha la falsedad; el Todopoderoso ni la mira. ¡Cuánto menos cuando dices que aunque no lo veas, tu causa está delante de él, y que a él tú esperas!

(11:01) Mas ahora, porque su ira no ha castigado, ni ha considerado de veras la rebelión, vanamente ha abierto Job su boca, y sin conocimiento multiplica palabras.
