All throughout history, people have always consumed food not for pleasure or desire, but for survival. However, we often fail to understand that what we eat defines us. It can dictate our mood and how we feel about ourselves in general. Today, we look at food as a medium for contentment, happiness, and overall well being.
In this week’s podcast episode, I chat with Dr. Siri Chand Khalsa, a board-certified Doctor of Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine, and an Ayurvedic practitioner. We talked about how she was able to find and undergo a deeply spiritual experience while traveling to India. Through her journey, she has discovered the link between plant-based diet and health.
We talk about how her journey to India has transformed her spiritually, and how she overcame her desire for meat despite being a bacon-lover. In our conversation, we also talk about how to incorporate vegetables into your diet in a more effective way.
If you are someone who wants to make better food choices but is finding it difficult to make the shift, then this episode is just for you. Unlock the secret to contentment in life through food and listen to this podcast now!

Most women consider menopause as a stage of loss—we lose our youth, our beauty, our relevancy, and our sexuality. Because of the beliefs that were programmed into our brain since childhood, we start believing that you lose your identity upon reaching the menopausal period. However, that doesn’t mean we have to stop growing and living a spark-filled life.
In this week’s podcast episode, I talk with Annabel Wilson, founder, and director of Living Ashram. Five years ago, she embarked on an incredible journey of awakening to purpose. On this journey, she found the key to living a juicy, spark-filled life which she willingly shares through the Living Ashram app.
In our conversation, we talked about how beliefs shape our reality, the importance of examining our beliefs, about spiritual longing, guilt and shame and its consequences, the essence of forgiveness, and how to find out what your core values are.
If you are someone who wants to continue blazing your own path after menopause and live a purposeful life, this episode is for you. Listen to this podcast and level up your life now!

We all want to age gracefully, but the truth is that aging isn’t always glamorous. Women going through menopause deal with a lot of difficulties because aside from the emotional turmoil, there are also physical pains and dysfunctions like having osteoporosis. Women over the age of 50 are the ones most likely to develop this disease, but the good news is there’s something we can do about it.
In this week’s podcast episode, I talk with Sarah Purcell, a former investment banker turned Pilates and Yoga teacher. When Sarah was diagnosed with osteoporosis, she searched for ways to heal and found that movement and weight-bearing activity were the keys to fighting this disease.
During our conversation we discussed what osteoporosis is, the role of good nutrition for better health, how Sarah reversed her osteoporosis to osteopenia, the difference between osteoporosis and osteopenia, managing niggling aches and pains, and she also shows us a few exercises that we can do.
If you want to grow healthier and stronger as you age this episode is extremely helpful. Tune in to this podcast today!
What's Discussed in This Episode:
About the Guest:
Sarah Purcell is a long-time Pilates and Yoga teacher. She enjoys working one-on-one with clients to assess and tailor a program for them whether it’s in-person in Florida, or online via Zoom.
Sarah’s goal is to spread the word that aging does not have to mean core and pelvic floor dysfunction and aches and pains that keep coming back. And that we can grow stronger and healthier as we age!

We are all born dignified but somewhere along the way we lose our dignity due to factors like the society, our families, people we’re in a relationship with, and a lot more. It is our duty to reclaim what we have lost and start living a dignified life because without dignity there’s not much left of us. It’s not too late to start now, you’ll be surprised at the good things that await you.
In this podcast episode, I have a conversation with Lin Eleoff. Lin and I share a lot of things in common like how we have made a shift from our profession to being committed to work and help women become a better version of themselves. We focus our talk on dignity, how we lost it and how we can reclaim it. Lin explains how we can start bridging the disconnect between the mind and body, reasons why we have to ‘Woman Up’, and how we can start playing the cards we have regardless of our situation, etc.
Listen to this podcast and let’s begin the work of reclaiming our dignity.

Racism is real and not something new but continues to go unaddressed because there has been little to no acknowledgment of how it is affecting us as a society. Another thing that’s real is that our traditions and beliefs shape who we are, and that it can either empower us or limit us to becoming our best selves.
In this week’s podcast episode, I talk with SharRon Jamison, she tells us of her experiences with racism. She also talks about the difference between truth and beliefs, and how we can walk into the fullness of our humanity without the stamp of societal, religious, or institutional approval. She also encourages women in midlife and menopause to stand up today and ‘not settle’ because it is the most powerful time to do so, considering the influence we already have, and the importance of loving yourself and others as it is the path to becoming your best self.

People often associate success with luck but if you sit down and chat with those who have reached success, you’ll learn that luck had nothing to do with it. There is more to it than just being lucky to reach the top, and that’s what we hear from this week’s episode.
In this podcast I talk with one of my mentors, James Wedmore. He happily shares the role of one’s spirituality when it comes to business success and even with our relationship with money, he gives helpful advice to those who are living in fear so they can get out of it, and provides his personal perspective on why this COVID-19 is a reset and the opportunities that you can seize in a time like this.

George Floyd's tragic death while in police custody has sparked outrage all over the country. Incidents like this shows the ongoing problem with racism and how it wreaks havoc in our lives especially in the black community. There is a need to speak up and to have conversations regarding racism and to start asking ourselves ‘What can I do to see change?’.
This podcast episode is from one of my Facebook live sessions where I talk with women in The Menopause Movement community about racism and it’s a really difficult conversation to have. Maybe some will ask, what does this problem have to do with menopausal women? Well, I’d say, a lot. I believe that we, menopausal women, have influence, we have a voice that we can use to educate and draw healthy conversations about this issue especially with the people that surround us like our children and grandchildren, co-workers, friends, etc.
Our silence doesn’t help at all. Tune in to this episode.

Domestic violence is real and reports saying that there is a decrease in cases is far from true. Why? Because victims are actually struggling in silence. Many women are trapped in a situation that they can’t get out of easily. This shouldn’t be just a fight of one, this should be our fight. What’s important now is for us to not turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to what’s happening but be sensitive and ready to take action when the situation calls for it.
In this week’s episode, Miki Sturges shares very important insights regarding the reality of domestic violence and how a lot of women are suffering especially during this pandemic. As a woman who experienced abuse herself, Miki talks about the signs of abuse, using codes to ask for help, how to plan an escape now, and the importance of rewiring your brain to get out of the victim mentality.
If it’s freedom you want or you want to help someone being abused, this is the episode for you.

Living in a masculine-dominant society means that there’s little focus on women’s sexual pleasure. Emphasis is placed on how women can please men.
As women, our well-being is tied to our sexual health. To take away pleasure is similar to cutting women off from their own lives. But when a woman is sexually empowered, she gets closer to becoming who she actually is.
In the second installment of our sexual health series, we welcome back the Pleasure Witch, Julia Lally, who’s here to talk about the ancient Taoist sexual wellness tool, the jade egg. We go over the bad rap associated with it and its use for strengthening the pelvic floor. Julia also talks about the power of sexual healing, the vagina as a consciousness, and castration. In the end, we find out the benefits of sexual opening.
It’s time to reclaim your sexual power. If you’re curious how the jade egg can help you achieve greater pleasure, tune in to this episode now.
