On today's episode, Jason shares his thoughts on the NFL Network report suggesting that the San Francisco 49ers have narrowed down their choices at #3 to Mac Jones or Trey Lance. Neither quarterback has much experience at the college level, and scouts are skeptical about how each will transition to the NFL. Jones was the triggerman for a stacked roster at Alabama while Lance beat up on inferior competition. Enter the 'arrogant' Kyle Shanahan. There isn't a coach in the NFL who has more confidence in his system than Shanahan. Multiple outlets have reported that the 49ers head coach isn't looking for the most talented or the most dynamic quarterback at #3; All he really wants is a player who fits his system. With all the hype surrounding Jones and Lance, Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields' stock appears to have taken a hit... even if nobody is sure exactly why. Nearly every legitimate criticism you can make about Fields as a prospect can be applied to both Jones and Lance, and those two are in consideration at #3. Perhaps Fields will fall all the way down to Rob G's Las Vegas Raiders. Wouldn't that be something? Finally, Jason closes the show with a quick thought on Kevin Durant's return to action in the Brooklyn Nets' victory over the Phoenix Suns. It's hard to learn much from a Sunday game in April, but one thing is certain: the Nets with a healthy Durant are still the class of the Eastern Conference.
