Ulf Karlson Sensei of Kishiomoto Di, a pragmatic proponent of Bunkai and the merits of diving deep into your chosen art. He travels to Okinawa regularly, speaks Japanese and teaches and trains whilst on Island. He hesitates to describe himself as a researcher but he has a deep hard won knowledge of the arts and an appreciation for the history and culture of the art.
In this discussion the Kata Naihanchi is a springboard into a deeper discussion on the arts. We are joined by Josh Simmers Sensei of the Okinawa Karate Podcast who very kindly agreed to co-host this discussion and he also organised the venue and times.
