May 30, 2016 5/29/16 - 5PM - Top of the Hour Newscast
The man killed in a Friday night crash on the Pyramid Highway has been identified as 56-year-old Bret Harris of Reno. The Nevada Highway Patrol says Harris was driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of the Pyramid Highway around 11 p.m. when his white car collided head-on with a silver Ford Escape just north of Calle de la Plata. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the Ford was taken by ground ambulance to a hospital with injuries describes as not life-threatening. Harris was not wearing his seat belt according to the NHP.

The City of Reno administrative offices at Reno City Hall on East First Street are closed today, in observance of Memorial Day. This includes the Community Development department and City Attorney's Office. The Reno Municipal Court on South Sierra Street will also be closed. Sparks City Hall the City Attorney’s Office located at Sparks City Hall, and the Sparks Municipal Court will also be closed. The Sparks Parks & Recreation Office will be closed including the Alf Sorensen Community Center and the Larry D. Johnson Community Center. All City of Reno recreation facilities are closed except for Northwest and Idlewild Pools, which will be open during their normal hours.
