McKenna Maduli s a Native-Hawaiian Emmy-Award winning wahine from the island of O’ahu. This kalihi girl has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry working for MTV, NBC’s Access Hollywood, Billboard live, and interviewing some of the biggest celebrities in the biz. She came home in 2016 to work as a weekend weather anchor for KHON and now is the host of her very own talk show, “Talk Story” which debuted in 2019 to rave reviews as the only one-hour Hawaiian variety show in the state. Within 4 weeks it became the number one primetime show in Hawaiʻi, receiving two Emmy nominations in its first season and winning a 2020 regional Emmy Award. She is joined by special guest Marcella Rezentes of Wai'anae and Nā Hōkū Hanohano award-winning singer Keilana Mokulehua on the world renowned Blue Note Hawaii stage for our first ever live audience podcast! Tavana McMoore is a multi-instrumentalist from the island of O’ahu. He is a one-man band who uses electronic drum triggers to lay down a variety of grooves with his feet to accompany himself on guitar, banjo, lap steel, or ukulele, while singing soulful, island-inspired rock and blues. His album, Aloha Spirit” was a Nā Hōkū Hanohano award nominee for best contemporary album of the year in 2018. He has been the supporting act for Alabama Shakes, Shakey Graves, Xavier Rudd, Jenny Lewis, Julian Marley, and Kaleo to name a few. In 2009, Eddie Vedder invited him to sing Hawaii 78 with him at the Hawaii theatre. Kelis Kaleopa'a is a Native-Hawaiian professional surfer from the island of O’ahu. She is one of Hawaiʻi’s top worldwide surfing competitors, and has been perfecting her craft on the beaches of Waikiki since she was born. In 2022 she became the women’s champion of the Vans US Open of Surfing in the longboarding division. In 2023 she won the Huntington Beach Longboard Classic and today is she currently the #2 ranked female longboard surfer in the world. Shar Tui'asoa is a Polynesian freelance illustrator from the island of O’ahu. Her illustrations are modern, fun and elegant, and painted with the lush colors of the island. She started Punky Aloha Studio in the summer of 2018 which houses various branches of illustration work, ranging from murals, freelance and client work, product sales, fine art, and licensing. She has worked as a freelance illustrator with the multiple editorial clients on O’ahu including Honolulu Magazine, Hawai’i Magazine, and Hawai’i business Magazine. She has also created artwork for big companies like Apple, Facebook, Disney, Pixar, AT&T, and Sephora. Shar has also published the first of two picture books as an author and illustrator for Harper kids, an imprint of Harper Collins.
