Kap & J.Hood

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed the NL Central, is it over for the Cubs? done,   7 back felt like the magic number for this race to be put to bed, and now the Cubs are 7.5 back. What might not be done is the Wild Card... The Cubs are in a tie for the top Wild Card spot right now, and their lead over Cincinnati has failed to just 5.5...  Their playoff odds are still at 96.1% at Fangraphs, but are you worried they're going to choke this?

Hour 3:  Kap & J. Hood discussed who will you blame the most if the Cubs collapse and are an early playoff exit? Ricketts, Jed, Counsell, or the players? A Speed Bump or Sink Hole?  Craig Counsell is starting to receive too much of the blame, and the bulk of my ire would still be directed at Jed.  Plus the Kap & J. Hood Cut of the day.

NFL Insider for SI.com and Amazon Prime TNF Albert Breer joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears and the latest NFL storylines.

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed the reported of another bad day for the Bears offense at Halas Hall by Kevin Fishbain.  He said “the ball was on the ground a lot.”  He also said there were a number of instances where Caleb and his receivers weren’t on the same page, and a number of throws that should have been better.  How long can this continue before it becomes concerning?  How many Blue Chip players does the Bears have on the team?

Hour 3:  MLB Insider for ESPN Jesse Rogers joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the White Sox, Cubs and the latest MLB storylines.  Kap & J. Hood discussed the Bears first preseason game against the Dolphins.  If the backup QB competition were close before the game, it would be hard to imagine a gap was made. Bagent was a mixed bag, and Keenum was really good, albeit against worse defenders.  Plus the Kap & J. Hood Cut of the day.

Hour 2:  Kap & J. Hood played Shot or No Shot, took a trip Around The NFL then national Bears Reporter for ESPN Courtney Cronin Joined Kap & J. Hood with updates on the Bears and the latest NFL storylines

Hour 1:  Kap & J. Hood discussed the Bears first preseason game against the Dolphins.  If the backup QB competition were close before the game, it would be hard to imagine a gap was made. Bagent was a mixed bag, and Keenum was really good, albeit against worse defenders. Who is in pole position for QB2? How much does it matter?  The Cubs are 6 games back in the division after dropping another series to a rival... The bats were lifeless in game 1, which was probably their worst effort of the year.  It's hard to see any hope of the Cubs making up 7 games in the standings against Milwaukee with only 45 to play.
