The city of Reno authorized a new action plan for the downtown area earlier this year, and last night, the Progressive Urban Management Associates, or PUMA, made their presentation to the Reno City Council. Over a thousand people responded to an online survey asking which issues the city should focus on. The top three issues in the survey were: Reducing homelessness, redeveloping blighted or vacant properties, and improving safety downtown. Another meeting is scheduled for this morning at 9:30 at the McKinley Arts & Culture Center.
