PROVERBS 15: 5

Nobody likes to be corrected. Even those (especially those!) who say they do enjoy critical feedback. There is something in us that bristles when someone suggests we could have done something better or that we missed the mark. But our scripture today reminds us that the virtue of prudence might help us, especially in the spiritual life, to accept such criticism as a means of growth and maturity.
