The online space has changed the way we date, and Dean just can’t keep up. In Dating Dr Rach this week, we are joined by sex coach & embodied therapist Georgia Grace.

(So we know that our perpetually single Dean is fast tracking his path to finding love with Dating Doctor Rach’s help, but she is not actually a real doctor, so we thought we would get a real expert to come and talk about dating online in 2023.

Every five years the ABS counts every person and household in the country. It’s the most comprehensive snapshot of our society, except when it comes to our communities.

Last month the ABS called for public submissions about topics that should be included in the 2026 Census, but one person decided that going through the same patterns of the past and expecting the same result wasn’t on.

Evalyn Venture started a very specific petition, not just because she wasn’t properly counted in the data as a transwoman, but because that’s the reality for so many of us.

It’s Lesbian Visibility Week, a week celebrating lesbians and showing solidarity with all LGBTQI women and non-binary people in our communities. And Dean & Rach discuss the amazing group of women who lift our communities up in so many different ways, especially when we hear and see them coming.

Dykes on Bikes Melbourne is a motorcycle club for female-identified motorcyclists, who, amongst other things lead our communities at Pride Parades around Victoria, & proud dyke on a bike Renee to joined us to discuss their experiences with the club.

Also in this weeks edition of Dean Dean Time Machine, we touche on different parts of Aussie queer history, exploring how lesbians have done a lot, and helped to not only form and influence the space and rights we have today, but to support the community that exists as well. 

 

It was a JOY Breakfast filled with conversations about surrogacy for same sex attracted couples this morning, so Rach and Dean stepped it up a notch and welcomed Naturopathic Queer Reproductive Health and Fertility expert Sage King onto the show to talk about supporting the LGBTQIA+ Community in healthcare.

Navigating starting a family is tough enough, so it was great to have Sage join the show to talk about the what we can all to help people on the road to fertility.

Dean is still shocked he should be eating 3 cups of vegetables a day.

Activist, actor & former professional rugby league footballer Ian Roberts joined Rach & Dean on JOY Breakfast this week to tell us about Qtopia Sydney. Sydney’s LGBTQI museum which had its permanent home announced this week – the former Darlinghurst police station.

Melbourne-based drag performer Cerulean joins Rach & Dean on JOY Breakfast following their fabulous of the title Miss First Nation: Supreme Queen  following the competition during Sydney World Pride.

Brisbane pop band Cub Sport have their 5th album out titled Jesus at the Gay Bar, and lead singer Tim Nelson joined Rach & Dean on JOY Breakfast to talk about it.

With an album title like that you better believe we couldn’t wait to hear more, but Nelson also shared what it’s like living your true authentic self to more than just your music. As we talked growing up queer, coming out when your ready and living life with husband and fellow Cub Sport keyboardist Sam Netterfield, as they went from childhood best friends to bandmates to share the rest of their lives together.
