Dozens of demonstrators gathered outside the GOP Lincoln Day Dinner in Fallon on Saturday evening to confront Nevada Senator Dean Heller, who was scheduled to speak at the event. The protesters disagree with Heller's stance on Obamacare. They said repealing the Affordable Care Act would take away health care from an estimated 371,000 Nevadans. Senator Heller shook hands with a few of the protesters on his way into the dinner but did not comment on the Affordable Care Act.

Washoe County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Panther Valley man early this morning following a domestic battery incident and standoff. Deputies were able to safely escort family members from the residence, but the suspect, 29-year-old Thomas Teachout, refused to cooperate and locked himself inside the house and was reported to be armed with at least one knife. He was charged with domestic battery, assault with a deadly weapon, and battery on a protected person.

Officials have ordered residents near the Oroville Dam north of Yuba City to evacuate the area. They say a "hazardous situation is developing" after an emergency spillway severely eroded. The Butte County Sheriff's Office says the emergency spillway could fail within an hour unleashing uncontrolled flood waters from Lake Oroville. The department says people in downstream areas need to leave the area immediately. It says residents of Oroville should head north toward Chico. Water began flowing over the emergency spillway at dam on Saturday for the first time in its nearly 50-year history after heavy rainfall.

Reno PD responded to the corner of 2nd and Virginia Street just before midnight last night, to reports of a shooting in front of the Cal-Neva. Police blocked off the front of the casino until about 1 am while an investigation was conducted. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. Police said the injured man was not cooperative and there were no independent witnesses or video so they have no suspect information. Anyone with information is asked to call Secret Witness,
