76ers swept in embarrassing fashion by Knicks
How did the Celtics lose to this team?
Mazzula answer – Didn’t game plan for Joel Embid
Sam Hauser – If we made the shots we would have won
Jaylen Brown – The refs had an agenda
Have the Celtics acknowledged play style is the problem?

Stevens - “I think that one of the things that we’ve got to figure out is how to have more of an impact at the rim,” Stevens said. “And I think we need to add to our team to do that.”
Brad Stevens building a roster to adapt to a better play style?
The only unrestricted free agent this summer will be Nikola Vucevic, who was acquired from Chicago in exchange for Anfernee Simons at the trade deadline.
But the Celtics received about a $27.5 million trade exception in that deal that Stevens could use this offseason. He said everything is on the table.
He was coy about what they might pursue but did note that figuring out how to get to the rim more would be a priority.
“I think that one of the things that we’ve got to figure out is how to have more of an impact at the rim,” Stevens said. “And I think we need to add to our team to do that.”
As for who will be in charge of the roster once it’s constructed, Stevens said he still has confidence in Joe Mazzulla and his staff.
“I think our coaching staff, like all of us, can continue to improve and get better. That said, I think they’re very good, and we need to continue to provide them the resources to grow and to get better and to continue to be the best that we can be.”
Joe Mazzula, adapting is coaching philosophy to a better play style?
On Failure and Greatness: Mazzulla stated, "The year we won [2024], I felt just as empty as we did when we lost... When you go after greatness, you have to accept the other side of that... you have to surrender to the idea, when you're going after that, you're going to fail. And we fail by not winning, but we stick to the process of being able to do that".
On Team Process: Despite the loss, he defended the team's approach, saying, "I love the looks that we got. I love the process that we had. Hate the result".
On the Season: He emphasized maintaining perspective, noting, "It wasn't all bad. We played solid basketball and let's focus on the stuff that we have to get better at and be more consistent in those things"
Jayson Tatum allowing the coach and roster to adjust his playstyle?
“I was away for 10 1/2 months and then I came back and I’m playing every other day. And I was playing 36 to 40 minutes. So it’s not unusual that something would come up,” Tatum said. “It’s just tough because rehab was going well the entire time. I guess it was inevitable at some point I was going to have to deal with something. It just kind of came at the worst possible time.”
“All things considered, for me to even be able to come back and play at the level I was playing at – even at 80-85 per cent, right? One of my legs is still smaller than the other one,” Tatum said. “So now that I get a long offseason to really get back to 110%, I guess that’s the silver lining of it all.”
“I’m proud of the fact that I was able to prove to myself that I could play this game at a very, very high level,” Tatum said. “Even not being 100% of myself or what I’m capable of. So now, checking that box off mentally, because that was a question in my head and there were doubts of will I be able to be the same player? Will I be able to play at a high level after this injury? Now I’ve proven it and showed that, even at 80-85 per cent of myself.”
Jaylen Brown not complain and bitch about everything constantly?
The world is against me and everything I stand for. I hate all of you for it. Also, love me and don’t criticize me. – Probably
Are you done with Jaylen Brown?
Fined $50,000 for criticizing the refs and their “agenda”.
Most favorite season of his career after winning championship and playoff MVPs
Toot toot. Brown Exposed. High Volume, great regular season player on poor team.
Don’t talk to me about the play style before Tatum got back. Regular season vs Post season.
Jaylen Brown multiple chances to win game 7. Blew them all.
Fill out the roster with legit front court and/or Point guard.
