土佐に大塚という侍がいた。

ある日のこと、大塚は山へ火縄銃を持って狩猟へ出かけた。

しかし、その日は山鳥一羽しか取れず、大塚は山井戸へ落ちてしまった。

There was a samurai named Otsuka in Tosa.

One day, he went hunting in the mountains with a flintlock gun.

However, he only caught one wildfowl that day and fell into a mountain well.
