Just Films and That

This week we tackled another listener’s suggestion.

Not just any listener thought as Roger (aka Alice’s Dad) got in touch through the official channels to insist that we cover David Lynch’s Blue Velvet.

So, why did he pick it and what did we reckon?

Give it a listen to find out!

Well, well, well if it isn’t another famous flop getting the treatment.

This week it was Josh’s first pick of 2022 and it’s a biggie as we take a look at 2011’s Green Lantern starring (a now regretful) Ryan Reynolds.

This one notoriously did not do well it came out but Josh reckons it deserves another look.

Hear him plead his place and get it in those ears!

Happy New Year!

Yes, it’s January and it’s depressing. we all want to be on a beach somewhere forgetting about the weight we need to lose and the resolutions we’ve already failed at. So, what better film to start 2022 off with than The Beach.

Alice chose this one because she wanted to take another look at film that was pretty divisive when it came out. So, is it underrated?

Give it a listen!

Hello!

Hope you all had a lovely Xmas. We are back with another episode and we think it’s the perfect one to listen to in that period of time between Xmas and New Year when up is down, red is blue and Mice hunt Humans.

Yes, this week we are talking about Mousehunt. A Laurel and Hardy esque farce in which two hapless brothers try and catch a Mouse that is ruining their lives.

Josh picked this one. So, is it underseen or underrated?

Give it a listen!

And I said what about Breakfast at Tiffany’s?

Yes, it’s time we tackled another classic film. This time it was Alice’s turn to pick, so we sat down to chat about an Audrey Hepburn starring Rom Com in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

We also talk classic imagery and how you would say "pop to the powder room" in this day and age?

Give it a listen to find out!
