Is this Book titled The Waters of Love which is on the cover or Danger to the Duke, which is what the title page reads? Probably the latter as that is what the book is about.

It is an interesting and well written story, but the formatting leaves a lot to be desired. On almost every page, a sentence is split in the middle to continue in a new paragraph. I wonder if the person formatting it has a device which automatically reads 'new paragraph' every time it sees a comma or closing inverted commas?

Fascinating, Suspenseful, Wholesome

This is a a novel in the Christian genre. This book jumps right into the text. It takes us through 28 chapters. In case a group wants to use this book, a page of discussion questions appear right after the story ends. Then Linden follows with Acknowledgments of those who made this work possible. She ends with her author bio. Rachel Linden, who wrote this book, is a novelist. Also, she is an international aide worker. she has traveled to 50 countries. Her experiences have inspired her books.

I read through this book fast. It is a fascinating read. The suspense of what the outcome would be has kept me reading. THere is little mention of God and none of Christ. This book cannot really be described as Christian fiction as it does not point readers to Jesus. I have not seen that at any point in my reading. But this is a wholesome novel. Through its characters and the lessons of its leading characters, it lifts up family values. Through its plots and subplots, ASCENSION OF LARKS lifts up the values of self-sacrifice, commitment, unselfishness, and courage. All of us need to learn these lessons or our lives, relationships, and relationships will fall apart. I found the end of this novel more of a teaser than a happy ending. The author kept me in suspense almost to the end. We need more novels like this.

I recommend this book for anyone. It is for anyone who enjoys reading novels but who are offended by the trashy and trie novels that are so often sold. But it is not a Christian novel in the strict sense as there is no mention of Christ and little of God. And I think that any book that advertises as a CHristian book should point its readers to Jesus.

This book was one of my favorites of this series. I cant put into words how great Eric G Dove was, he is one of my favorite narrators.

Captivating!

I found this book captivating from beginning to end. I fell in love with Walker right from the start. Jeanette has been an intriguing character in many of the Sweetgrass stories and it is wonderful to finally read her story and have her get her HEA. She has been a bit of a curmudgeon in a lot of the stories but she drew me in and had me wishing that she would find love and a rewarding & enjoyable way to use her talents. As usual Jean Brashear weaves a wonderful story and keeps us hooked to her series! Looking forward to the next book.

Eric Dove outdoes himself narrating this book. One of the highlights of the book was when Walker sang the song he wrote for Jeanette. I cried listening to it and had to pause the book until I got myself together so I wouldn't miss what happened next. Erics voice is rich and melodic, and so pleasant to listen to. He is a talent unto himself and I will definitely be searching out his music. What an amazing combination these two makeJean Brashear and Eric Dovewhat else could you ask for in an audiobooksimply perfect!

I loved it!!!

I so enjoyed listening to this book! I loved how the narrator (Pam Dougherty) was able to give so many characters distinguished voices and able to put so much into her performance. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen. I thought the author did a great job at developing the characters and had some surprising twists. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was provided with this audiobook at my request and have chosen to write this review. I will definitely look for more books by both the author and narrator.

This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the Lone Star series written by Katie Graykowski and narrated by Pam Dougherty. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the other books in this series. Debra Covington has spent the last ten years trying to make Warren Daniver pay for choosing a million dollars instead of her. She has dated the entire football team that Warren owns. When she ends up in trouble she knows she needs to get her life in order. She is now working at Safe Place helping victims of domestic violence. Warren Daniver is the owner of the football team, and now that Debra is no longer around the team he cant stop thinking about her. He wants to tell her the truth about the money but she wont talk to him.

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises.

The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didnt want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Fox is great

Wow I absolutely loved this book. Fox and Sasha are great together. Friends to lovers is one of my favorites and this was done great. Fox trying to get a spot as a NHL hockey player and Sasha as a reporter was great. I highly recommend this book to anyone. Fox and Sasha are hot together

Sebastian York and Traci Odom are a great narrating team that makes it so you don't want to put the book down.

Sports romance at its best

Nana Malone, why did I not know about this author before? I have skimmed over her books in the audible, but never listened to one. I am so glad I started with Fox, it was a fun friends to lovers listen and warmed my heart. This is the fourth in the series, but my first listen. I do think listening to the others would give you a good family foundation background, but I didn't feel that I missed anything by not listening to the books in order. This book brings us Fox Coulter, the hockey player of the ever rich and famous Coulter family. He is kind of the black sheep, he doesn't follow in the footsteps of the family, deciding college wasn't for him and goes straight to hockey from high school. The rejection time after time of not getting into the pros is taking a toll on him, but we do have his best friend Sasha to help him through these hard times. Sasha is a journalist, and is an intern for the local news station. The two have incredible chemistry, but this book has some twists that keep you guessing. I know there was one near the end of the book that I just didn't know how it was going to play out. Those are the best kind of plots, you think you know how it will work out, and then BAM..a wrench is thrown in.

These two characters are both very strong and very weak. I love that they are able to use their strength and help the other out of situations that only each other could understand and help with. The passion and friendship is an incredibly strong bond. Fox's brothers and sister also were the supporting cast for the most part, and I love the relationship they have with each other. You can tell they always have each other's backs. The most interesting part of the book for me was the illness that Nana Malone brings out in Fox's father. It's an autoimmune disease. I love and appreciate when an author takes a real life issue and includes it in a story line. I know it's not the forefront story, but it does bring out how something like an autoimmune can take down a vibrant person and the need for time and rest is necessary. Kudos!

One of my all time favorite books!

I already read this book but I'm kinda completely obsessed with this series so of course I had to listen to the audiobook.

I wasn't really sure if audiobooks were my thing but I'm not surprised that I ended up loving it so much!

If you're looking for a unique MC book with badass characters, amazing storyline and great music this one has it all.

Maven and Dornan are perfect for each and their relationship is incredibly beautiful. They're without a doubt one of my all-time favorite couples.

I also really enjoyed the narrators voice. It was quite soothing even as weird as it may sound.

This book is everything I love about novels and audio books. I was intrigued, involved, curious, turned on, emotional, shocked, happy. This was just so good! The narrator was awesome and was perfect. Definitely a must read!

This story is so good. And sometimes with audio books, certain parts can be uncomfortable. The narrator did a great job.

I absolutely love this series and can't get enough. I have already read this series and jumped at the chance to start it again on audible. I love the narrator, her voice was smooth and fit the character perfectly. Even when she was doing other characters it was easy to follow along and kept you entertained throughout the entire story. This is one of the best MC series out there and the storylines of each character makes it a standout among other books.

Maven and Dornan come to life!

There's no doubt that my first audiobook would have to be for one of my favorite must read series. This book is unlike any MC romance that I've read before. Maven and Dornan's relationship was such a roller coaster of emotions that I couldn't get enough of. Running With The Devil is such a compelling and heartbreaking story that I couldn't wait to listen to the audiobook! The narrator did such an impeccable job in capturing the essence and mood of this riveting love story. Furthermore, I loved how the narration made this wonderful story and colorful cast of characters come to life so effortlessly. I couldn't help in feeling immersed in the world of Plantain! Despite the few moments of background noise, I found the narration very enjoyable and highly entertaining.

Love is still sexy at 46

This series is advertised as being about sexy, hot, older men. But let's face it, Silver Foxes can always get hot girls of any age. The hero of this book, Lawson (aka Lawless, Law) is the poster boy of girl magnet power. What is amazing about this series is that these hot men actually fall in love with women their own age. Law has known Libby "Chesty" chesterfield since high school where he blew his chance with her when he blew off a date because he was drunk. Fast forward to the present when they meet at a high school reunion. Law is now a sous-chef at a local hotel and Libby is a twice-divorced yoga instructor. They both have designs on the local dive the Toasted Pelican.

As they work through their personal issues as well as business issues, their walls start to come down and they open themselves up to a real relationship they both are able to overcome the hurts of the past to work towards a future together.

This book goes to show that older people not only can have hot sexy relationships but that readers still want to see them do it.

Barefoot at Midnight

This was a great addition to this series with Law finally finding someone to love and be loved in return which Libby truly did. Law was always told by his parents that it was his fault that his older brother died and stopped loving him.

A beautiful love story!

Destiny brings Grayson to his knees just in time to save Emery's life. Emery is heartwarming and easy to love. Her genuine good-nature style brings her also into the protection of a made man after her kindness toward a mobster's young grandchild. Drama catapults Emery and her white knight into a whirlwind romance that you can't help but fall in love with. You will love the protective and alpha male that is Grayson, a man any red-blooded woman would f themselves secretly hoping for the same loving devotion would be their own. You will love this book!

A relatable love story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! It doesn't conform to the traditional early twenty-something female with little life experience and a great deal of insecurities to overcome, paired off with a wealthy cynical older man. This book gives a love story of two people who have lived lives and actually find real intimacy in a relationship. There emotions are relatable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fight for Her?

When Gray goes in search of her and does his best to protect her from a harmful situation.

When they are in the gym and he is showing her a sparring move.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book made me laugh and it was also enjoyable to listen to a love story that could be envisioned as a real couple with hopes and insecurities to overcome. Their interactions and thoughts were authentic. Granted it was a short listen but it ended at a moment in the relationship that the reader could imagine them being together permanently.

I started to listen to Vanessa Vale with her Bridgewater ménage series and I am happy to say that I like her modern storytelling too, and I hope she continues to write more of the modern romances. I love the duality in her stories word you can go inside the head of both characters to get a full picture of their story line progression. Also, keep the narrator, who gives a great performance.

For anyone who loves a gentle, loving MMA fighter this story is a winner. Emory meets the man who can love and appreciate her for her gentle strength in Gray. He, in return, meets the woman who loves him for who he is as a person instead of the celebrity his MMA talent has made him. It was a joy to see them get what they both needed.
