Keith Jackson, a 2001 College Football Hall of Fame inductee, played for the University of Oklahoma from 1984 to 1987, twice earning consensus All-America honors, while also helping the Sooners earn a National Championship in 1985. Buddy Ryan and the Philadelphia Eagles made Jackson the 13th overall selection in the 1988 NFL Draft and did not disappoint, being selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons in Philly. Jackson joined the Miami Dolphins on September 29, 1992, ending an extended holdout from the Eagles and becoming a pioneer in the National Football League’s free agency process. The All-Pro tight end wasted little time in becoming one of Dan Marino’s favorite targets, as well as a fan favorite, hauling in a 24-yard touchdown pass against the Buffalo Bills just five days after he signed with Miami. In his three seasons with the Dolphins, Jackson tallied 146 receptions for 1,880 yards and 18 TDs and was selected to the Pro Bowl twice.
