Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: Describe DNA-damage response (DDR) pathways and the rationale for targeting DDR mutations with PARP inhibitors as a cancer therapeutic strategy, Assess the clinical role, efficacy, and safety of PARP inhibitors in multiple tumor types, including ovarian, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, across different treatment settings, Counsel patients receiving PARP inhibitor therapy on strategies to prevent and/or manage treatment emergent adverse events, Provide appropriate education and guidance to patients on the safe and effective clinical use of novel PARP inhibitors, including dosing, the need for adherence to therapy, and enrollment into clinical trials.
