Everybody wants to be a millionaire, right?
Well... except for maybe the people that are already well beyond that.
Today I'm going to discuss what it actually means to be a millionaire. This is to set the groundwork for upcoming episodes about what it takes to actually become one.
Some people might say that a millionaire is someone that has a million dollars in assets, or a million dollar net worth.
Others would say that a millionaire is somebody who makes one million dollars a year.
The difference between the two is actually probably more drastic than you may think, and it makes a HUGE difference in how many people are considered "millionaires"

Last week we went over ten of the best foods for your brain, so it only makes sense that we take this week to go over the worst foods for your brain, right?
Well either way, that's exactly what we are doing. As it turns out, what you put into your body actually has a huge impact on how your body (and mind) will perform.
The bad news is.... if you're anything like us... this list of the worst foods you could be consuming is probably going to sound exactly like your grocery list.
The good news is... we are going to share some alternatives with you, so that you can make the CHOICE to live a healthier and more productive lifestyle.
Making these changes can be hard, and we understand that... trust us. But we are right here with you guys and if you ever have any questions, or need any help, you can reach out however you want... even just in the comment section below.
I also want to share with you this episode of Jim Kwik's podcast covering this same list.

Jim has been a huge inspiration for this segment of JRP DAILY, and we are working diligently to make sure we are able to have him on as a guest some day.
In the meantime, sit back, and prepare to be educated!

To wrap things up this week, I decided to do a little bit of research on the ultra successful figures we have come to know, that never got a college degree.
Some of these folks never even finished high school... and a select few didn't even make it past fourth grade!
Now the point that I want you to get out of this episode is not that school is bad, college is a waste of time, etc. etc.
You will also notice that a good chunk of these successful college dropouts are just that... dropouts.
The point I want you to understand, rather, is that your formal education has no direct ties to the level of success you will achieve.
What matters is what you actually do to impact this world. It depends on how many people you can help, and/or how valuable you are to the world.
That's why guys that are fully educated with MBAs can find success, but so can guys that never finished high school, or even elementary school.
Here's the full list, by the way.

Continuing on the topic of whether or not you should go to college... have most people really looked at what their other options are?
There are the two main options. Go to college, or don't go to college.
But there are also kind of "sub-options" like going to school online or on campus. Choosing which school to go to. Maybe going to college through your employer, seeing that that's an option a lot of companies are picking up now.
Even when weighing your options, are you really weighing them fairly? Be honest.
Have you ever said to yourself something like "Online college doesn't look as good on a resume as going to the campus." or "This school's ___ program isn't as good as this (more expensive) one?"
I'll give you a little hint.
There are so many opportunities now, and so much noise in the world that employers hardly care if you have a degree... let alone where or how you got it.
When hiring, companies are actually going to take the time to look at the person. They're going to look for character, drive, and other soft skills... and really just skim right over the degree... if it's even a requirment.
So consider that.

The simplest way to describe what inflation is, is by saying that it is the loss of value in a particular thing.
When talking about inflation, we are often referring to money and the economy. Not in this episode though.
In this episode I am actually talking about what I call Academic Inflation, which would be the decrease in the value of a college degree.
If you haven't noticed by now... a lot of college graduates are having a much more difficult time finding worthwhile jobs with their degrees than graduates did in, let's say, 1985.
This is because while the price of college has been going up and up and up, the actual value held within that degree has gone down drastically.
The reason? Supply and Demand.
Very similar to how inflation works in the economy, the supply and demand of college education has greatly affected the actual worth of the degree.
Find out more by listening.

Here goes day 2 of this weeks ranting on college.
I saw an interesting article a while ago that explained how companies like Google and Apple will implement their own "universities" into their companies.
In short, this is what internal education.
As a matter of fact, this is already happening in a lot of companies. They have their own "universities" or "academies" that they send their employees to in order to learn the ins and outs of their job.
While this is "on the job training", it stands out because of the fact that employees are learning in a classroom setting. (and getting paid to be there, might I add)
So with companies becoming more and more acquainted with this idea of providing their own employees an education, I can only imagine that it evolves into something much more impactful, and eventually might even phase traditional universities out completely.
That's just my two cents though.
If you disagree... then use the social links below to get ahold of me and tell me why.

We're going to back on a tangent about college here for a couple of episodes.
It has been at the front of my mind again lately how messed up the education system really is. School is way overpriced, and somehow it is positioned to be something that most people that can't afford it will still buy into.
What?!
While we are busy yelling about guys like Gary Vaynerchuk being "scammers"... we are spending tons and tons and tons of money to go to schools that land us jobs at large companies (like Gary's) when we get out anyway.
What the hell is going on?
So to start... today I'm going to remind you that that piece of paper you get on graduation day is worth NOTHING.
It's a piece of paper that cost you at least tens of thousands of dollars... and you can't even sell it for a dollar.
Now that's just not good business.

This week we've got Gerard sitting in as our guest on JRP DAILY to talk over some stuff that has been going on recently.
This conversation took a turn into a surprisingly interesting topic of voice acting and other little subjects that have to do with TV and Movie production.
With Gerard's expertise with video game production and such.. we were able to piece together some interesting questions and hypotheses for ourselves in this one.
Let us know if you like this style of conversation! It's more flowy than structured this week.

They say you are what you eat, right? So wouldn't you want to pay attention to what is going into your body?
Okay okay... maybe we wouldn't say that you ARE what you eat. Because if you eat a carrot, you will not turn into a carrot.
We will however say that you are HOW you eat. In other words, if you eat healthy, you will be healthy.
So if you want to BE smart... you have to make sure you EAT smart... and that's what we are going to help you do today... and we aren't talking about "SmartFood"
In this episode we go over the top 10 brain foods, that will improve your memory, increase your brain power, and be beneficial to your overall brain health.
This episode was inspired by Jim Kwik, who runs the "Kwik Brain" podcast and also his "Kwik Learning" program.

We are BIG believers that learning how to learn is one of the most important things that anyone can do in order to get ahead in life.
It is amazing how much can change if you can increase your memory, improve your reading speed, and unlock the maximum potential of your brain.
It is the one thing that can be applied to help you in ANY area... and if you still don't believe in the power of "unlocking" your brain... then just keep listening to "Star Student Sunday" each and every week.

Everyone and their sister is trying to give you advice now, so how do you filter out what is good, and what is bad?
Really, it doesn't seem that hard, and it shouldn't be that hard, but it's also easy to get really lost in all of the noise.
This episode will go over three simple rules that you should enforce on yourself when it comes to LISTENING to the advice that people are giving you.
