  • MnM Hockey Podcast - NHL Trade Deadline Preview
The guys are back for another week. This week, they decide to look ahead at the 2019 NHL Trade Deadline. With LWOH kicking off their rumour posts, Alex figured it'd be a good time to look at what teams should do. For this, the guys broke teams into 6 categories.
First, they start by looking at teams that should be all in on selling. For whatever reasons. They look at teams that expected to be good and were disappointed. As well as teams that knew they would be in this situation. They talk about who and what to sell for each team.
Following that, they look at teams who are around the bubble. Slight sellers, stay put or slight buyers. It is most teams playing with house money. That or teams that don't have a great shot at a cup this season.
Next, they look at what teams should be all in buyers. This category has the cup contenders the guys think should go for it. From teams that have a closing window and need to be all in. To teams that have a great young team and have a good opportunity to win now. The guys break down the targets for each team and if they should buy big or small.
Lastly, the guys look at teams they have no idea what to do with. Whether this is a cup team with player UFA problems. Or two teams on the bubble but not sure they should be trying to lose. Alex and Chace discuss what they would do if they were running these teams. Tune in for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

Last Word on Habs Pod: How to Fix the Montreal Canadiens Power Play
On this episode of the Last word on Habs pod, out hosts discuss a disappointing week for the Habs. While going 2-2 in a busy week with some travel, Johannes and Connor agree, the Habs should have done better. Their task gets no easier with another four games this week against much stronger opponents.
The guys discuss what the Habs should do heading towards the trade deadline. Johannes thinks (and hopes) that Marc Bergevin will pull off a big move to help the team. Connor has a more pragmatic approach to the deadline, thinking the off-season is where the Habs might make their move. Still, with the team on the bubble, they can't stand pat.
The Canadiens power play is last in the NHL and it has been an issue for several years. What do the Canadiens need to do to correct? The guys try to fix the Habs power play woes. With an even average power play, the Habs might be in a more comfortable position in the standings.
All this and winners and losers, the family's being sick, family ski trips and much much more!
    TUNE IN!
**Programming note, The guys will not be recording next weekend as Johannes is away. Look for another pod after the All-Star Break. **
