As of Star Citizen Alpha 3.17 there are not many characters in the verse. 2 of the existing characters, The Voice of New Babbage and Agent Rowena Dulli (of the Xenothreat Event), are portrayed by the same person. A big part of what makes Star Citizen so great is the depth in gameplay options, the insane detail of ship interiors, and the diverse lore and atmosphere surrounding various locations. These details also slow the game down in development, and your ability to play. There is a spectrum of beliefs on this matter, generally correlating with when backers joined the project, but the question will always remain. Is the detail worth it?
