Hello and welcome back to this weeks episode of "Star Student Sunday!" (That didn't sound cheesy, right?)
This week Gerard and I are going to talk about the benefits of reading and why we think it is important for you to read books!
Personally, I've always thought it would be cool if I could figure out how to read more, and how to read faster. I guess that's just part of my self-development addiction, and also in part because I've come to understand the importance of reading.
Reading can even keep you out of prison!
So whole we might do more episodes in the future about speed reading, speed reading techniques, book recommendations, and more... in this episode we are just going to go over some fun and interesting stats surrounding the ties between bookworms and how their lives go.
So be sure to like, subscribe, and ask us questions if you have them, and stay tuned for future episodes with our college tips, reading tips, book recommendations, and other fun things that we come up with along the way!
And give us feeback!!! We'd really appreciate that.

Have you ever been told to "never burn a bridge"?
I have been told time and time again by friends and family that I should never burn a bridge. It's something that comes up pretty much any time you try to change anything in your life.
That's just it though.
As far as I'm concerned, this is a saying that came out of the natural fear of change that people just have. More specifically... the fear of the unknown.

Does this completely go against what I said back in Episode 62?
Not really.
Back in the day, I did an episode where I was trying to explain that without money... you cannot achieve freedom. Which is true.
However I should have been more careful with the title back then, because money does not EQUAL freedom... it's more so just a variable in the equation.
In order to truly create freedom, you need money, time, and an understanding of what you truly want. Mix all of those together and you will be well closer to freedom than you will be if you just spend your entire life chasing more and more money.

This week we are back in the studio with another friend of mine, Ian Farr, who will tell us about the journey he is on to becoming a Physical Therapist.
Ian is about to enter his senior year at Penn State University, and obtain his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology.
Starting out not really sure what he wanted to do, Ian decided to major in Kinesiology because he felt that it left his options open, and now he has decided to stay on track to get into physical therapy.
So for you physical therapy folks, you ought to enjoy listening to how the journey has been so far, and where it goes from here.
I love doing these interviews with guests because I get to catch up with people and see what their lives are like. If you feel the same way, please let us know!!!
If you have questions for either one of us, you better put it down in a comment, and we will get on it ASAP!!!
Thanks for watching, and be sure to subscribe if you haven't done so already!

I've really got some stuff to get off of my chest in this one.
If you're struggling with any type of dream, goal, etc... this one is especially for you.
If you are someone that's a negative Nancy in someone else's life, and tries to pull them back to "reality" then this one is for you too.
Give it a listen.

Have you ever thought that there is some sort of accomplishment that you can achieve, and then you'll be happy because you had done so?
Have you ever thought something like, "if I land a six-figure job, then I'll be happy" or "if I save up and move to my dream home in Florida, then I'll be happy"?
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if you have. I know I've done that, and most people would do that too, but here's the problem.
In a lot of cases, happiness and success work the other way around.
A lot of us have the inclination to think that if we become successful, then we will be happy, but I'm starting to come to realize that in reality, the case might be that if we find ways to be happy... that could lead us to our greatest success!

So I have been asked a couple of times about why I talk so fast on the podcast.
There actually is a reason for that... kind of... for the most part.
To be honest, I don't necessarily notice it when I'm doing it... but I still do it for a reason.
That reason is because our brains are much more capable of processing information than we think they are. It's also because of the shortened attention spans of today's world.
I drop all sorts of little tips and tricks in this one actually... so if you're actually reading the description, I applaud you, but now I want you to actually listen.

This week we are shaking things up a little bit on JRP DAILY.
We invited our friend Dave back into the studio to talk with Gerard, because both of them are pursuing very similar lives in the animation and game industry.
Gerard has recently graduated with Bachelor's Degree in Game Art, from Full Sail University, and David will be finishing up his degree in Computer Animation in the next year.
Both of them talk about what opportunities there are in game design, animation, and the film and video game industry as a whole.
If you enjoy talks like this, be sure to let us know in the comments below. Gerard, David, and even Justin will all be available to answer your questions, so don't hesitate to ask.
Otherwise, leave us a like, and be sure to subscribe if you haven't done so already!!!

I've noticed that when you bring up "business" around people, just about everyone thinks about it in one of two ways.
Either they think of some extremely intelligent dude in a suit and tie, that spends his time crunching numbers, reading charts, running reports, giving presentations, and all this other technical stuff.
Or....
They think about a customer and a provider. Simple.
After noticing this, I've come to think that that first type of "business" is probably actually scaring a lot of people away from business... and I don't blame them!!!
I couldn't handle being an accountant, marketer, project manager, CEO, operations manager, and so on all at the same time! That's why businesses hire people.
But here's the thing. Business is really as hard as you make it out to be, and when you get down to it, business is about servicing your customer.
The business that provides the customer with the best experience always wins.
Period.

Do any of you follow guys like Russell Brunson, Dean Graziosi, or even Barbara Corcoran?
I have seen all of them using this new idea of a "workcation"... even though nobody is really calling it that yet.
A "workcation" used to basically just be you sitting outside with your laptop, and posting on social media about how you are so dedicated to your work because you are sitting outside with your laptop.
But now there is a whole new approach to the "workcation."
The best part is... this might have been figured out on accident.
And derived from a totally different idea for a "workcation."
Stay tuned...
