Fake news isn't new.  Ongoing, yes, but not new.  Take Shakespeare for example.  We don't even know his real identity for certain because people were politically motivated to lie about him as far back as the 16h century.  That's why it's easier to just read books about motherhood.  It's very easy to tell whether or not you're a mother.
