Last Word on Habs Pod: Shea Weber is Back
On this week's episode, our intrepid hosts discuss the return of Shea Weber back into the Canadiens lineup. Did the captain have an impact on the team or was it the same old? The answer, a bit of both!
After reviewing the Habs week, Connor wonders if Habs fans have seen the last of Carey Price at his best. This leads to a discussion about who is worth the upper echelon contracts in the NHL. If Carey Price is no longer Carey Price, will the contract Marc Bergevin gave him become a hindrance to the Habs when they are ready to seriously compete.
The other big piece of news this week was the Habs placing Karl Alzner on waivers. Johannes wonders if this redeems Marc Bergevin in someway. Connor is not so sure, but that could just be his Bergevin bias.
All this and can Artturi Lehkonen score 20 goals this year, winners and losers, Nikita Scherbak, parenting talk and much much more.

  • Video Games 2 the MAX #197: Gamers Choice Awards, Nairi: Tower of Shirin, Daredevil Canceled
On this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX, Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison discuss quite a few topics. Not to mention, they have listened to the audience and commenters as well. Welcome to their first video podcast. What will hopefully be the first of many to come. The guys begin talking about CBS doing a Gamers Choice Awards. What it means for the industry to now have two award shows basically back to back. Will this one be good? What do they think of the actual awards? And will the celebrities help or hurt the show? They also talk about Starbreeze Studios issues thanks to a bad game. Loot Boxes possibly being investigated by the Federal Trade Commission. Fallout 76 being investigated for a potential lawsuit, and what nylon bags have to do it. They also talk about the possible surprises and games we could see at the Game Awards. One name that won't be there is Rocksteady. Who aren't making a Superman game, as many speculated? But what are they making? Plus, Daredevil canceled. Evangelion is coming to Netflix. Marc talks Just Cause 4 and Detroit: Become Human. While Sean talks Bendy and the Ink Machine and Nairi: Tower of Shirin. Both guys get excited about Persona Dancing and Super Smash Bros. too.

  • MnM Hockey Podcast - William Nylander and More With Totally Offside
The guys are back for a busy week of news. With all the coverage they brought back guest Totally Offside to help recap everything that went on! Alex and Chace start by looking at the Carolina Hurricanes pair of moves. Waiving Scott Darling and Valentin Zykov. The guys debate about whether or not that was smart, and if we see Darling in the NHL again.
Following that, the trio looks at the Dylan Strome for Nick Schmaltz trade. Totally Offside thinks there was a clear winner, while Alex isn't quite sure. They have a look at what it means for both teams going forward and why it made sense for both sides.
The big topic of the talk was obviously William Nylander. William Nylander signed a 6 year, 6.9 AAV extension on Saturday. The three start by breaking down how good the deal actually is. They look at his deal versus other RFAs.
After that, they look at how it will affect the lineup and who will be moved out. They guess at all of this before the Josh Leivo trade was announced. Finally, they look at the Leafs going forward and discuss why an offer sheet just doesn't make sense for a team to do.
Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

  • MnM Hockey Podcast - Edmonton Oilers, St. Louis Blues and Week Review
The guys are back with a very busy week of news to talk about. They start by looking at a trio of Edmonton Oiler moves. They break down the Chris Wideman trade and why that was a smart move to make. Alex and Chace also look at the hiring of Ken Hitchcock. They debate whether or not it will help the team this season. Finally, they look at the Ryan Strome for Ryan Spooner trade and reflect on how poor the Jordan Eberle trade has turned out for Edmonton.
Following that, they switch their sites to St. Louis Blues news. Chace is confused on why this team has struggled so much. Alex thinks that firing Mike Yeo for Craig Berube was the correct decision to make. They look at the Blues team going forward and discuss whether or not they can turn it around.
After, they look at the Arizona Coyotes and talk about a Jacob Chychrun extension. Alex and Chace both agree on the signing. The guys discuss what it would be like to see the Coyotes back in the playoffs.
Lastly, they talk about Matt Duchene rumours. Alex thinks it makes no sense to sign him to an 8 year deal for Ottawa. He weighs the pros and cons to doing so. Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

    NHL Trades
There were a pair of trades this week. We examine what the moves mean for these teams and where they could be headed next.
    William Nylander

    Carey Price's Struggles
Meanwhile, the talk in Montreal centres around the struggles of the Canadiens superstar goaltender, Carey Price. How bad have things gotten? How much of the criticism and the panic deserved? What is causing the issues? Will Price bounce back to an elite goalie?
    Andrei Vasilevskiy Injury
Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy has a broken foot. Can the team rely on Louis Domingue to carry the load in his absence? Can they stay in first place without their top goalie?
    Elias Pettersson
Vancouver Canucks rookie centre Elias Pettersson is running away with the Calder Trophy race. NHL Legend Wayne Gretzky has taken notice and had some impressive compliments for the youngster. Is this level of praise deserved?

All that and more as we go on the Power Play
