Movies don't go back a whole lot further than the 1920s.  Most of the ones that did are lost forever.  Jackie Coogan, best known to modern audiences as the original Uncle Fester, got his first role in 1917 and didn't stop until his death many decades later.  You could call him the original guy who was in everything.  Keith, his grandson, has been carrying the torch well.
