Last Word on Habs Pod: Montreal Canadiens Keep Rolling
This week on the LWOH pod, our hosts celebrate the predictive powers of Connor, as he nailed the Habs week.
With the Habs winning two of three this week and five of six, the Habs have rebounded nicely from a difficult November. Still, the Habs are entering a difficult stretch in their schedule, the dreaded Christmas road trip. Historically this has not been a kind trip for the Habs, but will it be different this year? Connor does not, but Johannes is more optimistic.
It has become more and more evident that several Habs players listen in to the pod as Artturi Lehkonen has found his game after Johannes expressed his confidence in his ability.
Johannes hist Connor with some rapid fire questions. Then the guys dip their toes into trade discussions.
All this and baby Daniel turns one, Johannes parties hard, winners and losers, USA hockey coaching clinics and much much more!
Also, from the Last Word on Habs pod, we are wishing all our listeners a happy and safe holiday season.
    TUNE IN!
** Programming note, the guys will be taking the next two weeks off recording for the holiday season. Look for a new pod early January. But if you are all good little listeners, you might get a little surprise during the break!**

  • MnM Hockey Podcast - NHL Injuries and Toronto Maple Leaf Rumours
The guys are back with another busy week in the NHL. Alex and Chace start by looking at the Ottawa Senators. The Sens have seen a bunch of guys be placed on IR lately. Such as Matt Duchene, Dylan DeMelo, Bobby Ryan and more. The guys look at how this will affect Ottawa going forward.
Next, they look at some injuries to Oscar Klefbom and Antti Raanta. The guys take a look at how this will affect both teams and why these are such big losses for teams that needed to have big seasons. Alex wonders what it will take for Arizona to see the playoffs again.
Following that, the guys switch to look at the terrible run the Chicago Blackhawks have been on. The Hawks won just 4 of their last 23 games and had to 7 plus game losing streaks in that stretch. Alex hopes they don't get a high pick in this year's draft as he has felt other GMs have helped the Hawks out enough.
Finally, the guys switch to their final topic, Toronto Maple Leaf rumours. Alex and Chace dive into the Alex Pietrangelo and Wayne Simmond rumours. Both linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs in some way over the past week. Chace is very frustrated by the pair of Toronto Maple Leaf Rumours. Overall, they look at if it makes sense for either one and how it would look on Toronto.
Come for all of this and more, with the MnM Hockey Podcast!

  • Last Word on Habs Pod: Montreal Canadiens Win Three in a Row

Last Word on Habs Pod: Montreal Canadiens Win Three in a Row
On this weeks episode of the pod, Connor and Johannes change things up a little. This episode was recorded during the Habs and Blackhawks game. Partly in the second intermission and partly after the game. There may have been some technical difficulties that led to this, but still its something new!
Connor and Johannes talk about the Habs back to back 5-2 wins over the Senators earlier in the week. The Habs seem to have rebounded from a difficult November. After dispatching the 'Hawks as well, the Canadiens are now on a three-game winning streak!
After some disappointing play, it's clear that Habs forward Max Domi and goaltender Carey Price listen to the pod as Connor's harsh criticism of them seems to have sparked their inspired play this week. Any time these guys want to be a guest, they are more than welcome.
Connor and Johannes then revisit the idea of the Habs making a trade to push for this year. It seems Johannes has joined Connor on thinking its not a smart idea.
All this and winners and losers, Carey Price, World Juniors and much more!
    TUNE IN!!
