Full Hour | In today’s second hour, Dom welcomes Central Bucks School District President Dana Hunter back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a story posted recently on Broad+Liberty that examines the media coverage of her school district, determining that many times, reporters state that the board is ‘anti-LGBT’ while frequently ignoring the district’s perspective. Hunter takes us inside the target of these reports, being the district’s new policy on books displaying sexual imagery, explaining why this is not anti-LGBT nor are they outright banning books, telling why she hopes the policy does indeed produce inclusivity.
Then, Dom welcomes Pennsylvania Representative Joseph D’Orsie (R-York) onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a new bill he authored, HB179, which would ban ‘bias response teams’ at Universities and limit high security fees for controversial speakers, also enabling somebody whose free speech rights have been infringed to take action against the University. D’Orsie explains what he hopes to accomplish with this bill, explaining the continued bias presented on University campuses and how these alleged ‘response teams’ would not reduce but instead further increase bias, particularly against conservative ideals.
