Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday suggested  potential military action against Israel, drawing parallels to Turkey's involvement in Karabakh and Libya.

In response,  foreign minister Yisrael Katz urged NATO to expel Turkey. "Erdogan is following in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatening to attack Israel. He should remember what happened there and how it ended," Katz said in the statement.

The Jerusalem Print Workshop is marking 50 years of experimentation, creativity, friendship and groundbreaking printmaking. Since 1974, the print workshop has strived to rethink print, to both challenge the status quo and respect the timeless traditions of printing techniques. To mark the milestone, a special exhibition, "50 Years of Printmaking" at the print workshop displays many of Israel's finest artists who have shaped the print scene through work, recognizing their accomplishment and also looking forward. Kan reporter Naomi Segal heard more from Merav Hamburger, curator of the Jerusalem Print Workshop.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday Israel would give a strong response to the weekend missile strike by Hezbollah on the Golan Heights that killed 12 children and teenagers.

 "The state of Israel will not and cannot let this pass. Our response will come, and it will be harsh," he said following a visit to Majdal Shams, the site of the attack.

The exhibition, "Room 710: Far from Home Close to the Heart" casts light on the life experience of senior citizens who were evacuated from their homes in the north and south of Israel due to the October 7 attack and Iron Swords war, and who have since been living in hotels in Jerusalem. The individuals were photographed by Rafael Shachari  in their temporary accommodations, in personal moments and amid objects that connect them to their previous homes. The exhibition, on view from August 1st at the Jerusalem Theater, was produced by the Shefer Association, with support from the Welfare Ministry and the Senior Citizens Administration in the Jerusalem Municipality. Throughout this period, the Shefer Association has worked to help alleviate the sense of loneliness among the evacuees, and maintain a sense of community. Efrat Givaty, Deputy Director of Shefer, spoke to KAN  reporter Naomi Segal about the project.

While the IDF has struck over 7,000 targets and hit over 40 senior Hizbullah commanders since October 7, this was not demonstrating any strategy to bring 60,000 Israeli back to their homes along the frontier. This according to reserve Lt.-Col. Sarit Zehavi, a former intelligence officer and today president and founder of Alma research and education center. She told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that Israel needed to work with international communities to reach long-term arrangements dealing with Iran and going beyond just a ceasefire.
