円朝が学校の教員から教えてもらった話。

イタリヤの流行作家は、ちょっと気が利かない人で、出版社の使い走りの小僧へお駄賃をやらない。

このことに小僧は憤慨し、ある日、扉の開け閉めをギィー！　廊下をバタバタ駆けるという不作法をする。

流行作家先生、小僧を注意して、自分が使い走り、小僧を先生として、礼儀を教える。

This is a story that Encho learned from a teacher at school.

A popular writer in Italy was a bit of an unprincipled man who did not pay his errand boy at the publishing house.

This upset the boy so much that one day, when he opened and closed the door, he screamed!　One day, the boy is so upset about this that he opens the door and shouts, "Gee!

The writer, who was a popular writer, warned the boy and taught him manners, using himself as the errand boy and the boy as his teacher.
