    In this episode we discuss:

    • Coaching is not exempt from the need to maintain paperwork.
    • The importance of taking notes in coaching sessions.
    • When does taking notes become a distraction and when does it become an asset?
    • Why is a pre-call form before the session a great coaching tool?
    • What’s the responsibility of the coach, and what is the responsibility of the client?
    • How a post-session recap form allows the client to get further support in between sessions.
    • How do you optimize the client experience?

“Those pre-call forms are really powerful as a coach or a great coaching tool, and they're a great client support tool.”

“If we are just so focused on, for my case, what used to be my yellow pad, scribbling those notes, it's hard to be really present for your client. So finding the right balance of those things is important.” – Lori Wayne

  • Presenting For Better or For Work

Special "Business Revenue Leak Checklist" offer free at http://www.mrse.co/leak.

Welcome to For Better or For Work. What’s it like to be partners in business and in life? Mirasee owners Danny Iny and Bhoomi Pathak tackle the unique challenges as well as benefits of working with a spouse or significant other. Each episode features a guest couple who also share their experiences, perspectives, and hard-earned wisdom.

“You disagree by being respectfully reactionary… Your point of view, your opinions, your gut reaction is all you have in life.”  – Suzanne Evans

“I think that sometimes you just have to go with your gut and blurt it out, and then work through it and be willing to stand beside it.”  – Melonie Orr

    Suzanne Evans

Suzanne Evans is the founder of Driven Inc. She is a mom, wife, sister, entrepreneur, and risk taker from North Carolina. Her work blends business, strategy, lifestyle, and storytelling in a way that allows people to build businesses that shape the world to be a better place. The process of  momship and business ownership and life has been a delicious mix of messy, exhilarating, devastating, and exciting.

    Melonie Orr

Melonie Orr is president of Driven Inc. Always irreverent and brutally honest, Melonie disrupts any business conversation she enters by making it more logical, less emotional, and more profitable. She follows this approach because she knows that making the logical best decision will always yield the best results. She left her job as marketing director for the nation’s largest not-for-profit educational theater to run all things Driven Inc. to the tune of more than $7 million a year. By helping people realize their potential, she believes anyone can build a profitable brand.

Along the way, both women have gotten some of it right: hitting the Inc. 500/5000 for five straight years and landing #5 on the NY Times Bestseller list. As they say, they’ve also messed up a lot of things, which positions them perfectly to help more good people do more good work in the world.

    In this episode we discuss:

    • Looking at session times from both the client’s and coach’s perspective.
    • How more time does not always equal better outcomes.
    • Whether your coaching focus affects session lengths.
    • Lack of confidence among new coaches and how it plays into time.
    • The all-too-common trap of “unnecessary coaching” and how it robs you.
    • How to ensure clients don’t become dependent on you.
    • Ways to prep your clients for more effective sessions.
“It's not the session time that people want. It's the transformation.”  – Ray Hinish

    Ray Hinish

When Ray was a teenager, he never felt like he had extraordinary talent. He was a chubby, nugget-headed kid with Pepsi-bottle glasses. His grades were average. He felt he had no discernible athletic ability. He felt average; in fact, he was average. Today he understands that his “averageness” is his superpower. He was gifted with “averageness”…and the desire to be more than average.

These two competing realities sent him on a quest to learn how to “manufacture extraordinary”.

Throughout the years, he has studied high-performance and human potential starting and read hundreds of books and logged thousands of hours in training on the subject of “manufacturing greatness” in life and business.

Using that knowledge, he has started multiple businesses that have grossed over $30 million. Now his mission is to teach and coach other achievement-focused entrepreneurs to live their potential and dreams!
