On this edition of the "Last Word on Sports Media Daily" hoat Mike Gill gets you caught up on some interesting news.

The Cleveland Browns have hired a radio play by play replacement for Jim Donovan, as the long time 25 veteran on the mic has had to retire for now due to reoccurance of leukemia for him. That new voice will be Andrew Siciliano formerly with the NFL Network and DirecTV's RedZone channel on Sundays. Siciliano is an Ohio native and massive Browns fans and Mike gives his thoughts on it all.

Plus, there's more news involving the NFL Redzone and it's current host Scott Hanson and whether his contract situation is about to become an issue for him remaining in the role long term? Mike has more on the situation and how Hanson helped himself even more with his work on the NBC/Peacock 'Gold Zone" covergage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, which mimicked what he does for the NFL.

And, of course, regular season action kicks off Thursday night with the Kansas City Chiefs beginning defense of their back to back tities, as they take on the Baltimore Ravens on NBC Sports.
