There are new California sexual harassment training regulations. Do you conduct business in the state of California? If so, listen up! California businesses have a deadline of January 1, 2021, to instate new sexual harassment policies. The change to the policy includes a new requirement for sexual harassment training.California extends the compliance deadline for new harassment prevention training. As you may recall, effective January 1, 2019, SB 1343 mandated all employers with 5 or more employees to provide sexual harassment prevention training to all employees by January 1, 2020. Supervisors are to receive interactive 2-hour training and non-supervisors interactive 1-hour training. The training must take place within 6 months of hire or promotion and every 2 years thereafter.
