Israeli housing prices were up nearly 20% over the last year, a new annual record, according to a report released Tuesday by the Central Bureau of Statistics .
Housing prices have been climbing steadily since the second half of 2018, and were up 19.8% in August to September 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, the largest year-on-year increase in recent memory.
KAN's Mark Weiss spoke with Stuart Gabriel, Distinguished Professor of Finance, and the Arden Realty Chair and Director of the Ziman Center at UCLA and asked him why apt prices in Israel continue to rise at such a pace.
