When Governor Herbert re-opened many Utah businesses at the beginning of May, he also approved Grand County’s much stricter local regulations on overnight lodging and camping. As these statewide plans get crafted, how do our local officials communicate with the Governor’s office to ensure new health orders work for Grand County? We speak with Grand County Attorney Christina Sloan, who is involved in these negotiations. Plus, more on masks with Moab Sun News managing editor Maggie McGuire. In their latest edition, the paper devoted several column inches to clarifying recent policy on mask requirements and recommendations. And, our radio partners report that over 100,000 acres of public land may be considered for mineral leasing around Moab. Tune in.
