  • MnM Hockey Podcast - NHL New Years Resolutions
The guys are back in the New Year. This time, they bring some NHL New Years resolutions along with them! Alex and Chace have multiple things they would like to see worked on or changed in the NHL over the new year.
Things like longer suspensions. Alex and Chace both agree that the league needs to hand out longer suspensions to increase the overall safety of the game. Chace also wants to see a gold drafting system. However, Alex is not as sure on that idea. The guys break down other things they want to see. Such as contract length and trades they want. Chace really wants to see teams have to go more analytical in their day-to-day approaches.
Following the NHL New Years Resolutions, the guys take a look at the brand new Jake Guentzel contract. They talk about why this may have been a mistake to make. Alex also has a bone to pick with Habs twitter over David Schlemko.
Lastly, the guys look at Vegas and Brandon Pirri. They ask why he can't find a stable NHL job and look at his very solid performance thus far. Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

Last Word on Habs Pod: Happy New Year, Montreal Canadiens!
On the first episode of 2019, the boys dive into all things Montreal Canadiens. The Habs never-say-die attitude has persisted so far this season. It showed up again in their last few games coming back, battling hard and winning big games.
Despite their Goonies-esque compete level, the Habs find themselves on the outside of the playoff picture for the first time this season. While there is still a lot of time left to go, the Habs appear to be in a dogfight to get into the dance. Do they have enough to get in? Needless to say, the Habs difficult schedule over the next 13 days will go a long way in determining where this team stands.
The guys also discuss all things World Juniors. The disappointment of Canada, to the joy of Finland, the frustration of Russia and the utter lunacy of some hockey fans. With Canada's failure to medal in the tournament, should there be a need to re-evaluate how Canada is developing players?
All this and Carey Price returns to the nets, an uneventful return of PK, new jobs, eight-year-old birthdays and much more.
    TUNE IN!
    Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Last Word on Habs Pod: Holiday Special
On this very special edition of the Last Word on Habs pod, our hosts discuss the Canadiens first half. Our hosts give their first-half MVP and loser. Connor has a pretty hot take for his loser.
Johannes joins in the hot taking as he reels of a few hot takes of his own. He wants to get Connor's opinions on them. Needless to say, Johannes things the Habs window to build a competitive team is shrinking.
The guys also look into some potential trade scenarios the Habs might explore. It's obvious the Habs need help at the top of their blueline depth, but how can they get the help they need. Connor thinks they need to be creative using their cap space.
The news of Carey Price's injury is also discussed. What does it mean for the future of the team if their star goalie consistently finds himself on the IR?
All this and Christmas discussed, baby Daniel has a meltdown and some World Junior's talk.
    TUNE IN!
    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

  • MnM Hockey Podcast - World Junior Championships Preview With Ben Kerr
Alex and Chace are back and have brought a guest. This week, Last Word's own Ben Kerr joins the guys to help preview the Wolrd Junior Championships. Ben released a pair of articles highlighting players to watch in Group A and Group B over the weekend.
The trio starts by taking a look at who will find themselves in the relegation round. It is a consensus pick for each division. They then talk about who may find themselves relegated and why this may be OK.
Following that, they take a look at which two teams may find themselves looking at a 4th place seeding. Once again, a rather consensus pick. However, the guys do note that both these teams have the potential for an upset.
The three then move on and rank the top 6 teams. Ben has what the guys consider a hot take about who is number 6, however, provides a convincing reason why. They go all the way down to one. Once they get to the first place team they take a deep dive looking at what line combos and goalies may look like.
Finally, they give their final thoughts on the tournament and wrap the Holiday Special World Junior Championships preview episode. Do you agree with the rankings? Let them know here or on Twitter!
