Law and Order: Special Viewing Unit

Matt and Aviv read your correspondence and talk inspiration vs interpolation vs theft. We also tackle James Gunn, Sabrina Carpenter, and by popular request, Dean Cain.

We're back and we're more depressed than ever. Matt discovers where his customer service rage comes from, and we have a few choice words for Hank Abraham's buddy Benjamin Netanyahu.

Speaking of Hank Abraham, in this week's show, season 17 episode 15, he goes out in-- in our opinion-- a very character consistent way. But we never get to the most important question of the episode: What does Pippa Cox see in that guy?

Also there's a porn-sniffing dog...

Aviv's back and brings with him some hot takes. Matt is as measured as always.

Intro/Outro music is a cover of "Home Sweet Home" by Slysh, Aviv's favorite Icelandic emo band.

FYI: Our podcast platform recommended we add 10 additional ad breaks to this episode. We did not do that. You're welcome.

(00:00:00) How Was Your Week?

(00:11:20) Episode Review

Get in, losers. We're doing Kitty Genovese again! In Season 17, Episode 13: Forty-One Witnesses, we ask the tough questions: Why don't people take it upon themselves to get involved with police investigations. Why would someone sit in a cafe with a laptop and not be writing a screenplay? And exactly how wrong can everyone get a story that's pretty easy to understand.

Though it's the end of July, and the situation in Los Angeles and across the nation has gotten significantly worse, Aviv and Matt had some choice words for our newest secret police force all the way back in June.

(00:20:52) Episode Review

Aviv tells a story that had to be heavily censored. Lily sends a clarification email that doesn't actually clarify anything. Matt lets us in on his history with pre-mature ejaculation. Our hosts share their darkroom experiences. What does this all have to do with 9/11? Find out as we view and review SVU season 17 episode 12: A misunderstanding. Happy Bastile day: Aviv may or may not be stuck in France.

(00:00:00) Matt and Aviv Have Nothing To Say

(00:25:02) Episode Review

That sure is a nice townhouse you've got there. Would be a shame if there were some sort of... incident.

No joke, Aviv and Matt talk about so many things that don't matter that we had to fade out their rants. Not even worth a bonus episode. Yet, you still get to hear Aviv describe a noisy nectarine that he ate. What an episode we have for you this week! A hostage situation leads us to ask the questions: Why doesn't Stabler come in on a Harley and fix everything? And, could a writer decide something about a character half-way through an episode and then just change their personality on the fly?

All that and more on this week's episode of SVU.

(00:00:00) Matt Rants about Rich Blonde Women (not the one you think!)

(00:22:23) Episode Review

Matt has some thoughts about Sydney Sweeney's new bathwater soap and they are 'yum yum. give me that sexy bathwater'. We also are visited by the corpse of Christmas Present, Judge Jeanine Pirro in this week's episode, Catfishing Teacher
