  • Breast Cancer Survivor Story (Part 2) - Judie Henninger 7/25/15
Judie Henninger is a breast cancer survivor and joins us to talk about her journey using a combination of traditional and alternative health practices. Two years ago Judie went in for a routine mammogram and check up, which she did every year. After the mammogram the doctor asked her to come back for an ultrasound because they saw something. After the ultrasound they did a biopsy and she was diagnosed with breast cancer on her left side.

The waiting process between the mammogram and the ultrasound and the biopsy and then eventually the results was awful emotionally. The results were breast cancer and it was in one node. They asked her that day if she wanted to consult with a surgeon which she did. The treatment recommended as a mastectomy on the left side and chemotherapy.

Judie chose both an alternative health and an traditional health approach to treatment. She chose a surgeon, a plastic surgeon and an oncologist. She used acupuncture, meditation, teas, and various other things during her chemotherapy to help with the side-effects. She actually managed to avoid nausea during the chemotherapy treatment.

Now Judie spends her time mentoring and encouraging other women who are facing the same thing she had to face with breast cancer.

Late-Night-Health Debra-Dorfman-Speak-Your-TruthDenise believes, “Many people today are being diagnosed with autoimmune diseases, especially lupus, and they are told there is no cure. People are going to demand answers as to why they have this disease and how they can heal.” After she received her diagnosis, Denise began researching lupus and its causes. She came to the conclusion that the metaphysical cause of the disease was a person’s refusal to stand up for oneself. She decided that she wouldn’t allow herself to fall into that group and made affirmations and self-confidence her mantra. These daily practices, changed her mindset, which in turn, helped heal her body.

Through the use of her level II Reiki certification and a change in lifestyle and thinking, she emerged six years later with no active disease. Dorfman tells Mark about how she helps to bring healing to others who suffer from lupus with her book.

Mark and Denise explore the power of positive thinking, meditation, and affirmations. They will discuss how these practices changed Denise’s mindset and her overall wellbeing.

Today, Denise is living a happy and healthy lifestyle, speaking on the topic of emotional healing, mindfulness, and metaphysical practices to support living healthier lives.
