Stephen King was famously displeased with Stanley Kubrick's 1980 adaptation of his book about hotels and the souls they devour. Apparently King felt that 17 years was all it took for the public to forget one of the most beloved horror films of all time, and set about EPing a miniseries adaptation of his classic novel. Directed by Mick Garris, and starring Steven Weber and Rebecca de Mornay as Jack and Wendy Torrence, Stephen King's The Shining is a trip into the valley of the uncanny and then the mountain of exposition.

The first plot twist of Quicksilver Highway is learning that there's a movie called Quicksilver Highway.

Another "horror titan" team-up anthology, Quicksilver Highway takes stories from both Stephen King and Clive The Hellraiser Guy Barker. For the second time in a short time, Mick Garris is steering the ship to tell the story of the bizarrely named Aaron Quicksilver (Christopher Lloyd), who then in turn tells the stories of America's dark underbelly. His words, not ours. It's cartoony horror from start to finish, and it's barely fine.

When comedian/host of Callin' the Shots Taylor Allen chose to come on the show for the THINNER episode, he might have known the movie itself would be good, but he probably didn't know how badly Rob and Dan needed it after the past few weeks of schlock. Thinner is everything we're looking for in a Stephen King movie: scenery-chewing performances, the state of Maine, a Stephen King cameo, and no bloated mythology that tries to justify the movie's existence. Just some good old-fashioned *Romani* hexing and a cheap-ass fat suit.
